Well, there is still a tiny bit of Trill's data in Rockman. I thought that it was separated from Rockman when he was carbonited.

While this was an excellent season ender, it was a poor series ender. The artwork was topnotch, and the cameos of the minor characters like Tamako were nice.

Still, through no fault of its own, the ep really suffered cause of the 9 minute limit. They could have clarified some stuff, like what the Cache Server really is (I don't understand it at least), and gone into greater depth as to what Jammingman's relationship with Cache was. (they may have already done that, but I can't understand enough Japanese) The only thing that really gave me a 'this is the End' feel was wehn the screen goes black at the end and we hear Netto say: '' Thank you, everyone.''

It's a shame that the anime started out so strongly, then had its timeslot usurpted, and ended with a fair degree of mediocrity.

I have to agree, the animation was excellent. I have't been able to watch the epsiode without so much freezing. Cache's plan was excellent. A very good way to end the EXE Anime. A great episode, but if it was longer, it would be better. The part when Netto's friends pop up and start to approach him was freaky. :O Enzan using a sword was nice. :puku:

Yeah. I can't believe they couldn't just cram it in there.

Well then, it might not make a whole lotta sense considering that...umm...y'know, that's not when Netto said it in the ending of BN6...He said it after...y'know.

I was kind of disapointed that in the end, not all of the crosses showed up. I was really looking forward to seeing Killer Cross in the anime, but it never happened. Sad

Did anyone notice that in the first seasons theme song, when they jack in, that in this epi that the entire time they were always going through the chache server?

They were probably just recyling footage for that.

As for how Trill showed up seemingly out of nowhere.... Remember how other characters from Beyondard have managed to enter Netto's world without much explanation (that I could see)? Perhaps Trill came the same way, only to be transformed into those data plates everyone else turned into upon entry. Only with Trill, he couldn't be confined by that kind of prison; his heart was too strong. He just didn't feel a need to leave until he found Netto and Rockman. o_O Wow, I can go on about theories, but this at least makes a little more sense...

And as far as animation and story times go, there really isn't much that I could add on that others haven't already mentioned. Just know that the mood was pulled off very well. The hopelessness, the freakiness, and the joy of the strangle-hold coming to and end. I'm just not used to my emotions being jerked around like that in less than 10 minutes. Blech, I'm still trying to shake off that feeling of dread...

And the end could be deemed definite as the preview for the next series is played right afterward.

And is it just me, or did Cache's final form remind you of Freezman.EXE?

Hey, the two second footage of Nenji made the whole series better for me. Razz

You mean because of the fact that Cache's horns resemble Freezeman's icicles and they both don't have noses?

For some reason, I was kind of hoping that Zero (who would have somehow survived the destruction of the Professor's ship) would suddenly appear and deal the final blow to Cache (or at least a critical blow when the situation seemed hopeless).

It's sad how Zero was just abandoned after some episodes. Beast + just fell apart in that way.

Ugh, this is not the way to end the series as a whole, but it's already been done, so what can you do? Dern those 9 minute time slots. =P

It's a shame that we never got to see Zero again, or even Forte (grrrrrr >_< ). It was nice seeing Trill again near the end, though. The animation art style made him look so squishy and adorable. =3

*chews on Trill* ...What?

I seriously think Zero should have come in and slashed Cache...or the Jammingmen (Who seem to like Netto Secks) when they tackled him now that I think about it. That's just the way Zero is....Or Zangetsu...XD

"Abandon your fears and strike. You just gonna let the world end without trying to stop it?"

...Or something like that XD

As expected, this left me wanting more. Alot more. I hope they do make a series ending Movie. [spoil:3009a17828]One that ends like EXE 6 and shows you 20 years later.[/spoil:3009a17828] It would be nice for them to do something with Serenade, and bring back Forte.

Not that bad but needed to be longer. Like most of the series. Good to see some of the characters again. Like Trill when he saved Lan and Megaman from the carbonite graham crackers. Not that bad but not that good. The series had a couple of problems but they were mostly because of the length.

I agree with Elementman.EXE. The series should get an ending movie to wrap up Forte's story. Including Serenade in it wouldn't be a bad idea. Besides, it'll give Netto another chance to score with Meiru. Ba-zing!

Now Beast+ is over I am left with mixed feelings.

These feelings are for the largest part positive but the issue I have with it is pretty big. And that is the shortness of the episodes. Most of the episodes of Beast+ were pretty good but their potential was (depending on the episode) ruined due to the shorter length.

It is just, the potential was there, the ideas they had were good, they just had problems executed it because they had to stuff it within a 10-minute timeframe resulting unevitably in sacrifices regarding the story. Just as with other Beast+ episodes, it was good but it could have been so much more memorable. I didn't really like cache as a villain (not in his last form) but that is not the point, it was pretty rushed although I admit the fight scene was somewhat longer. Still, they could have used the extra time spend on those Jammingman clones attacking Netto/Rock for a few exciting battle scenes. Anyway, in short, I liked the final story, lots of potential but partly wasted.

The animation was very good, I really liked the hug between Netto and Rock at the end and trill coming back again. (Do I have to assume that Cache's influence reached Beyondard as well?)

I am disappointed there were no ending credit sequences as in the series before this as well as that we couldn't see all the crosses. Due to the 10-minute frame. I don't understand why they did this. Of course a normal episode length is no guarantee for a good episode though, I liked the first part of Beast (mystery, excitement, great enemies) but the second part was IMO just disappointing. I also didn't like the imbalance of the navis of Greiga and Falzer (Greiga just seemed to be overall stronger with his navis)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Despite this, I really enjoyed Beast+, I especially liked the Zero story-line, as well as all the very well drawn Rockman Beast appearances.

Nice last season, could have been a lot better and has left me with that feeling that I expected more of it.

Man, what a lame ending. I just watched eps 20-26 this morning, and it was stupid. We got no conclusion at all on Zero's story (unless they are just going that he really died that lame in ep 16), Bass was no where to be seen, nothing was done with Dr Wily, and this Phantom navi guy just appeared out of nowhere without even a reason. Oh, and let's not forget how abrupt the ending was. It was great until MM transferred back into the PET, then his friends run up, and bam, it ends without even an epilogue like the other series had. Talk about lame.

Here I thought this series was better off at 10 minutes, because it meant there was no time for filler, and yet, they still found away to fill this series with crap. The HatMan episode was lame (glad EXE is over, as they were really starting to run out of ideas for Navis), we could have done without the drill brothers and the one with Bubbleman and ElementalMan (ep 17 I believe). I haven't been able to see ep 19 yet (I got ep 20 twice somehow), but now I don't know if I even want to go through all the trouble of finding a working download.

Overall, I'm giving Beast+ a 3.5/5, but it could have been so much better. There better be a movie in the works to give this series a proper conclusion or I'm not going to be very happy.
