The battle network series is by far the best series, in my opinion. The Zero series seems kind of pointless. Unfortunately, the series is coming to an end, all great things must come to an end, but why? Was the series losing money, or did Keji Innafunne want the series to become repetitive like the pokemon series, even though pokemon is a fun series to play.

If they keep up the good job they did with the first one then I'll have to say ZX. With X being my second and Zero my 3rd.

I´m between EXE and X, but I will choose X since its more cool and not to child-looking like the EXE (still the EXE ones has more abilities and powers XP)

Well, I've changed. It is now in this order:

ZX
Zero
EXE
Classic
X (well, this is arguable...)

Never played Dash.

Anyway, ZX is...well, I like the fact that you gotta think with your head when using your Bio/Live metals. Seriously, you pick, the wrong one, and it's the death of ya Razz

And the bosses having weak points is so sweet. Makes it a challenge to fight 'em. And they've got the whole plushie and respawn thing going.

I guess I should revise my List

Rockman ZX: This is my favorite now, although it's annoying at times, and a bit to familiar, it's still my favourite. Plus you can play as a girl.

Rockman Zero: Simply because I haven't played this one very much, it still is appealing to me.

Rockman.EXE: This will always be high on my list, not for the games, but simply for the plot. It's not as high, because I don't really enjoy the platform of the game as much as a side scroller.

Rockman DASH: Used to be my favorite... However, seeing as how I can olny find the first one, and the fact it's sort of died, it's not that appealing to me....well, until they make a new one.

Rockman X and Classic: I've played these games, ad nauseum, so I don't really like them that much.

Hmm. This is a toughie. I can't really hate any of them.
I'm guessing my list is more along the lines of:

ZX/EXE/Z
X/M
L
M here means the original.
I'll start from the bottom.

Legends: Well. I didn't like it too much. I mean, it was creative, but it's pretty much saying that perversion occurs when a 2d game goes 3d (Including the game and the protagonist...)
The plot was interesting, but not well utilized. Not expecting FFVII level utilized. It just didn't shine for me. The talking was just weird, too. The game just didn't flow well for me at all.

X: Love it quite a bit. I've only played up to three, but I was pining for 4-6. More in the beginning, the plot was almost not there, but the game stilll flowed, and was very dang challenging. Heck, I'm still stuck on the dang spider in X-1. 2 and three were the same way. 4-6 I've seen played, and it looked great. I look at 7-onward as just weird. It's repetitive then, even though there's three-D. And the remake of X-1 just scares me. It's in three-D, and it's the good 'ol classic, but the voice acting and re-hashed script should BURN! BURN BURN BURN I SAY!

M: Who doesn't love a classic? I must admit I was addicted to Rockman and Forte for quite a while. The whole series was overall goodness. Chibiman blowing things up. And it was frustratingly difficult to start with. That's the intrigue. It was hard. Hard hard. You had to work at it, and once you got the first boss down, the game continued with overall goodness. Loves.

EXE: I don't enjoy this game so much for plot. The plot, though there's more of it, is very inconsistent and takes huge leaps of logic. Bad logic. Though, what it lacked in plot, it made up for with depth. The bosses weren't so hard (excepting several thunder ones, and protoman, though the swordman falls easy once you know the tricks. And forte.) minus a few final ones. Alpha and Duo I cannot beat to this day. The rest are thouroughly spanked. The game's strong point is the huge variety of chips and things to deal with. The styles, souls, and crosses were all quite interesting, though it became progressively easier to win through them. And the music. The music is great. Sets the mood. It's not the most powerful until boss battles come around, but it rocks. Pretty good games overall.

Z: This game, though not a true megaman game, still gets me. There's a continuity of a first difficult boss. (Actually, second boss for zero one. Falcon somehow ate me alive.) The game was darker than the others, not having just a buster, but a host of weapons and elemental chips for several stuations. Megaman and X games' color abilities seem more situational, whereas in Zero you have different ways to kill. And there's progression aside from that. Cyber elves give permanent boosts and things. Megaman had only the abilities, and X had the armors, which I love to death. Zero kinda experimented with a few of them. EX skills were good to bring back in Z2. Though the armor styles were bland and were supposed to be more of X's trick. Zero's the movemaster, X the Stylechanger. The cyber elves and ex skills brought back zero's versatility factor, and the weapons were a nice addition. The mission ranks also make for nice things to try for, and very challenging to get. Further, I loved the character designs and the music. It just sticks so well. Music is action-packed, and the characters were very stylish, if more animalistic. Love it much.

ZX: Zx just seems more like it should be XZ. It's like a zero game with X icing, a bit of mixing. I love the music even more. The characters somehow became even more animalistic, which was great. The different forms really shined. It was a wonderful way to make up for forms from zero two. And weapon energy brought back the X feel. There are a few things that I adore to death about this game. Every time you kill even the smallest enemy, the screen shakes and there's a tiny bit of viration. I love this so much. It makes the game even more realistic feeling, and a bit more satisfying to wade though that crawlspace-of-a-hallway. Another thing I love: PX. I love PX oh so much. I mean, I love the other forms quite a bit, but PX just makes my day. I mean, in what other action game can you have somewhere between 20 and 30 knives onscreen at once? It's far more satisfying to jab twenty-bajillion knives into a lowly Galleon rather than machinegun a grunt. PX just does it for me. Overall, now that I think about it, ZX takes the cake now. It's a close to perfect gameplay blend of Megaman X and Megaman Zero. The versatility and the radical styles for situations. The bosses that were even more zeroesque than before, but still ring with X style (Prometheus is borderline sexy. That's coming from an asexual guy, here. Same with Giro!) and difficulty. The music is that much more awesome. The plot is not so contrived that you can't understand at all, nor so streamlined as that it's like mario. Perhaps a bit more would be good, but it had a firm backstory. For some reason, I just randomly have a fangirly moment when [spoil:b70eef9184] Giro literally decks a helicopter[/spoil:b70eef9184] and when [spoil:b70eef9184]You fight omega. I love it. I fought him at least 20 times over today.... That cannonball remix is just awesomeness![/spoil:b70eef9184]

So, there's my fiddlestick. Maybe I don't go with the status quo, but I have my reasons.

BAD SHAKAI! BAAAAAAAAAAAAD! YOU ONLY PLAYED X1-3 WHEN YOU POSTED THAT! BADDDDDDDDDDDDD

X has almost...completley moved up the list. I freaking loved X8. To f*cking death. That game was so awesome. It was like everything you could ever want in an X game. And to top it off, the graphics rocked.

Well, other than most of X's weapons kind of being...'useless', and his armor pieces annoying me, this game was uber fun-ness. I won't even judge X series by X7. X8 saved the series after that horrid game. And while X4-6 were good, there were so many discrepencies in plot that I cried. But those games were good. Gameplay-wise.

I've also played some of Dash. It's not really grabbing my interest. Partially because I either can't get into the control scheme or I can't find a PSX version with sound.

Also, it doesn't really grab me...not like X8 and ZX.

Yeah. Someone decking a helicopter, even though it was a cutscene, really grabs attention. : P

I would like to restate that Dash annoyed me ever so much when I finally realized that there WERE doors in the marketplace. /o/

Dash for me, hands down.
The voices were crap at times, the story in the first game was brutal, and the graphics stank something fierce, but somehow the dungeon design and gameplay kept it alive for me. 'Course it helped that I could only afford renting them at the time, so I never got an extended amount of time with either the first or second.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the marketplace music from the first game haunts my dreams Embarassed

not that I dislike any of them, mind you.

EXE, then Zero and X are tied for second, followed by original. I have not played the ZX, Star Force, or Legends series of games.

My favorite series is exe. It is what got me into rockman, and I really like the character designs.
Rockman Zero is a close second. again, I like it because of the characters, and the game is awesome XD (even though I'm not really good at it).
I also like ZX a lot, even though I never played the game. Reason? Same, characters.

Even though I grew up with the original Rockman, its probably my least favorite series, if only due to the fact that I have very little experience playing the games, and very little knowledge of the plot.

DASH is just above it, but only because its more of an Action/Adventure - RPG, than a Side Scroller, and it has a decent difficultly, not to easy, yet not insanely difficult. The plot is a bit cheesy for my taste though.

X used to be my favorite series, despite its god awful difficultly for anyone whose not an Old Skool gamer, used to difficultly that would cause youth to rip their hair out. But Seven pretty much killed my interest, Eight was just a tad better, and Command Mission was just barely fun, being pretty crappy by RPG Standards.

Zero is my second favorite series, having a barely manageable difficultly, and interesting plot, along with some fairly in depth characters. As far as the side scrolling series of Rockman games go, Zero is my favorite.

ZX is basically the exact same thing as Zero, and its thus far sub-par plot put it just below Zero, and right above X.

EXE is on top though, despite being unlike all previous Rockman games. Despite this series weak incarnation of Rock, or I should say Saito, the Style Changes, Double Souls, Crosses and Beast Out's more than make up for it in physical augmentation and character design. The plot is pretty deep if you follow it from Start To Finish, and most of the main character's are very in depth.

I haven't had a chance to play Ryusei yet, but from what I've seen, it'll probably come in right above, or below X, depending on its combat system.

Oh, and of all of the main Rockman versions, my favorite one is the classic version.
