Ryuusei Episode 1 Talkback (Spoilers! :o)

Well, in my scifi experience, when a space station starts malfunctioning and disappears, that's bad news.

From my observations, I'm gonna infer that the Drago, Leo, and Pegasus satellites beam the Radioworld signals to Earth, which is probably pretty obvious.

The opening wasn't bad IMO. Showed us the main characters Subaru, Daigo (his dad), his mom, Nenji-esque fellow with AMAKEN baseball cap, rocker girl, blonde girl, and the crazed looking Radio Police Chief. For the FMs, I could clearly see Taurus Fire, the swan guy, and what looked like a whirlpool.

The remixed EXE music was a nice touch, as well as the IPC logo. I hope we get to see what happened to the characters from EXE sometime in the future.

I hope that Ryuusei doesn't make the mistake that Beast Plus did in cramming 25 minutes worth of material into 10 minutes. They could've just spread it out like what Ryuusei seems to be doing, but that could be because the actual game doesn't come out for two more months.

As an EXE fan, and as a space affictionado, I wish Ryuusei off to a great start!

The characters look better in animation. That big kid reminds me of dex.
Those transers are huge. It's not that bad so far. But I wish it was longer.
That might help. Or it could work out well in 10 minuter parts.

...All joking aside, I've noticed that the class president chick...her hair...it makes her look like Leganchor from ZX.

If you've seen how huge Leganchor's head is, you'll know what I mean...XD GOD IT'S HUGE!!!!!!

Personally I was shocked when I saw the Opening theme. I figured that they would do like they did in Beast+ and have no oppening, but yeah. I liked the song, but the images were lacking, probably because of the lack of shadowing. Though it seems that most the good animation will be the scenes with the space stations, and the radio world parts.

The Opening was lacking probably because of the lack of info on the game, and the anime team either can't give spoilers or only have a vague idea of what is going on. What came first with .Exe? The show or the game?

Based on Subaru's reaction, it's probably the equivalent of our frozen meals.
It made me wonder how they cook non-AutoMeal foods....

I just want to know what went wrong with the Brother Band System. I mean at the beginning everything looks good and then, fwish, Diago's gone in an instant. e_e

WarRock might be 'good' just because it's to his convinience. I mean he meets up with Subaru who's father is lost in space, he's a fugitive, and since their goals can be similar, WarRock wanting to beat the people after him, and Subaru trying to find his father on the Wave Road, I think we might have an interesting concept...

if they take advantage of it...

I like the art in this series, it doesn't seem lacking but more reminiscent of the beta-EXE that could have been, to me. It's not that the colors aren't vibrant, it's just the art style isn't as restricted. (at times EXE looked to have had heavily restricted angles and character profiles compared to, say , the X anime or this one.)

I also wonder how much of EXE will affect Ryuusei. =o

I think I might jump to conclusions to much.. XD;

Hmm, yes now I see it's almost the same colour as Subaru's clothes so it's hard to see. Still...they're not exactly emphasising it are they?

Well I disappeared during the course of Beast+ so I'm giving Ryuusei a shot.

Although I think the art needs a little more depth then what we are given with...

Hrm hrm...I'm sitting in class right now trying to listen, but this here has caught my attention much more then Beast+ did.

I think it's just because they needed a default colour, and blue was Pegasus. It's hard to say at this point, there could be a deeper meaning to it.

His father had a blue one as well, but that's the only thing that could be signifcant that we've seen so far.

Blue just goes the best with his design, too. Orange/red for Leo wouldn't have worked since Subaru's design is already primarly warmer colors, and green would clash and look too Christmas-y. Blue is the best balance on him.

Well, I tried to alter some screenshots of the opening to see if I could figure out any of the other FMs...of course, it didn't really work. After Taurus and Cygnus, I have some guesses on the next pair (if it is a pair). Random speculation if you want it! The one on the right, you can obviously see a snake-like thing twisted around the FM's arm. Easy guess is Ophiuchus, the serpent bearer. Along with that constellation is Serpens, obviously, the serpent. But, then again, the left side of that pair has some kind of mace/spiked ball that looks like Knightman's RRB. With an obvious water effect above it. Unfortunately, there are other snake-based constellations: Hydra, the water serpent and Hydrus, the water snake. Maybe the FMs are a pair like that. The only other obvious water constellations (I'm ignoring fish ones now) are Aquarius or Capricorn, so either one could be the left side FM. I don't think it's really goat looking, so I doubt it's Capricorn.

I'm totally sure the final pair are Gemini now. Scrolling the image until SubuRock is crunching down, the background is darker and I can make out the head of the white twin much better, eye is sorta Plantman-ish. They both do have one massive golden Heat-Guts style arm, which they're gripping around the bicep. I dunno if it's reddish hair or what coming out of the top. But being a Gemini, right now, they're my faves!
