Disgaea Help

Ok i'm at the battle in Chapter 6 when you fight that alternate overloard. I read in an offical guide (Or on the web) that if you throw one of him in your.... base portal (I forget what it's really called. It's where you summon your charters from) you get to keep him. But every time I try he just destroys it and I can't summon anyone.

So how can I get him??? Do I just keep trying and hope i'm lucky???

P.S. This is my 2nd time going through the game and I can win the battle

You know, when you throw an enemy into the portal, your guys have to go through their MP first, then their HP. You have to be sure your guys in the inside are ready to take on the enemy fully.

I don't know exactly how it works, but I belive that everyone in your HQ battles him, and their power is based on how much MP they have and then if they run out of MP, they fight again and this time base their power on how much HP they have.
Then if they fail that, the base goes boom.
So if you did want to get him, you'd already have to be pretty powerful in the first place.

This makes no sence. I had two of my most powerful charters in there. and I have tons of HP with all of my guys. But yet he keeps destroying my base Pannel. Also I make sure to weaken him to about 200 HP and make sure he's the last one of the feald

I don't think you can capture him, because he's a special type character, like the "Demon Slayer" and "Demon Sire" and "Mid-Boss" and "Tyrant," sure he looks like a Great Wyrm, but his title is Alt. Overlord. He's not that great of a character anyways, there are much stronger versions of the great wrym, plus you can capture a level 5000 Surt in one stage. Also I believe you can only capture enemies in completed stages.

I figure it'd be better to post here than make a new topic. Anyhoo I need help leveling up. Does anyone know any quick ways to do it???

Also I try to capture some angels in Celestia (after i've cleared the map) but it doesn't work. Can you only capture monsters???

Yes only monsters are catchable. In Disgaea theres not much good leveling spots in the game besides The Cave of Ordeals. The only problem is that the cave is fairly hard with people if I remember correctly in their 100's or 200's. The only leveling way I can think of is doing the one mission where Laharl had to kill all the demons to become the overlord. Just do it over and over again. Shouldnt be too hard for you considering I beat the game very underleveled with my highest character being a lv 50.

Wow o.o.... Though i'm trying to get the other endings. Like the overtaking earth ending but the boss there is around level 300. My highest character is Laharal at level 144 and the rest are around level 50-80. I'm just wondering if there's a good way to shoot my levels to around the 300s area ^^;;
