Well..now..I am brave and asking it XD

There is something im asking me.About the Classic Series:Some people like to see the Forte-Roll pairing.But there're not together,right?!How is it in the manga?
Hmm..I just want your opinion..Im a little confused about that..

Well, there's always the more "official" Capcom pairing of Roll and Iceman...

As far as the manga goes... I dunno. I think Roll showed more of an interest in Elecman than anyone, and in some doujin, she had a thing for Quickman. But, I haven't really seen anything that said Roll showed any interest at all in Forte. They wouldn't make a good couple anyway; Forte's too arrogant of an asshole and Roll's too sweet and sorta-motherly. It wouldn't work and Light would have a fit.

As for Roll going with either Elecman or Iceman or even Protoman (as I've seen pairings of more than a few times)... Considering that they're all "related" in some way; it'd be kinda weird.

In Powered up.. it seemed more to me that Iceman has a crush on Roll, which she takes advantage of. Roll actually seems more interested in saving [spoil]Rock than anything else though... and the conversation between Roll and Copy Roll hints at that if I remember correctly >: not too sure... The Roll x Forte things is because Roll didn't get damaged in Forte's attack at all in MM7 and the fact you can save her in PF as Forte, and I think that she says somethings differently when you call her up in Rockman and Forte to Forte... because of these little things, it's become a fanpairing...

You know there's really no other (robot)females in the classic series. Maybe one but pairings will be kind of random and a little weird. I do know of a webcomic where bass likes roll (and any other female) but she's sarcastic and turns him down/insults him everytime.

I prefer the RollXMega pairing. Plus characters in the original series don't really have personalities, so pairing the odd couple up is mostly a chance to give a famed character some personality

Well, you'd be surprised how many BluesxRock supporters are out there...

But nevertheless, any and all kinds of ship couples will emerge in the fandom. It's like a fandom rule or something.

At least it's not Harry Potter. That fandom scares me.

Yeah, I've seen my fair share of BluesxRock pairings... It's still sick as it's all incestual. Nast-TAY! Have people no class?! It's like the EdxAl pairings for FMA, it's just gross!

That fan-movie is awesome. Anywho...

I can't say that I'm not at fault for robot lovin' as I've thought up quite a few pairings myself. And yes, an IcexQuick pairing is one of 'em. >>; But, they're not "related" as Blues and Rock, or Rock and Roll *rimshot* are, so it's acceptable within the confines of society's social morals. And considering the overwhelming lack of ladies for the characters to hook up with, I guess ya gotta look elsewhere. But, to pair 'em up with family members? UGH!

Think about it for a moment, which'll be easier for those who have siblings. Would you wanna jump in bed with your brother or sister? And those who have no siblings; are you keen on the idea of unleashing unbridled lust with your cousin or even one of your parents? Hell no! It's sick! It's a big, fat moral taboo!

It's no different for the pairings of Rock and Blues, or Rock (or Blues) and Roll. They were built to see eachother as siblings, and Light raised 'em (Rock and Roll at least) to act as such. They're Light's "children" in that sense. And just 'cause they're robots doesn't exempt 'em from the incest taboo. They were raised and taught to follow social morals regardless if their hearts are clockwork.

*whew*

As for the Classic characters not having personalities... They do. While they're not as developed as some of the other characters in other serieses, they still have personalities and quirks. Even the Robot Masters have their characteristics.

For example, Brightman is an eccentric blabbermouth with a resourceful and inquisitive mind. Crashman is a klutzy clean-freak with a very short and explosive (HAH!) temper. Magnetman is a hypochondriac, oddly. Shadowman is shallow, and somewhat of a prankster. Quickman is hyperactive and something of a smartass. And Iceman is an attention-craving kid-at-heart.

Sure, they're not that deep, but they still have personality.

I can see where you're coming from, and that's fine. However, Pyo also has a point...are robots really 'family' just because they were built by the same person? The bond and familiarness of a family can be there, sure, but when it comes down to it, are they really 'blood' siblings?

The whole thing can be interpreted in all sorts of ways.

The whole thing hinges on the question of how real are the robots but that's not the point. Plus all the robots in mm1 and oilman and timeman are technically related if related means built by the same person. So the basic topic about who pairs to who is complecated.

I think it's one of those "no one is really right or wrong" gray areas.
It's "wrong" for humans, cause there's the possiblity of really weakening or screwing up the genetics in there. (Maryland has TONS of little areas where they only believe in breeding though their own family... )
Robots don't really have a bloodline to fool around with.
....At least, not till ZX me thinks.

The 'moral' thing it's pretty much a gray area, as I remind people that it became considered 'moraly unacceptable' in just recently in the modern age, it was perfectly acceptable and highly encouraged all through human history Razz

It's not recomendable now because of the genetic disadvantages it might possess, but in many parts of the world it's still considered perfectly acceptable and perfectly encouraged.

In the case of robots, there's nothing that makes them being 'related' other than their own 'emotions' and conceptions of affection. For all we know their components all could come from so many different sources to be even 'related by hardware' XD

BUT, moving on.

Iceman DOES have a canonical crush on Roll. This was revealed in Battle and Chase, further hinted/developed in Rockman Rockman / Powered Up. As for the Forte x Roll thing, I did develope a liking to the pairing after reading a really well done fanfic that explained the developing of the couple in a very interesting and plausible way.

However, some people have taken a liking to that couple based in the fact that Forte seemingly never harms Roll even if he's got the chance to do so. (Even in Ariga's Manga Forte never actually got to blow up or harm Roll past a hit to push her away, considering he had all chances to just blow her up if he wanted to).

The fact you can even rescue her as Forte and she interacts with him in Rockman and Forte in a rather friendly way have also been used to support the theory that they could be a couple.

Also, there's been the 'as canonical as it can be' Roll crush on Rock, from Marvel VS Capcom, where Roll seems to have a crush on Rock. Part of it it's very lightly hinted at in Battle & Chase, too.

Starman does seem to have a crush on Roll too in canon and Ariga's Manga, although it seems more of a 'flirting' than any potencial love, in Ariga's manga. I recall there was some information about Starman having a liking for Roll, although I am not sure wether this is real or a confusion with Ariga's Starman.

Furthermore I believe Elecman and Cutman do have a slight 'crush' on Roll in Ariga's Manga too, although this one might be a little more 'platonic' than a serious crush like Iceman's.

I am not sure of any other relationship status she could have in the other "official" mangas, more especificaly in the Battle & Chase manga and the Rockman & Forte manga.

So yeah, Capcom has had no problem with hinting Roll in several possible relationships with her 'sibblings'. Which I asume would go over the same thesis Plagued One goes by, being robots there's really no 'blood bond' that makes the relationship 'immoral'. Or, they just don't give a squat about it XD
