If you want to treat Beast+ as half episodes, and if the entire series ends at episode 25 (which is just a theory at this point), then we'd only reach 195.5 episodes. But, I agree that an episode is an episode, regardless of length.
On a side-note, other milestones:
50th episode: "Forte" (EXE)
100th episode: "Fear of Summer Vacation" (Axess)
150th episode: "Worker Miyabi" (Stream) _________________

I was making a joke. :<
Yes they count as episodes, but they don't go as go as long and needed less work to animate and such. So it's not really fair to compare them to other series which were full 30 minute time slots. _________________

So? That's like saying it's not fair to compare, say, South Park to other shows because it's easy to animate. Heck, that's like saying it's not fair to compare any cartoon to a live-action show because live-action shows require more "work." But an episode's an episode, regardless of length. The shortened episode length isn't making the series progress any faster; we still only get one episode a week. And if anything, the animation has gone up in quality since Beast+ began... (And for the record, "regular" anime episodes aren't full 30 minutes. Considering commercial breaks, intros, credits, and next episode previews, episodes come closer to 20 minutes.) _________________

You're missing the point entirely. Sailor Moon and Inu Yasha had the standard half an hour timeslot as far as I know for their duration. So they had to animate for that time. Beast+ has half an hour, so has less to animate in terms of raw time. So, the total time for Rockman's 200 episodes is less than others.
Anyway, I am saying all this with humour in mind. So don't take it entirely seriously. It's simple logic on purpose. _________________

You probably meant Beast+ had half-a-half-an-hour. =P
No, I'm not missing the point. Yes, overall, there is less "time" in Beast+, but I'm saying that shows aren't compared on a single scale. Whether or not there's more or less "work" involved doesn't matter. Beast+ episodes are still episodes, not half-episodes or something. _________________

That is pretty suprising. But of course, some shows have been on longer. But pokemon doesn't have much of a plot anyway. Who would have thought something like this would add up this much. It really doesn't seem like that much when seperated. |
