As Plant said in this mirror topic in the main forum, HTML is not the dominant code that this forum runs by. As you can see, it runs by BBCode, like many PHP forums out there. I suggest you look at the options for the code to see if that will provide an adequate substitute for the HTML. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Indeed. There's really not much we can do about that, since it's the forum's coding.
There are help files on the code, and it's quite easy once you look it over. _________________

Actually, the fact that HTML is disabled on this forum's posts and signatures is probably due to security reasons, not because of the board's coding. ^^; _________________

Yeah, we could easily allow HTML if we wanted. But, we don't want to. :P
I believe BBCode is sufficient. If you need help with BBCode, check this out: http://www.kishuku.com/reo/faq.php?mode=bbcode _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

I personally find HTML to be slightly more complicated to learn than BBCode. Oddly enough. (Heh, I learned HTML first though. Then I totally forgot how to do it)
As well, if HTML was the dominant code, we couldn't do this: >.<

HTML is great and allows a lot of freedom; which is half the problem. What do you need to do with HTML that you can't do with BBCode? Anything you want in your signature that can't be done in BBCode would likely be inappropriate anyways; The people who run this board don't want videos, music, or any other crap showing up in someone's signature, and neither do many of the members.
Allowing HTML would also allow for possibly harmful code.
Signatures (and posts) are meant to be simple and easy on bandwidth. _________________
