Actually, I always pretend to cross fuse with my navi. Like if quickman was your navi maybe you could cross fuse or use a dementional chip to get places faster. |

Guardman.EXE wrote: | Well technically speaking, it would be quite hard to get a synchro chip. In the anime, only about 7 or so people have the chips. So 7 of the people who own navis, out of the majority of people in the world...(standard navis that is,). Also you have to be in excellent sync with your navi which would lots of training. |
This is a "what if" thread, so let's "what if"! ^_^ Don't talk like it can't be done. Meijin-san himself said that someday soon it would be possible to Cross Fuse at any time, anywhere, so... _________________

yes! what if, what if, what if! hmm...i would like to CrossFuse with my netnavi GuincoolMind and perform one his special abilites - GuincoolRush! i would almost never be late to anything. activate GuincoolRush and then use a Dash chip to coast for a while...yeah, that would be cool... _________________ Avatar by Tabby (of my NetNavi, GuincoolMind.EXE) : : :

I'd lose mine, I guarantee you.
Personally, I think it'd be most handy because I could store books and newspapers and the like on the PET and poof them in front of me with the hologram feature.
Oh and having a navi would be cool, I'd make mine a paper manipulator. _________________

I would want to make Guardman.EXE, avenger of the mets! Probably start Thje Black Crescendo Organization up too, seeing as I've always wanted to be the leader of an evil organization... _________________ Salem Paroo, Guardman's roleplay character!

A paper manipulator like the girl in Read or Die? i would have lots of e-books and try to wire up my computer to the PET to see my desktop as a hologram. _________________ Avatar by Tabby (of my NetNavi, GuincoolMind.EXE) : : :

Yeah, it would be really coll to cross fuse and baisically beat the crap out of any darkloid that shows up. I'd choose and axcess PET or a stream one bacuse I like the design. Another fun part would be downloading battlechips ^_^. _________________

Don't beat up too badly on the Darkloids. At least Dark Rockman-sama did something noble. (sort of) If I could have ANY Navi in all the world, it'd be him.
But, since that's unlikely, I'm more than happy to settle with my own fan-based Navi Axl.exe, master shapeshifter and personification of randomness and hyperactivity. Cross-Fusing with him would be fun. _________________

It would be really cool if PET's were real, if I had one with a navi I would use it to help me with things in daily life. But more importantly I hope to develop a real friendship with my navi, even though it is a program (very advanced) the idea that someone will always be there for you and tries to help you is something that really appeals to me. A navi could help building your confidence, encouraging you to do things you were afraid of doing when you were alone, guiding you in your daily life, helping you with difficult decisions, cheering you up when you are sad, motivate you to face your problems when you want to avoid them, giving you advice, etc. And vice versa of course. I would always be there for my netnavi, although netnavis are advanced programs to help humans I am sure they could face difficult moments in their existence as well and needing their operator for help and support.
Sigh, this makes me wish I had one earlier in my life if they would exist some day. I work now for several years at a large company, but my school years were a living nigthmare for me from beginning to end. A navi wouldn't be able help me everytime of course, but at least I would have had one good friend during those years. And only because I have a deformed head due to an illness when I was a baby, but I have gotten over it, looking back on it did made me stronger. I guess the feeling of loneliness I experienced has given me some strong feelings about this subject. I am sorry for the rant, I had to get it off my chest.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As for a navi, if I could make any choice, I would, just as cccd-erckie go for Dark Rockman. For some reason this navi always had a special place in my heart. I always had the feeling since his first appearance that something was strange about him, a feeling that he wasn't completely evil as he pretended to be. I really liked his noble act at the end, I just wished he would had a bigger role and not just used as a pawn IMO. But I digress...
But besides him I would settle for my own fan-based navi (still working on it), his figure would resemble Rockman a bit (I just mean he has a human shape) and he would have a special stone on his helmet (Red glow gives him offensive powers and green glow would give him defensive powers)
He is calm, doesn't talk very much, wears a scarf (don't ask) and is friendly and kind navi always willing to help others. (except for the scarf the description would fit me)
Cross-fusing sounds very cool, but I much rather would like to see my navi materialize in the real world.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Netbattles sound like a lot of fun, not the most important thing for me, but when I have the time I would definitely netbattle, even if it was only to keep my navi in shape. Of course the navi would have to like netbattling but I guess it would be a kind of sport to them. |

JH24, you are officially my new best friend. You basically said everything I believe to be true about Dark Rockman-sama, and your own custom Navi sounds really cool.
As for Navis materializing, a Dimensional Chip will solve that problem. :] _________________

Yesh! Exactly!
He brings up a good point with materializing Net Navis, though. It's easy (relatively) to get a Synchro Chip, but what about a Dimensional Chip? Those were made by Duo and/or Slur. _________________

I have no idea how to find a dimensional chip cccd-erckie, it would be great to have one. I was actually more thinking about a copyroid, as far as I know they were created by humans except for the energy amount required to make it work. Beast spoiler: [spoil:d91f6e36bd](As far as I know that was provided by someone from the Falzer army in the anime when the first copyroid was activated)[/spoil:d91f6e36bd]
But thinking about it, a Dimensional Chip you mentioned would be better, I saw once in the series (Beast episode 3) how a navi in a copyroid [spoil:d91f6e36bd]lost an arm during battle[/spoil:d91f6e36bd] So a Dimensional Chip would be better I think. Cross-fusing like I said before would be great as well but for some reason I just prefer to see my navi in the real world than to fuse with him. Although all those powers you gain would be very nice.
I am not entirely sure but Dimensional Chips don't exist anymore after Stream, or do they? Did a human ever managed to keep one? |

All of the Asteroids were eventually destroyed (except Napalmman), so their Dimensional Chips went with them.
Copyroids, as you said, may be the only other way to see your Navi materialize in the real world, since Dimensional Areas don't affect normal Navis as they do Darkloids. Go figure. _________________

Thank you, I am sorry for not replying to your post earlier. About the writing down, when I started I just couldn't stop anymore. This subject interests me and after thinking about it on a quiet sunday afternoon I've got a new idea for a fanfic.
But coming back on the topic, if you have a PET and a navi the possibilities would just be endless. You need specific information about World War II for your history project? Just plug in your navi and he/she will find what you want quickly. Viruses infecting your computer? Just plug in your navi and he/she will take care of it. Problems with your homework and you don't understand your teachers explanation? Your navi will be your own personal after-school teacher! I am sure this would make learning a lot more fun! In short, everything is possible and the society would change.
Disadvantages are there as well of course, advanced programs could find ways to elude the control of their creators, criminals could create their own cybernet crime organizations. Mankind could become too dependant on navis and their abilities, but all these things were already shown in the EXE-series.
I know this is offtopic, but was there any reason why Darkloids could materialize in Dimensional Areas and normal navis not or were DA's especially adapted to Darkloids? I didn't follow Axess and Stream as well as Beast (+) so I don't know so much about this then I should. |

And because these things were already shown in Rockman EXE, society should be prepared to handle any potential threats. If not, then their just stupid and neglectful.
As for the Darkloids, I have no idea. Regal created the Dimensional Areas for the Darkloids to use, so maybe he created it to react to their data? Don't forget that the Zoanroids used the Copyroids to enter the real world, making me suspect that only the Darkloids could react to the Dimensional Area the way they did. Call it an edumacated guess. :/ _________________

I am sorry for going off-topic, but I wanted to thank you for your explanation cccd-erckie. Thanks!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanted to add one more thing about about society and netnavis. I wonder, even if a society knows the potential threats could they really prepare themselves for it? I mean, criminals will always be present and find new ways to use technology for their aims, we can believe we have prepared ourselves for everything but is that really possible? When we are creating something that is smarter then us, thinks faster then us can we really think we have a solution for every possible situation that could happen?
When I watch Rockman-exe, despite the fact it is a cartoon, I was drawn in because of the possible view we got on the future. A future I am not sure I would want to live in. How many times did something went wrong?
Even though it were often humans who started it they made use of the all the tools we have created ourselves.
I love the idea of netnavis existing together with humans, but whenever the time could come (not in my lifetime probably) that we can achieve this I feel we should keep all the things necessary for our survival in human hands. No intelligent computer or AI should ever be left in charge of something so important. I am exaggerating here and I am sorry but this is just how I feel about it. Humans can be evil as well and not always be trusted. But at least it would remain a human matter not a situation that pits us against an enemy we created ourselves. (I really have to stop watching so many science fiction series)
Well, I don't think this will make much sense and I am sorry but when I start writing something I just can't stop anymore. Heh, I guess I am just too paranoid. |

Let me challenge you with this:
It is true that criminals evolve, and will use anything to get what they want.
However, the law and its enforcers will continue to evolve. Methods of catching criminals would evolve, too. Suppose a confident thief sends his Navi into the bank to steal money. The police, once alerted, would send their Navis into the bank after the thief's Navi.
Suppose a drunk driver uses his PET to hijack a car. The police, once alerted, would jack their Navis into the car's computer system and shut it down.
The possiblities for crimes are endless, and the police would be trained to deal with these new, endless possibilites. _________________

well, i have a comment kind of paranoid like JH24's (also because im thinking of a fanfic, customized sprite sheets, and whatnnot for my website)...criminals could become city netbattlers by passing the tests at the official center. whenever the good guys would come, they could just sit there and say the bad guys got away. i think there would have to be safeguards to counter incidents to counter safeguards to counter incidents (does that make sense?) basically, a system would need to be thoroughly thought out in order to minimize as many incidents as possible. however, i agree with cccd-erckie. no matter how many criminals that would arise, there would be 3 times as many good guys and im one of them :D ! i would like a world like that in my lifetime...although im just one person, i would like to start something to jumpstart the NetNavis and PETs. im in my first year of college right now, slowly learning some programming stuff and whatnot. _________________ Avatar by Tabby (of my NetNavi, GuincoolMind.EXE) : : :

Only the smartest and most corrupt of bad guys would do that. Most bad guys would panic and spill the beans once they see the cops. But I do agree that a thorougly thought out security system is an absoulte must.
I do think that a world like the one in EXE is very near at hand. Maybe even within our lifetimes. ^_^ _________________
