The fact that he can see things that others can't leads me to conclude that Subaru's bond with WarRock will be a secret, at least until much later in the show. I mean, who's going to believe him when he says he's friends with a alien and can turn into a being made of radio waves?

Thats why I think his school pals won't be very important. Since none of them will be in on the Warrock thing he will probably spend more time with the guitar girl who presumably will be in on it.

My opinion in list form.
The opening is pretty happy isn't it.
I wonder who the other female characters are.
Luna has large hair.
Most everyone looks better in animation.
The voices are another thing.
The transers are pretty big. Do they hold card in there?
The characters will probally take awhile to like/get to know.
Also, luna's hair is poofy. That's why. And what was with that one guy with amachi.

Considering Subaru looked exactly the same in the flashback of Amachi and Akane breaking the news to him about Daigo, I'd say the anime rewrote it so Daigo's disappearance was very recent, possibly within a few months. This makes a bit more sense; if Subaru was STILL grieving over his missing father after three years, his behavior would realistically be a lot more severe than simply staring at the stars every night.

That's what I was thinking, thank you~.

WarRock reminds me of a hedgehog for some reason. Sonic anyone? :O

WarRock is more like a lion. Afterall, a lion is a little more intimidating than a hedgehog don't you think? Plus, it fits in with the star/constellation pattern (i.e. Leo)

Why do I get the sneaking suspicion that that dude with the bags under his eyes is going to be trouble later on?

Agreed. I'm getting a suspicion that Mr. Decaf will get one of the FMs, Cygnus, in my opinion, since a swan is a graceful, beautiful creature, which will be a stark contrast to the man. Opposites attract, no? Or it could be an expression of inner beauty. Maybe there is something more to Mr. Decaf than meets the eye? He could be one of those highly sensitive people, which may be the case cause he fled Amachi and Subaru. They could have been talking about him, but I sorta doubt that.

The episodes are interesting, especially that girl Luna trying to take him to school (she's the class president?)

Still, the nine minute episodes really piss me off. I can't help but feel cheated at the shorter episode span.

I agree, ten minute long episodes are evil. But then again, maybe that's the point. Both episode 1 and 2 dropped on really evil cliffhangers (the latter being much more evil), thus helping to build suspense. I suspect that this is to ensure that audiences will definitely tune in to the next episode.
Of course, due to my wonderfully fuzzy logic and chronic habit of reading into things that aren't there, I could be totally wrong. Maybe Oha Coliseum is just being evil. Laughing

Note: All links are probably spoilers.
Luna is definitely one of the cutest characters to ever appear :3 *hogs all fandom rights except fanart*. She's right up there on my favorites list with Slur and Dorothy Catalonia. Speaking of Dorothy...Has anyone noticed that she's similar to Dorothy Catalonia (Gundam Wing)? Maybe it's just the way how I compare appearances, but I do believe that they look similar. Even their backgrounds and most likely their personalities too.
Luna vs. Dorothy

Kizamaro reminds me of Weevil from the YGO anime series. XD His personality probably matches that of Weevil too. =P
Kizamaro
Weevil

Oh yeah...I also hate the 10 minute episodes because of the stupid CLIFFHANGERS!!!

(I made my first motivational poster! I'm so proud!!! ^__^)

Heh, episode was fine for me. Anyway, can someone translate dialogue between Warrock and Cygnus? I could understand only few words xP

They only look really similar in their hair, I think. They're personalities aren't anything alike. Dorothy was cool, and Luna kinda annoyed me. But, they do look a lot alike, but beyond that, no.

Kizamaro reminds me more of Max than of Weevil. He seems like an arrogant type, but not so nearly as obnoxious. Even so, I like Gonta better than Kizamaro. Then there's Luna. Luna's hair is kinda...weird...it's like it has a mind of its own! Laughing

I suspect Rockman will be something like a Vigilante in Ryusei. The mysterious masked hero whose presence everybody feels but is never seen. Luna, Kizamaro and Gonta (in that order) will probably be the first of the "ordinary" people to suspect Rockman's true identity. (Well, part of his identity, anyway. )

Zero's hair looks normal and pretty natural to me. But Luna's...eee... it's just strange and unnatural. It's look like some sort of Puffy Battle Helmet *shot!* xP

I'm really liking this new series. The opening music is so good, I'm addicted to it a the moment!

It's a really nice touch the moving motion on Luna's hair, it makes it more realistic. Also I don't this the character designs are that bad, I actually love Subaru's and Luna's. And the Gonta guy really freaks me out because I never liked Dekao <_<.

I personally think Gonta's design is better than Kizamaro's. The squirt sounds like he has bad nasal congestion. Gonta's just...Gonta... :puku:
Then there's Luna. I swear, her hair has a mind of its own. By the way, her hair is curly, not poofy. You can tell because of the way it looks moves. It's just uber big. Laughing

Sneaking suspicion #3: Luna, Gonta, and Kizamaro will play very significant roles from time to time in Subaru's adventures, but they will be minor in comparison to other characters down the road.

Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that the fifth shadowy figure in the OP seems to be an Electric user instead of Fire in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind seeing Luna and Gonta a couple of times. The max-alike, maybe not.

Heh, strangely enough, for some reason I like Kizamaro the most. Although the design of these three IMO are not really that great, I am not going the judge them yet. I was a bit hard on Gonta in my last post but I'll give him a chance. It could be very well possible with the series progressing they will all turn out alright. I mean, one episode is for me not enough to make up my mind about a character.

I don't know if they will play a big role but I do hope they will have some real character development in this series, considering the 10minute -time frame it could be a bit difficult. But the fact that this series seems to be progressing at a slower pace than Beast+ looks really promising.

About the strange-looking person Subaru was talking to, I entirely agree with everyone who said he could become evil and get one of the FM's. Yet, I felt sorry for him when I saw the state he was in, I don't know about what Subaru and he were talking though. If he will become one of Subaru's opponents I just hope he will get his share of character development and that he hopefully won't be portrayed as an one-dimensional villain who has to be beaten at all cost without any chance of redemption.

Anyway, this series has caught my interest and I look forward to episode 3. The shorter episode length is disappointing but if they keep up this slower pace it won't be too bad. I love the animation and I am really curious to Warrock's background. I wonder if he is a good guy or if he has done some bad things in the past. If he did, it would make for a real interesting storyline IMO, but I don't expect they will take that road.
