I just want to say, that while the animation lacks depth, I simply believe that it was just rushed, and could very well improve as the series progresses.
And I don't know if it's just me, but in the image of War-Rock in the intro (when he's standing/hovering/floating next to Subaru), his head looks too small. I'd think that a beast-like guy like him would have a larger head. It just looks odd to me. Maybe it's also due to rushed animation, or just the angle.
And as for Luna. Well, rich, blonde ladies tend to have poofy hair. |

Frankly, I really like the quality of animation in Ryusei no Rockman. It gives the anime a somewhat old-school feel to it, which matches the retro-futuristic setting perfectly.
It's a fresh new start after the disappointment that Beast+ was. |

I laughed at the OP when I realise Amachi had been given red hair for some reason. _________________

Subaru and WarRock and being shot from ground level looking up, so it's really just an illusion. But, beast-like as he is, he's also anthro, meaning that his body, while animalistic, is human in proportion, including his head. He just doesn't have feet. _________________

Well I watched the first 2 episodes, and honestly, I don't think I'll be sticking around. First off, the designs are just ugly. Someone should tell Subaru that the Yugi hairstyle is no longer in fashion. Oh, and the blonde head is very ugly. Secondly, the animation is very bad looking and it feels like they are using the leftsovers to EXE's budget. As for the story itself, quite boring and repetitive. This is supposed to be MegaMan/RockMan, NOT Tekkaman Blade. The music is not very good, and nothing has happened, especially in the first episode. It felt more like Capcom said, "Uh oh, we have run out of ideas for EXE and the fans are noticing it, quick, let's rehash EXE by giving the characters different names and looks and putting it into space, they'll never notice."
Ep 1 gets a 1/5
Ep 2 gets a 1/5 _________________ Once I was Dr Kain, but I died and have been reborn as Gankutsuou. |
