Saying "Thanks!" in response to a quote isn't much of a post, and we see it as spam. PLease put more thought into your posts. Thanks!

Looking at the D/P Pokedex...

Are Diaruga and Parukia legendary Pokemon? They certainly look like they do. O_o

So... As some people will've seen and such, the new starters were revealed. (Azure's going to have fun with this XD)

The grass one's a beetle or a turtle, the fire one's a monkey and the water one's a penguin, as a (rather unreliable looking at the time!) Japanese blog previously stated.
Nothing unique about them gameplaywise yet, they have the same traits as every other starter set and only one basic move of their type each has been revealed (Razor Leaf/Bubble/Ember).

Otherwise... The Electabuzz evo is named Erekiburu/Electabull, and it's got a trait called Electric Engine.

Drapion has a move that apparently poisons opponents upon switching. I think it's referring to Poison Barb, which acts as a poison version of spikes but it could be something different.

Pokemon contests are different now. The appeal stage is the same as before, but there's two new stages before it.

The Dress Stage, where you stick accessories on a Pokemon (as seen in the commercial), and they get points based on how you dress them.

The second is a dance stage, in which the Pokemon appeal to compete in a what looks like a DDR-ish minigame. There's also what may be another new Pokemon shown in the screens of this, but it's kinda hard to discern what it is.

Spark is a physical attack, but that was kind of obvious.

Finally, my favorite bit of new news... Perappu has a signature move called "Chattering" or "Blather" or something like that (seen both translations), which confuses the enemy.

That's not particularily interesting on it's own, so what makes it my favorite? When it uses it, you can say something in to the mic and then Perappu will repeat it to the enemy, confusing them. I'm going to have
fun with that one.

Perrapu's attack sure sounds like fun! So do the new contest mini games, and stages (reminds me of 4H for some reason). Electabuzz's evolution sounds like it's going to be a real haymaker (which is nice), and having a fire monkey is going to be fun!

I can't wait! Penguins are awesome!

I have a few things to say. One; Maybe the grass starter will look like this when it evos. http://wiki.digivice.net/index.php?title=Xuanwumon
Two; maybe the monkey will be a big ape. And three; I'm getting a penguin.
I always get the water starters. But I hope that fake dark/pychic/fighting trio we saw are real. I'd like to have the dino.

Small update on the previous post.

Electric Engine raises the user's speed when certain conditions are met, probably similar to how Swift Swim and Chlorophyll do. The conditions are still unknown though.

Electabull also has a move called Giga Impact.

If that's possible, I am so abusing that option. Think of all the things you could say to confuse poor Pokemon.

XD That's going to be hilarious.

I'm really hyped for Pearl and Diamond now, the new moves are interesting, and additional contests sound fun. I'm definetly getting the penguin, as I hate monkeys and love penguins. That means that my prefered starters will go like this: Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Mudkip, and now that penguin. So far, the only fire starter that I've really loved design wise is Combusken. FLAMING NINJA CHICKEN AWAY!!!!!!!!

So... there was a new video released recently, and it found it's way over to Youtube just earlier today.

Nothing much new, it's mostly showing off some of the graphical stuff. But there are a couple new things shown...

It has a vew examples of the kinds of areas you'll go in, and shows some sort of port town where you're leaving on a ship, a place that looks sorta like a slums area or a mining town and an intense Snowstorm in the previously seen snowy area.

In additions to having a major upgrade on the battle animation quality (which is shown off very well here. There's some pretty awesome looking attacks), Pokemon still have animations when they come in to battle, like in Crystal and Emerald. Based on the two it showed in the video, they're slightly better than Emeralds, although still not as good as Crystal's.

Finally, There's a picture of the female trainer using an alternate outfit in one of the Contests. There's no direct confirmation on whether there's more than one, or if you can use them outside contest but a while ago there was a picture that looked like the male trainer with an alternate outfit in a Pokemon center, so that could very well be indicating something.

Also, unrelatedly to the video, Electric Engine's ability was confirmed. It raises Electabuzz's speed when it gets hit by an electric attack, and it takes no damage from them.

Somewhere, a Gyrados hater is screaming their head off right now.

Just to fill you guys in on a little bit of P/D related info, the Lucario & Mystery Of Mew movie is floating around the net before its release. They spiffed up the advanced battle theme & gave it a full song instead of a TV Version, I checked the rules, I saw nothing in there about posting a Link, so here is a link to the torrent that is LEGIT:

http://www.mininova.org/tor/401047

If I have violated a rule for this forum, I apologize to the staff & if you must edit this post I would hope that you please leave the fact that I said that the movie floating around at least. If not no big deal. If this is no violation enjoy the movie!

The new evolutions so far look amazing! The physical/special split helps out (and hinders) many of the pokemon, making some who were special sweepers change tactics entirely. The evolutions I look forward to are Nosepass's, Dusclops', both Eevee evo, Magmar's, and Porygon 3. New egg moves are also really interesting.

The typings for the starters is also nice. The penguin becomes a water/steel, and the monkey another fire/fighter. Grass/ground round off the list.
This new generation looks promising.

The starters are set up in a way so that if you pick one and evolve it, it can beat the others through tatics, each of them is strong to the others in some way.

I mean, along with the original type set up, the Water starter is now immune to grass's special effectiveness, but also loses it's high resistance to fire because of Steel. it can be brought down by fighting or ground. still falls to electric.

The Grass starter can beat the fire starter with it's ground based attacks, and it while the water starter has a one up in it's lack of special weakness, can beat it one way. It can beat the fighter starter the same way. it also really weak against ice now.

the Fire starter has the bottom of the barrel, still weak against water and ground and psychic, but it can beat both of the other starters.

A very well mixed bag, I'd say :3

Some pokemon I'm glad to see evolutions for are Lickitung, Tangela, and Togetic. It's nice to see them getting a bit stronger. The rabbit-pokemon looks interesting, and I can't wait to train a Bippa.

There's a lot of pokemon I like. I just hope I have room for all of the pokemon I like. With all of the new evos for old pokes. I'm getting the penguin. But the 3rd form for all of them look cool. I like some of the new pokemon they have. Some interesting ideas they thought of.

My game came yesterday~

I have: Hikozaru, Mukkuru, Bippa, Korinku, and Subomi (Who is actually, my strongest right now).

I tired to get online...and I got a Wi-Fi screen...but now I can't seem to do anything Wi-fi related.

I found the GTS building...but I'm in class right now so there's no Wi-Fi for me to try it with.

Can I just say that they're going way overboard with Pokemon evolutions and if it weren't for two things, the new Eevee evo's and me being a fan since the beginning, I wouldn't even consider these games? Now there are evolutions for Magneton, Nosepass, and Gligar to name a few. Stop the madness, people! Does anyone agree?
