What a bland title, I know. But I couldn't think of anything that people would still understand as being associated with DMC 3. So....eh.
Anyway! After being penniless for months on end, I finally had the spare cash to pick up the special edition of Devil May Cry 3, and all I have to say is...wow. I bought it a week ago and haven't played anything else since. And as soon as I'm done here, I'm going back to playing it. Addicting doesn't begin to describe it.
Anybody else had a chance to play this roller-coaster ride in a disc? And also feels like sharing their thoughts on it?
All I have to say on the subject at the moment is that, as an story-based action adventure, I have never seen any other game reach this level of quality. The story itself, usually an aspect of action games that takes a backseat to action, is incredibly well done. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

I enjoyed it myself but not as much as the first. DMC2 for the most part sucked. DMC3 had lots of insane moves, mainly from the cutscenes. It's killing with style. :] Vergil's move set is my favorite even though you can't use the multi helm breaker or that move where he spams orbs like mad. _________________

i got it about a week ago, and i love it. i played the first when it came out (dont really remember much of it tho). in my opinion Trickster is the best ability in the whole game.

Killing with style doesn't begin to describe it. I encountered one particular battle that was pure art. Ok, well, maybe not, but it was pretty cool. I wish I could take credit for what I did, but it was really just circumstances; I just happened to be using Trickster style and just happened to be near a wall while a Damned Pawn was trying to attack me:
Started in a small room in Hell's Highway, using Agni/Rudra, Rebellion and the Trickster style. Was faced with three Damned Pawns.
1. Attacked with an Agni/Rudra combo. I ended the combo facing the wall where two of the Pawns had just been. (they were destroyed by the combo) As the combo finished, the third Pawn moved behind me to attack my exposed back.
2. Hit Circle to dash out of the way; what I ended up doing instead was doing a wall run up the wall I was facing a split second before the Pawn's attack would have connected.
3. My wall run ended with me a few feet above the Pawn, and the run had launched me away from the wall.
4. Switched to Rebellion in mid-air and used a Helm Breaker, slashing the Pawn down its back, destroying it.
You can't imagine how much I wanted to be able to instant replay that 10-second scene and record it. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover
