~CHAPTER 35~

Haly K's Comment: I can't help but wonder how long this fic is going to take. Perhaps... *gasp!* Dare I say it?! 50 Chapters...? 50 chapters that are shorter than the ones in other fan fics?! Oh noez!

In the middle of the night, one of the doors in the hallway opened, and someone darted out of it and into another room down the hall. Maddy turned on the lights to make sure it was the bathroom.

She looked in the mirror and said, " Now, to get rid of the waterproofs..." Next to the sink was a small pink box with a sticky note on it. It said: ' If this won't work, nothing will! - Florara'

Maddy picked up the box, " So her name is Florara," She took off the sticky note and saw the label for the box underneath. It had a background of pink, red, and white roses, and on the right was a picture of a human-like female with a rose for a head and clothes made of plants and leaves. On the left it said, in big green letters, ' Rosela Rosemon's MIRICALE CREAM! Guaranteed to remove all types of make up, INCLUDING WATERPROOFS!'

Looking underneath, she then read the instructions, ' DIRECTIONS: Take a small handful of the MIRICALE CREAM (copyrighted), rub into hands, then rub over areas with cosmetics. Wash throughly. Repeat until all cosmetics have been completely removed. WARNING: When removing eye liner, eye shadow, etc. be careful as to not make direct contact with eyeballs. If contact occurs, please wash eyes throughly and immediately. If irritation occurs even after you have washed out the MIRICALE CREAM (copyrighted), please contact your doctor or the nearest Poision Control Center immediately.'

Haly K's Comment: Sounds pretty real huh? Like the actually directions/warning labels they put on hair gel and stuff. XD

Maddy said, " They have Poision Control Centers here too?" She then opened the box, and inside was a pale pink cream. She took a small handful, " Well, here goes nothing."

" You, of all the people I know, forgot to reserve a hotel room. I mean seriously!" Impmon complained as he layed on a branch in a tree near the palace, " I'm usually the one who screws things up like this, not you!"

" Will you shut up already?!" Janga screeched back to the Digimon in the branch above his, " It's bad enough that I'm still looking like a Sonic character, but you have to keep pointing out what I did wrong?!"

Impmon crossed his arms and said, " Yeah, well, I'M suppose to be the idiot around here, not you!!" He thought about what he just said for a moment, " No, wait..."

Janga turned over onto his stomach, " Just get to sleep already."

" I'm gonna have a little snack first."

" Wha?" Janga looked up and saw Impmon reaching into a big honeycomb that hung from the tree, " What are you doing?!? You want the bees after us!?!"

Impmon smirked, " Calm down! There aren't any bees buzzing around this one, so it's gotta be save!" The he pulled out his hand to find himself holding onto a small, round yellow bee with red stripes and green eyes, " Gah! Shoo shoo!" He tossed the bee away, but it came back and stung him in the stomach, " YEOWCH!!"

" Bzzz! What do you think I am, a honeybee hive?!" Said the honeycomb in an angered tone. Impmon staggered back and saw that the honeycomb was connect to a larger bee. The bee had a pointed nose and looked like it was wearing a floppy red hat. It asked, " Well, what do you have to say for yourself?!"

" Gah! Mutant talking beehive!!" Impmon screeched. He tried to run away, but he ended up falling onto Janga below.

The giant bee looked down, " Mutant talking beehive? I'm a HoneyBomber virus, you twit!"

Janga's ears perked up, " HoneyBomber...? Uh oh..."

" RiskyHoney!" The virus called out, and hundreds of bees like the one Impmon held before came swarming out of the HoneyBomber's hive.

" RUN FOR IT!!" Janga screamed, and he and Impmon darted away from the tree with the bees closing in on them.

The next day, Match was waiting outside Maddy's room. He sighed, ' How much longer am I gonna wait? I'm hungry!'

' Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,' Ryu replied, ' Plus, they've been showing that commercial thats says that women who eat breakfast weigh less.'

' Maddy's skinny enough, thank you.'

' Oh, but don't you mean--'

' You dare finish and I'll--'

' Why the heck are you afraid to admit about how much you love her?!'

' She knows I love her, and that's good enough.'

' Ha! I bet you can't even TRY to make a comment on her.'

' Oh really? How much you willing to bet?'

' ... 10 zenny.'

' Wimp!'

' Fine! 1000 zenny!! But you have to tell her the comment yourself!!'

' Done and done,' He knocked on the door, " Hey Maddy, are you done yet or what?"

" Come iiiiiiin," Maddy called out from inside.

Haly K's Comment: 'Called out from inside'... Was that a oxymoron? o_o;

Match opened the door and walked in. Maddy was in front of the mirror and in a red kimono than had golden dragons and silver phoniexes sowed into it. The cloth belt she wore was a pale green. She turned around and smiled, " Well? What do you think? My dad made it just for me! Cool, huh?"

' Well? Say something, TA-DA-SHI!' Ryu hissed.

Match smiled, " So, you did take my advice, right?"

Maddy looked confused, " Um, what?"

Match blushed and continued, " You're not wearing any make up at all now. And I though the freckles made you look cute. By the way, that kimono looks cute on you too. It really brings out the color of your eyes."

' Two comments at once! Ha!' He said to Ryu.

' Bleargh,' Was the reply.

Maddy looked away and also blushed, " Aww, gee, thanks. You know, I just wore the make up as an experiment..."

" Really?"

She nodded, " Mm-hm. I wanted to see whether guys liked women with more make up or not. Apparently, that stuff only works well for some women, for me it made me look older, right?"

" Oh yeah. Deffinently. When we first met back in WWW, I honestly though you were 30 or something."

Maddy looked shocked, " Really?! Man, I'm gald I'm stopping now! Only 24, and that stuff made me look 5 years older..."

WackoMan tilted his head to one side as he watched from his PET, " Hey! Now that you mention it, you're right..."

Match put an arm around Maddy's shoulders, " Now, how 'bout we go and get breakfast?"

" Sure Kenichi-kun," Maddy replied. They both left the room and walked down the hallway.

" And how did my guests enjoyed their breakfast?" ShogunGekomon asked one of the Flora sisters.

" I am pleased to report that they enjoyed it to the fullest, my lord!" The Floramon replied and bowed.

" Very good! You may rise, Florai," The lord of the city replied.

" By the by, your lordship," Florai said in a slightly nervous tone, " I have a fighting request from one of your generals."

" Hm? Which one?"

" General Zankato, the Zanbamon. He overheard at breakfast that one of the guests, the Guardian to be exact, is also a decendent of a samurai clan in the Human World. The general wishes to see how well his swordfighting skills are, so he asked for a fighting request. Is that alright, Lord ShogunGekomon?"

ShogunGekomon thought for a moment, then replied, " Very well. Tell General Zankato that I aprove of his request, but have Sara hiding somewhere near to make sure he doesn't take it too far. Understand?"

" Understood!" Florai bowed again, then left the lord's room.

I congradulate myself for getting 2,000 views for this fan fic. Sure, it's not the same as getting 2,000 replies, but it's still sort of an achievment, right? :]

~CHAPTER 36~

" Nayaoo," Impmon moaned as he sat underneath a bridge in Kashabuku City. Janga was sitting next to him, and both were covered in bee stings.

" Stupid... nngh... virus," Janga muttered as he put bandages on his stings.

Impmon looked at the book of bandages. On it was a sticker with a smilie face on a light blue background. In big orange letters it read ' Kyoto Klawmon's HAPPY BAN AIDS!'. In smaller, light green letters below it were the words 'Guarateed to heal not only cuts, but also bruises and insect bites!'

" Y'know, they usually have a pic of the Mon who makes stuff like this," Impmon said aloud, " Like that Miracle Cream stuff we saw earlier."

" What IS a Klawmon anyway?" Janga asked as he put a bandage on the last of his bee stings, " I haven't heard of a Digimon like that before."

" I've never heard of one either," Impmon replied, " Well, I have heard a rumor that they're some new fox-like Digimon but besides that, nothin' else."

" Fox-like? You mean like a Renamon or something?" Janga handed the box of bandages to his Digimon 'friend'.

" I think," Impmon took some bandages from the box and started putting them on his stings, " I've only heard a rumor once, back when we were workin' fer Trigoya. The guy I heard it from said that most of 'em have purple fur, some darker or lighter shades than others, and like their names say, they're suppose to have huge claws that they use for attacks."

A familiar voice above them on the bridge said, " So, yer dad's a fashion designer and he made that kimono fer ya? Looks pretteh good on ya! He did a great job."

" Thanks Haly," replied another familiar voice. Janga stood up and ran out from underneath the bridge so he could see who it was.

He came running back hissing, " The Diva! It's the Diva! Now's our chance!"

" More like YOUR chance," Impmon replied, still putting bandages on his bee stings, " I'm not done yet with this."

" Bah, fine!" Janga ran out from under the bridge again, but this time he climbed up the banks of the dried river and into some bushes.

Haly K's Comment: Note that I made up Klawmon, so it's my creation! >XP

" Aww, c'mon!! There's gotta be somewhere around here where I can fight!" Galomon whined as he was being carried in one of Maddy's shopping bags down the street, " Somewhere! Anywhere! I wanna fiiiiight!"

" Calm down, ya big babeh," Haly replied as she poked Galomon with her hammer, " It's not like ya'll find anyone ta fight right away anyways."

Galomon glared at Haly, " What dayya mean?!"

Haly smirked, " Well, it ain't like anyone would wanna waste their time fightin' a pipsqueak like ya."

" I'm not that small!!"

Match replied, " Well, she has a point there. I mean, no one's gonna take someone as small as you seriously."

" Beside, most of the Digimon around he would turn Mr. Fishy here into sushi in a nanosecond," TorchMan added.

Galomon flopped around in the bag in a rage, " Yer all against me...!!"

" He must not like sushi," WackoMan said, and laughed a little.

Maddy glared down at the Digimon in her bag, " Stop that, or else you flop for the rest of the day!"

Stopping his flopping, Galomon slid down to the bottom of the bag. He moaned, " Fiiiiiight..."

Maddy giggled, " Don't worry, I'm sure we'll find someone around here who wants to fight you."

Galomon looked up at the Diva, " Can we look after this shopping?"

" After lunch which is after this."

" Okaaay..."

" How much stuff are ya planin' on buyin' anyway?" Haly asked while walking backwards.

" Well, I'm bring back souviners for Lan and his friends--"

" All of them?" Match asked.

Maddy smiled, " Sure! I promised Maylu that I would."

" Annnd I'm guessing this 'Maylu' and 'Lan' is one of yer friends in da Human World?" Haly asked. Maddy and Matched nodded in reply.

Maddy looked through one of her shopping bags, " A pink bunny plushy for Maylu, some battle chips for Lan, and some Dream World strawberry milk for Yai..."

" Ov da Lon Lon Milk brand, made by Malon and Talon ov Hyrule. The most famous and delicious milk in all ov da Dream World!" Haly stated with a smile, " Seriously thou, Lon Lon Milk is goood! So creamy and sweet!"

" Stop! You're making me want to try it!" WackoMan said.

" I'm sure that they have a cyber version fer Navis," Haly replied, " After all, they had cyber food on da train, remember?"

Maddy sighed, " But still, I don't know what to get Tory, Dex, and Chisao..."

Match answered, " I don't know about Chisao, but you could get Tory an ice battle chip and Dex a cook book," He chuckled and continued, " The lad really needs one. It might help him cook curry better."

" I already got one for Yahoot, remember?" Maddy held up the bag Galomon was in.

" Come one, come all, ribbit!" A vendor from a nearby stand said. The vendor was a Gekomon, a frog-like Digimon with what looked like a small tuba around his neck, " Great battle chips imported straight from the Human World! Get the best ones right here folks! Ribbit!"

" I'll find something for Chisao sooner or later," Maddy said as she walked toward the Gekomon's stand.

" Okaaay, so you guys import stuff from the Human World to here?" WackoMan asked.

Haly nodded as she followed Maddy, " E-yup. Ya know how Beelzemon transfomed inta a human disguise ta kidnap Maddy?"

" Yeah... Hey! How did you know--"

" Heard it from Klonoa. Anyways, fer some odd reason, when a Dream Worlder that ain' human goes inta da Human World, they gain da ability ta transform inta a human. So, they work fer companies ovar there, and they export some ov da products back ta da Dream World, like Battle Chips, PETs, clothes, food, etc. while their bosses think they're actually sending it ta another county in their world. Ov course, the money that's due ta da company gets paid."

" Wait, so some humans back home might actually be from the Dream World?!"

" E-yup."

" Alright... I have another question."

" Ask away."

" Why do you talk kinda funny?"

Haly shrugged, " Eh, Kalonian's meh first language. I ain't that good at Electopian and other human languages.

Janga peered out from behind the bushes. Maddy was talking with the Battle Chip vendor about his wares. Janga thought, ' There you are... Huh, it might be a bit hard to catch you myself, but--" He stopped when he noticed a Floramon approach Maddy after she had bought some battle chips. They spoke for a bit, they Maddy followed the Floramon, along with Match and the others. Janga whispered to himself, " Now, where are you going little Diva?"

The Floramon led Maddy and the others to a plaza nearby. Standing in the center was some kind of Digimon; it looked like an undead horse with a man on its back, except the 'man' was connected to the horse at the bottom of his torso. The man wore golden samurai armor, and the horse wore similar armor. The man also wore a long red cape and held a zanbato ( A long, broad sword.) in one hand and a regular katana in the other. " Here he is," Florara the Floramon announced, gesturing to the Digimon behind her, " General Zankato."

" A Zanbamon, a Mega-level Digimon," Haly muttered.

" Gah, when I said I wanted to fight someone, I didn't mean someone who could annihilate me!!" Galomon whispered in fear. He hid in the bottom of the bag he was carried in.

The man on the horse, Zankato, replied in a stern voice, " I haven't called you here to fight that pipsqueak of a Mon."

Galomon peeked out of the top of the bag and hissed, " I'm not a pipsqueak!"

The general smirked, " Says you. Anyways, onto my reason of speaking with you today. You see, I have sent a request to Lord ShogunGekomon to fight one of you, of which has been approved by said lord. Now, I wish to fight," He pointed his zanbato at Match, " The Guardian, of whom I have heard is also of a famous samurai clan in the Human World."

Maddy looked at Match in a worried way, " Famous?"

Match looked away, " Uh, yeah, my clan... it also fought for Electopia, back then known as Japan, when it was attack by outsiders..."

" As did many of the other clans did at that time. So, Guardian, do you accept my challenge? Know this first, we will only use katanas, the samurai's blade, and we will not use and of our special abilities. I will not use any of my special attacks, and you will not use any of your powers. Understood?"

Maddy kept looking at Match. She whispered, " Kenichi-kun...?"

Match looked up at Zankato and smirked, " What? Are you kidding me? Of course I understand! Be more than happy to fight you!"

Zankato raise an eyebrow, " Hm, you do realise the risks of this battle, ever without the use of my attacks?"

Match nodded, " Of course. Trust me, I still do a little sparing like this in Den Tech. Unless you're scared of losing to a real samurai."

The general glared at the guardian before him, " Fine! We fight later today, after lunch. Better watch yourself human, you don't know what you're dealing with," And with that, Zankato turned and left the plaza.

" Um, excuse me, Guardian, are you sure of this?" Florara asked when the Zanbamon left, " General Zankato is the best sword fighter of all of Lord ShogunGekomon's army. Are you really sure you're willing to go through with this?"

Match kept staring in the direction Zankato had left the plaza, " Don't worry. I'm certain."

~CHAPTER 37~

Everyone was now sitting around a picnic table, eating their lunch. All except for Haly and Galomon, for some reason. He looked at his lunch box, which was filled with sushi rolls and riceballs. Haly had already eaten her sushi, but she was staring at the riceballs.

" It's rude to stare at your food, you know!" WackoMan said while eating a cyber riceball.

" I've neva had riceballs before," Haly replied, still staring.

" If I eat the sushi, won't I be eating my own kind?" Galomon asked.

" First off," Match replied, already finish with his lunch, " You're a Digimon. I doubt they make sushi out of Digimon. Second, you're a shark, this shouldn't be new to you!"

Galomon looked off to the side, " Yeah, well, I'm only part shark. I have the tail of a dolphin, see?" He flapped his tail.

" Dolphins eat fish too."

" They do?!"

" Yeah, tuna and stuff, right?"

" E-yup," Haly replied while nodding.

Galomon looked at Haly, then at Match, then at the ground, " I prefer to eat fish that still looks like fish."

" It's da same thing, only with seaweed an' rice added," Haly pointed out.

Match looked at Haly, " As for you, riceballs are pretty good. If you don't like 'em, I'll eat 'em for you."

Haly picked up one of the riceballs from her lunch box and took a bite out of it. As she chewed, she smiled. She swallowed what was in her mouth and said, " Wow, they are good!" Then she began to finish the rest.

Match smiled too, " I told you," He looked at Maddy sitting next to him, who didn't even touch her lunch yet, " Maddy? Are you okay?"

" I'm fine," Maddy muttered in response, " I'm just not hungry..."

"... Wait, you're thinking about the fight I'm going to have with that Zanbamon later, aren't you?" Match put an arm around the Diva, " Look, I'll be fine! Remember when I invited you to one of my sword battles back in Den Tech? You saw how good I was!"

Maddy sighed, " Now you're again somone who's almost twice your height, someone who isn't even human," Match was about to reply to that when she continued, " Besides, that was back when you didn't tell me you were from a samurai clan..."

Match looked worried, " C'mon, you aren't angry about that, are you?"

Maddy shooked her head, " No, but I'm worried about you..."

" Ain't nothin' ta worry abut," Haly said, finishing off the last of her riceballs, " If he's as good as he seiz, then ya don't need ta be worrin', ya should get ready ta cheer 'im on when he goes ta fight that general!"

Match nodded, " Exactly! I'll be fine, but if he cheats and uses a special attack, then I'll use my powers, okay?"

Maddy though for a moment, then smiled, " Okay, but you better be careful," Then she finally started to eat her lunch.

Waiting to board the next cruise for Kashabuku City, Anemon and Zweegle stood in line patiently.

" I hope the Diva with ssstill be in the city when we get there," Zweegle commented.

" She will be," Anemon replied, " If not, then we'll be able to catch the hoverplane to Sol City, so we'll be there before her."

Suddenly, something in Anemon's pocket glowed. She took it out, and it turned out to be the lapis lazuli they used to contact their master.

Their master spoke through the jewel, " Switch over to the hoverplane on Yoshi Island that will take you to Sol City."

" What?! Why?" Anemon asked.

Another voice replied, but it wasn't their master or Jorrei, " My other sisters will be there. They will remind the Guardian and Diva of what they must do."

Zweegle whined, " But we wanna get at the Diva!!"

" Always expect an unexpected change of plans," The other voice replied.

" Um... Wasss that an oxymoron?" The vampire asked.

" You have your orders. Do as you are told," Their master replied in a strict tone this time. Then the jewel stopped glowing.

" Thisss isss not fair!! Sssss," Zweegle hissed.

Anemon put the jewel away. She replied, " We have our orders," and dragged Zweegle out of the line.

" Here is where you'll be fighting," Florai said as she lead the group of guest into a room with a raise platform in the center. It was like a boxing ring, except it didn't have the poles at the corners and the ropes. On the three walls of the room were giant paper sliding doors which lead out to the gardens surrounding the palace. The was already a crowd in the room, and everyone was waiting on General Zankato to show up.

Match looked around the room. He said, " This'll be nice," as he walked towards the platform.

The last of the Flora Sisters, Florika, was waiting near the platform. She held a katana in one flower/hand, which she held up to Match, " This is yours to use in this fight."

" Thank you," He replied while taking the sword.

The crowd was starting to complain, " C'mon! Where's the general?!" " General Zankato! The Guardian is here!" " I don't wanna wait any longer!!" " WHERE ARE YOU?!?"

Match smirked and said, " Did he chicken out after all?"

" I highly doubt that," Florai replied. Florara came into the room and joined her sisters.

" Yes," Florika agreed, " He enjoys any and all challenges. He never backs down."

" But he never loses, either," Florara pointed out.

" Don't worry," Match said as he climbed onto the platform, " I'll make this as quick as possible, and with little to no bloodshed."

" Kenichi!!" Maddy cried out.

Match laughed, " Calm down, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. No blood at all. I promise."

" You may promise that, but I can't say the same for myself," A voice from somewhere said. Then, one of the sliding doors opened, and the Zanbamon rode into the room. The crowd parted so he could get to the platform, and both opponents stood on opposite sides. Four Gekomon came onto the platform as well, and Zankato gave them him zanbato.

" As I have just promised, no bloodshed. Got it?" Match said in a serious tone.

The general smirked and nodded, " Alright. No blood it is then."

' You actually think he'll keep to his word?' Ryu asked.

' If he has any honor in his blood, then he will,' Match replied.

" Then it's settled!" Florai said above the crowd to quiet them down.

" The rules of this battle will be," Florika began.

Florara finished, " Only katanas, no outside help, no powers, and no blood! Begin!"

' No outside help was an ovbious one that needn't be said,' Match thought.

' Uh, Ken,' Ryu said as Zanakto charged at Match.

' I know,' Match replied as he stepped off to the side to dodged Zankato, whom ended up falling off the platform. The crowd dodged the falling Digimon as well, so the general hit the floor.

The Zanbamon made it back into the battlefield by leaping back onto it. He growl, " Ha ha, very funny Guardian."

Match smirked, " Why thank you. I didn't want our little crowd here to get bored, considering the fact that I would've taken you out quite quickly," The crowd laughed in response.

Zankato gritted his teeth, irritated by his opponent, " Never underestimate those you fight!" He charged again with his sword held high.

This time, Match blocked the slice with his own katana. He replied, " I know, and I think I've estimated your strength pretty well," The crowd laughed again.

Stepping back a bit, Zankato slashed again, but again, it was blocked by Match. Then, Match took his turn, but this time Zankato was the one to block. This continued for a few seconds, and then they both stood a few yards apart.

" Finish this quickly, finish this quickly," Maddy whispered over and over again.

" This would be da climax now, right?" Haly asked.

" Sure looks like it!" Galomon replied.

" We finish this NOW!" Zankato yelled as he charged and slashed at Match. Yet again the strike was blocked, but, as soon as Zankato started to move away, Match rolled towards him and had the tip of his katana almost an inch from Zankato's undead horse's throat. The horse looked shocked, and neighed nervously.

" What?!" The general cried out in shock.

" You're connected to this horse, right?" Match asked, " If so, you probably don't want anything bad to happen to it, do you?"

The horse neighed again, but more loudly this time. Zankato gritted his teeth while looking over the situation.

" Well? Do you surrender?" Match asked.

Zankato kept gritting his teeth for a few more seconds, until he finally sighed and said, " Yes... I surrender."

The crowd cheered, and the Flora Sisters said in union, " General Zankato surrenders! The Guardian of Fire wins!"

" Oh thank goodness," Maddy sighed with relief. Haly, WackoMan, and Galomon were cheering with the crowd.

Match backed off as Zankato did the same. Match smiled and said, " Hey, at least you did your best, right?"

The Zanbamon had a grimace on his face, but it slowly turned into a devilish smile. He roared, " You truly think this is over so easily?!" He grabbed his zanbato from the Gekomon in the audience and charged at Match again, this time yelling, " Hunting Knife!!" as his zanbato glowed brightly. The crowd looked on in silence as Match closed his eyes. He was about to either block or dodge, when he heard the sound of metal hitting metal. He opened his eyes and saw that Zankato's blade was blocked by a golden staff with a fox's head with a circle around it. The one holding the staff was a woman wear golden armor and a gold fox mask. She also wore purple gloves and boots, and had long white hair that was tied into two ponytails.

" General Zankato," The woman said, " You should be ashamed of yourself," She pushed his zanbato away with her staff, which caused the general to stumble backwards in shock.

" Woah, a Sakuyamon!" Haly said in amazement.

" Another Mega-level," Galomon muttered.

" S-Sara?!" Zankato stuttered, " H-how...? W-why?!"

" I was sent here since it was suspected that you would cheat like this," Sara replied. Then she pointed her staff at the Zanbamon and said more loudly, so everyone in the room could hear, " As the court wizard of Kashabuku City, I, Sara, command you to report to Lord ShogunGekomon's throne room. Immediately!"

Zanakto stumbled off the platform and ran out of the room. Everyone else left. Sara turned to Match and bowed, " I hope you can forgive the general for what he did, even thought he broke a vow."

Match rubbed the back of his head and replied, " Um, that's alright. Really!" After he said that, Sara disappeared.

" Kenichi-kuuuun!!" Maddy cried as she tackle Match to the ground and hugged him tightly, " I was so worried about you just then!! I'm so gald that you're alright!!"

" Gah, Madori-chan!" Match replied, " Will you get off of me?! I can understand that you were worried, but you're hugging me too tightly!!" Maddy didn't let go, and even started to sob slightly, " Oh come ON!"

" Hooray for Mr. Match! Hip hip hooray!" Haly, WackoMan, and Galomon cheered from off the platform.

' Man, I thought you were gonna get sliced for sure!' Ryu said in relief.

" Could you help me out and get her off of me?!" Match replied in an angry tone to all four of them.

Last week's update was not to be due to my cousin's birthday party of the other side of the state. Today, school was canceled due to Ernesto, so I can update today! :]

Don't worry, so far there's no damages that I've heard of yet. Alas, though: This weekend, I shall be going to Epcot and the Kennedy Space Center for my birthday. BTW, my birthday is september 5th. Happy early birthday to me.

~CHAPTER 38~

" This is insane!" Impmon cried out. He and Janga had climb up a tree near the palace to get a view of Match's recent fight, " How... did he...? I mean, he's a human! How could he--"

" Half-human, half-Guardian," Janga corrected.

" Same thing! How'd he beat that Zanbamon so easily?! Either he got of reaaaally lucky, or that general wasn't as good as they said he was!!"

Janga thought for a moment, " Or..." but then he trailed off.

" Oooor?" Impmon echoed.

" Well, maybe he isn't an... 'actually' halfling..."

" Whaaat?! Are you crazy?! If he isn't half-human, then what is his other half!?!"

Janga sighed, " Well... he got the Guardian blood from one of his parents, who was also a half-blood, according to Dream World genetics, right?"

" Riiiight..."

" The only way he'd be a pure blooded Dream Worlder is if both of his parents were half-bloods, also according to our genetics, right?"

" I don't see where this is goin' exactly..."

Janga glared at the Digimon, " Didn't you see what he did in that battle?! Mega-level Digimon are at least twice, maybe even three times the strength of a normal human! Even as a half-blood, the Guardian shouldn't have been able to block Zankato's attack so easily, since if he really was a half-blood then he should've gotten at least a tad bit tired after three or so blocks!!"

" So, you think he might be a pure blooded Dream World since he didn't get really tired?"

" Exactly! Either that, or Zankato was weaker than they say. It couldn't have been that Match is stronger that a normal human, since humans can't get strong enough to fight off a Digimon like that, unless they use that Cross Fusion stuff that they have now. Therefore, he has to be a pure blood!"

" Hold on, I remember readin' that the bloodline of the Divas is the only exception to the half-blood rules; Even if a Diva has a child with a human, the child that's gonna be the next Diva will always, always be a pure-blood Dream World, right?"

" Yes, so it's ovbious that--"

Impmon finished, " If he is a pure-blood, then he's half-Guardian and half-somethin' else from the Dream World... but what?"

Janga shrugged, " Beats the heck outta me. Maybe if we spy on them for a while, we'll gets some clues."

" Why spyin'?"

Janga hit Impmon in the back of his head, " Because we need to find out where they're going next anyway!!"

" Nayuu," A young female voice moaned from somewhere below in the courtyard, " Nishi rayo dou?"

Janga and Impmon kept quiet. Another voice, male this time, replied, " Nu shoei. Ranba da ludo aishi katao."

Down in the courtyard, two figures in cloaks were talking. They were both about Haly's size. One of them, probably the female, looked up at the tree and said, " Yu tori ashaka ohmini!"

The other one, the male, turned to the other and replied in an angry tone, " Nashi hitoro anaki shunoeh jo! Vi atako uhire zet Guardio en Divahi!" He walked away from the tree and towards the palace. The female looked up at the tree one last time, then followed the other.

" What kind of laguage was that?!" Impmon asked as he climbed down the tree. The cloaked figures had entered the palace.

" That was Kalonian," Janga answered as he too climbed down, " but they had a strange accent when they spoke..."

Impmon looked up, " Accent?"

Janga nodded as he jumped to the ground on his feet, " I didn't catch much of what they said because of it."

" But... doesn't 'Guardio' and 'Divahi' sound like--"

" The Guardian and the Diva!!" Janga finished, " C'mon!! How many people are after them?!"

" A lot, apparently," Impmon counted off his fingers, " There's us, Anemon and Zweegle, I heard Joka went after 'em too, and then there's these new guys... Uh, wait, I only have 6 fingers, and that's 7 stalkers--"

" Nevermind!!" Janga dragged Impmon away by the wrist.

Haly and Galomon were walking through the corridors of the palace. They had finished their dinner before the others, so they left to take a look around.

" Kayuu," Haly said in amazement, " This place sure is big, eh?"

" Do you think one of the servants around he would mind fightin' me?" Galomon asked as he flopped by Haly's side.

Haly rolled her eyes, " Aw c'mon! Issat all ya can think about? Fightin' 'n stuff?"

" Gotta fight fight fight to digi-digivolve!"

Sticking out her tounge at Galomon, Haly replied, " Who seiz yer gonna digivolve so quickly?!"

Suddenly, they heard a crash up ahead. Both of them hid behind a nearby statue, and peeked out to see who was there. Someone had knocked over a vase with a tall fern in it. The someone was on the floor. She wore a black cloak, and the hood of it was down, showing her bright pink, braided hair. Two dark red, cat-like ears poked up from her head. She looked at another cloaked figure next to her and said, " Kaiya shoto! Amuri shaka tayu reshato?"

The other figure, probably glaring at his companion, replied, " Flurri! Shi koto amada raidi yueki!"

Galomon looked on with a confused expression. He asked quietly, " Haly, do you know what their sayin'?"

Haly nodded, " Yeah, they're speakin' Kalonian, but they have a bit ov an accent, so it's kinda hard ta know what they're sayin'..."

The female cat got up and put her hood back on. She said in a way that sounded like apologizing, " Rushi ko."

The other figured replied, " Yashike. Rupuludu! Vi atako uhire zet Guardio en Divahi!" He walked on, quickly but quietly. The female did the same.

Galomon looked up at Haly, " Did you manage to get a rought translation?"

Haly looked up and thought for a moment, then replied, " Well, apparently that cat gurl is named Flurri, and they're lookin' fer Match 'n Maddy."

" Th-They are?! Not again!"

Haly ran off in the direction the twins went. She stopped and looked back, " C'mon! Maybeh we can find out if they're friend or foe!" She ran off again, with Galomon trying to catch up.

" Pardon us," Said a red haired girl in a black cape. She was at the front entrance to the palace, talking to the guards there. Besides he was a pale blonde haired woman with dark lens covering her eyes to look like an insect's eyes. She also wore a white fur coat and had what looked like furry antennae coming out of her head. The red haired girl continued, " We're he to..."

" Delivar a messhage to de Guardian and Deva," The woman finished in some sort of accent. It sounded French.

The Musyamon guarding the gate looked at each other. One of them turned to the 'messangers' and replied, " Sorry, no one is allowed into the palace unless given permission by Lord ShogunGekomon."

The red haired girl glared at the guards. She was about to pulled out her arm from underneath the cloak when the woman next to her pulled a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. The woman smiled at the guards and said, " Ah, vell dat's alright. Purrhaps one ov you or maybeh someone elshe can delivar de messhage for ush?"

The other guard replied, " Well, I guess that way would be alright," He looked at the guard who replied before.

Sighing, the first guard said, " Alright. It would be ok if one of the servants did it."

The woman clapped her hands in joy, " Excellent! Tank you very much dalinks!" She took out a folded piece of paper and handed it to one of the guards. Then she turned and led the girl away, calling back, " Vonce again, tank you!"

As soon as they were out of earshot, the girl muttered bitterly, " I would have loved to feed those two to one of my earth Undeads."

Glaring at the girl beside her, the woman replied, " You know vat Dainn seid; ve only need to remind the Guardian and Deva of vat dey must do."

The cloaked twins stood outside Maddy's room. They listened to the conversation inside while Haly and Galomon hid behind a Charizard statue.

" What? You think I shouldn't have won?" Match asked inside the room.

" No... no, it's not that," Maddy replied, " It's just... just--"

" Just what?"

Maddy sighed, " Well, after the whole 'Trigoya plot to get the Star Pendant', I looked through the book on the Dream World that my mom had left me when we came back... One of them talked about Dream World genetics..."

" What does tha--"

" Let me finish. You see... Mega-level Digimon are about twice, some may even be three times as strong as a normal human adult."

" And I ain't normal. I'm pretty much a half-blood, remember?"

" I know, but even as a half-blood, you should've gotten at least a little bit tried after blocking a couple of blows..."

" Wait wait. Really?"

" Yeah. Florara and some of the others here pointed that out after the battle. I even found Sara again, and she said the same thing."

" I'm guessing now is where that book of Dream World genetics comes in?"

" Yeah... the only way you could've been strong enough to beat Zankato is if you're a pure blood Dream Worlder, and the only way that could happen is if both of your parents were half-bloods."

" So... It's possible that I'm half-Guardian and half-something else?"

" Either that, or Zankato was weaker than they say. I doubt that, since he's one of Lord ShogunGekomon's top generals."

This time, WackoMan said, " Hey... do you think the other half might have something to do with the samurai clan Match is from?"

Match replied, " You know, that might be a good start..."

" Tishi shoji?" The cloaked female asked quietly.

" Tishi shoji," The male replied, then they both kicked the door open.

~CHAPTER 39~

( Setting is an office room with a lot of papers and ideas floating around. Yeah, I know that's not very descriptive, but this scene doesn't need alot. )

Lan: Man, how long has it been since you last updated?

Haly K: *grabs an idea out of the air* What are you, my secretary?

Lan: Look, just answer the question.

Haly K: *looks over a couple of papers* 'Bout a month.

Lan: ... A month? A MONTH?! Jeez, you got a lotta catching up to do!! What kept you so long?

Haly K: *grabs another idea and checks it* Well, being stuck in my brother's new 'apartment' while my parents fix up his bathroom for two straight weekends doesn't help the writer's mind, does it? Plus I took a weekend off from writing after that.

Lan: Say, since this is in script format and all, does that mean you're gonna do another character interview?

Haly K: Maybe.

Lan: Maybe? Why?

Haly K: Look, my head's still half asleep right now. Maybe in a few more chapters after we get most of our readers back.

Lan: ... You had readers?

Haly K: *throws an idea at Lan and it intangles him, ala Harry Potter style* Let's just get on with the chapter.

So, Beelzemon and Janga might attack, there's also your sisters, and now we have two new players to the field. Counting the Diva and her friends, this is a four way battle.

Come now, you're giving Beelzemon and Janga too much credit. I wonder who the two new guys are, however.

Tell me, who cares? I just want to see if the Diva won't hold back this time.

Why are you so interestead in seeing the Star Pendant's full power?

That's for me to know and for you to shut the hell up and never find out.

Tsk. No need to get so touchy, Miss Original Number 13. Or do you prefer being called by your title, 'The Dark Key'? After all, you've forbidden me to speak to you by your real name.

Like I said before, shut the hell up. We watch and see what the Diva does.

" Oh no, ya don't!" Haly tackled one of the cloaked figures after the door swung open.

This one was the cat girl Flurri whos hood was pulled down by Haly. She turned and screeched, " Vile demon! Begone!" and blasted Haly with a gust of wind. Haly, however, simple disappeared. Flurri got up, " Neh?!"

" Substitution spell. It comes in handy, neh?" Haly said with a smirk. She reappeared in front of the two intruders.

The other cloaked one now something odd: As soon as they had entered the room, Maddy and Match were gone. He said, " Wait... the Diva and Guardian... where did they go?!"

Galomon leaped into the room and tore the boy's cloak off. The boy, who looked like a dog from a Sonic game, had navy blue fur but pale blue hair on his head. He wore winged, purple shoes and a dark purple vest with a yellow swirly symbol on it. He darted to the glass sliding door ahead, yanked it open, and ran into the garden. Flurri, Haly, and Galomon followed.

Flurri took off her own cloak, showing that she was wearing a dark purple dress with the same symbol on it and winged shoes as the other. The little wings on their shoes begn to flap and they both rose into the air. Haly yelled at them, " Enough with da tricks! Who are ya two?!"

The dog boy smirked, " I am Gale, and this is my sister Flurri. We were sent here to... ah, shall we say, ask a favor of the Diva and Guardian?"

" Don't even think about it!" Maddy said from below, with Match at her side, " You're working for the Organization member, aren't you?!"

Flurri glared at the two with her violet eyes, " And where were you two?"

Maddy held the Star Pendant to her neck, and it transformed back into a necklace, " Invisiblity is just one of the Star Pendant's tricks."

" So, are ya workin' fer da Organization member that's after Maddy, or someone else?" Haly asked.

" Someone else entirely," Gale answered, narrowing his indigo eyes, " I believe the King of Sorrow sensed our... 'master's' presense before, but you all had already left his kingdom by then."

Maddy looked nervous at this, but Haly just swung her hammer and replied, " Oh realleh?! Well, same master or not, don't think that I'm gonna let ya get ta Maddy 'n Match so easily!!"

" Yeah!" Galomon agreed, flopping up and down.

Flurri held an orb of wind in one hand and a sword of wind in the other, " In that case, we'll just take you two down!!..... Wait, the Diva and Guardian are gone again!"

Haly looked back and saw she was right, but then looked up at the two again and smirked, " Ov course they're gone! What, ya thought they'd be dumb enough ta stick around?"

Gale made a staff of wind appear in one hand, " To tell the truth, we weren't expecting this to be easy."

Maddy and Match managed to sneak away to the front of the palace while Gale and Flurri began their battle with Haly and Galomon. The Diva looked in the direction that they came from. She looked worried as the noise of blasts of wind, spells, and Galomon reached her. She sighed, " Alright, that makes 3 groups that are after me, and this new one is after both of us," She looked at Match.

He shrugged, " Hey, being special has its good and bad points."

Maddy held the green starred jewel of her necklace and whispered, " Kos, can you hear me?"

The jewel glowed and floated in the air. Kos' voice came out of it, " Maddy? Is something wrong?"

" Um... have you ever heard of two people named Gale and Flurri?"

" No, why do you ask?"

Match replied this time, " They're another group that's after us. They said that you sort of felt their master nearby after we left you."

Kos didn't reply right away, but when he did, his voice was shakey and nervous, " Wait, they...? Oh no..."

Maddy looked worried, " Oh no what?"

Kos gulped and continued, " Their master... his name is Soruge. I heard a legend about him... that he was seal in the Void when the worlds were created. The two great spirit did that. H-he... he's very powerful. He's known as the Devil of Fear an-and... th-they say that he's the source of all darkness... of all evil..."

" Source of all evil," Maddy repeated quietly.

" Your little friend," Match said, " whos lackeys are Anemon and Zweegle, wants us to help her, but I'm guessing if this Soruge guy gets us, it'll only be for something bad, right?"

" Yes!!" Kos replied quickly, " Trust me, An-- I mean, the Organization member--"

" You know her name?"

Kos gulped nervously again, and paused before continuing, " I do, but she wants to tell you her name, and not have others saying it. Anyways, she... she only wants you to get her out of the void. She's not evil like the other Organization XIII members. She's... sort of like an Alude."

Confused, Match asked, " A what?"

" 'One who wields darkness on the side of light'," Maddy explained herself, " An Alude is basically someone who was once evil who's now good."

" Y-Yeah," Kos agreed, " Anyway, the point is that you've got to make sure to stay away from Soruge, okay?"

Match smirked, " Simple enough."

The jewel then lost its glow and hung from the necklace once more. Suddenly a voice called out from somewhere," Hey! Diva! Guardian! I have a message for you two!"

The duo turned to the source, which was Florika, who was running towards them with a folded piece of paper in one hand/flower. She stopped in front them and held out the letter, " Two girls came by earlier and dropped off this letter. They said it's a message for you two."

Maddy took the paper and watched Florika leave. She then open the paper, but was confused by the writing of it, " Eh? This doesn't look like Electopian... or Japanese... or even English for that matter!"

" It's written in Scottish Gaelic," Match stated, looking over Maddy's shoulder at the paper.

" ... Eh?"

" Just gimme that!" He grabbed the paper from Maddy and read the lines in his head.

" Why would... whoever wrote this write in Gale Ick?"

" Gaelic," Match corrected, " Anyways, it says:

" Dear Guardian and Diva,

I am a friend of the little Organization member who's after you. Like her, I was sealed in the Void for being a... how to say? Traitor? Yes, traitor will do. Anyway, this message is to remind you of you helping both us out of this prison, in case you should forget what Kos told you, or you refused to help us. I expect the Diva to especially remember this promise, otherwise the grump here will..."

Maddy asked nervously, " Will what?"

" Er... there's a ink blot right after that. Apparently, 'the grump' banged him over the head while writing it. There's more after that, though:

" As I was saying, the Organization member here will hunt you down with her minions until you agree. She is the worst of stalkers... Okay, there's another ink blot here..."

Maddy replied, " Whoever wrote this probably didn't consider any bangings."

" Then it's signed 'Sincerely, Black Dainn' and there's a P.S. after that."

" Black Dainn? He's from the Boktai games... What does the P.S. say?"

Match read aloud the last part, " P.S. We both aren't quite sure if you two are strong enough to help us--"

" But, even thu yu ave defeated my sister, Blue Dvalinn, I ave sent meh too oder sisters, Red Durathror and White Duneyrr, to test yur strength as vell," An accented voice said from behind them.

I, as the author of this fan fic, have decided to no longer continue writing chapters for this fic. Meaning I am discontinuing this fic/cancelling it/etc.

Now reasons for doing so for my *cough* "small" *cough* audience:

Earlier today, I was think about the direction of my fic and its sequels. ( I have 'bout 4 1/2 fics plotted out that take place after this one.) I thought, "... This doesn't seem fair for my *hack cough* few *wheeze* readers. I mean, sure, the Three Worlds ( Human, Cyber, and Dream.) are a good idea, and so are the Pendants and Ten Elements, but... most of these plots would need my reader(s) to know about other games. Sure, Zelda and Digimon are easy ones, but Klonoa is basically the main game above them for most of my Dream World related plots, and barely anyone's played it!" So, I have decided to stop while I'm ahead, and go back and revise my plots and fics.

Now, I will warn you ahead of time right here and now that some concepts I have right now, like the Diva/Three Worlds/Ten Elements/etc., will/might still be in my revised future fan fics. The only difference is that they certainly won't be as much of a main part of the plot as they are now. And by 'main part' I mean ' OMG! U must no this or else teh plot will b sooo boring n confuzzing!!!'. So I'll make it more simpler for those who do not play a very diversed selection of games. I'll probably go back and edit Maddy's family history a bit too, while I'm at it. ( Related to a character from a game that barely anyone knows about? No, just... no.)

On a side note, all fan characters that were meant for other series ( Haly, Galomon, and a couple of others.) will still technically 'exsist' but only in their respective series. The only way anyone will be able to see them again is if I write a fan fic for the series they're from. ( Example: Galomon in a Digimon fic.) Then again, I might write something like a mini-arc in a fic that crosses MegaMan with another game, but other than that, they live in their own worlds now. ( Despite the fact that my 'Three Worlds' theroy still exists.)

So... yeah, that's my decision. 'The Star Pendant' and all other fan fics relating to it no longer exsist in my mind. Next time you see me post the first new fan fic, I'll be starting off in a new way. Hopefully, it will be far better than the first time around. Honestly, even though the whole 'combine different games into one game/fan fic/etc.' sounds good at first, the only way it'll actually work out great is if it's in a fighting game ala Super Smash Bros. in which it has no plotlines to be mixed up and confused with. -_-;

Anyways, mods and admins, if you feel it nessecary to lock this topic, then be my guest. Anyone who would like to talk to me a bit on this, or just say how you think my fics turned out, please PM me.
