Remove the song lyrics section from the website.

The RIAA has made it illegal to post/host lyrics on the internet. They have sent C&Ds to places like lyrics.com

That's amusing. The RIAA now owns the internet. OBEY! I actually did try to search just to see if I could find any real source for that little tidbit you threw out there and mostly all I found was two little forums talking about it in 2005. The other instance where they sued somebody involved scans or copies of booklets. I'm sorry, but they will never have the power to stop all postings of all lyrics across the internet, and lyrics.com is still up and running. Not to mention the lyrics posted here are not from American recording artists (although wasn't it a guy from Megadeth who arranged Ashiato or something to that extent) so techinically, I don't think the RIAA has any control over anything that isn't, well, American. I don't think this is really an issue worth worrying about.

Where is this site hosted? Also, lyrics.com is still there but they don't have lyrics anymore.

I think you'd need to come up with an officla press release of this one. Not to mention, yeah, the songs aren't american. I don't think Ryouko has anything to worry about, since...y'know...Capcom even allows AF to host their soundtracks as well.

Yeah, there are still lyrics there, click on an A-Z, choose a group, album, song. Where this site is hosted shouldn't matter when the RIAA has no jurisdiction over artist's songs not produced in America. If this was entirely a huge deal, there would be lots of news coverage because there would no doubt be a ripple effect on other net content that would really alter the landscape. Not gonna happen too easily and probably protected to an extent by free speech. If they did try to enforce it, I'm sure there would be Congressional or Supreme Court intervention due to the hundreds and thousands of lawsuits that would pop up.

That's odd. When I went to lyrics.com after the C&D hit the news, there were no sections for lyrics and when I went to animelyrics.com, everything routed to google but I just now checked back and it is now working again. Did the RIAA back down or something? There have been times when they withdraw something.

The RIAA forbids people to post lyrics of songs that THEY have control over, which means that songs from anime or overseas does not qualify to go under RIAA protection. And the lyrics issue is really old news...
