Body Guard was just plain unfair

BodyGuard was like really easy to dodge if you had all of your panels free. It only shoots 18 stars. Another P.A. that I like is Gater. It's almost im possible to dodge, unless you use Pop up. My brother had his folder chalked full of Pop up and Auras, so he'd be able to defend against it. The best P.A. out of the series as a whole is probably Darkness, though.

It would be if it weren't 1. gameshark-required and 2. brought down to a reasonable level.

A total 6000 damage is overkill and unnecessary with a single program advance. A combo of PA's and/or chips, sure, but just a PA? No.

Yeah but its still awsome. The first time I tried it out, its like HOLY CRAP!!!!!! IT KILLED BASS DELUX IN ONE FREAKEN HIT!!!! It's so awsome though. An advance like that kinda makes you want to take advantage of it's power, and besides, an Advance like that would really come in handy for Duo in BN4. I beat him twice, but it was just pure luck. You could really beat him fast if Darkness Neo was that strong! The only thing is, Darkness sucks in Link Battles.

Yes, but aren't hacked or banned things in general awesome? Part of the reason that they may have been banned or removed is that their power level would completely imbalance the game. Take MtG, for example, where the "Power Nine" were sworn never to be reprinted and were banned and/or restricted in tournaments, simply because their power level surpassed those of all future cards and broke the game.

Things like Memory Jar were removed because it made turn-one wins common. What kind of metagame would that be? Same applies to this PA. If it were tournament-legal, tournaments would degenerate to button-mashing fests, and players would either play the PA or play specifically against that PA, and folders would have zero variety.

Yeah. The next best one is Gater, then. Darkness would come in handy with Duo, but that's just me. Gater was nearly impossible to dodge without a invis chip of some sort, and then there's TimeBomb+, Master Cross, and 2x Hero. In my opinion, the Advances that freeze the screen or cover a lot of area are the best ones. Does anybody know what Prix Power does? I've gotten everything on BN3 besides the V5 MegaChips. I hear Prix Power is pretty Awsome though.

After recently testing it out, CosmoPrison is pretty good too!

Never use Cosmo Prison. It is, flat out, a bad Program Advance. Why? Because the chips used separately can do more damage than the PA. They're just more useful alone.

Indeed. To do the mathematics...

Cosmo Prison by itself will deal 330 damage minimum, and around 590 damage maximum (forgot the precise figures).

CosmomanSP, however, is maxed out at 130 x 3 = 390 damage, which is already more than the minimum value of Cosmo Prison by itself. In addition, any obstacles next to you are sucked up and spewed out as more meteors, dealing 390 + 260 = 650 damage with two obstacles on the field. MUCH more useful than the PA, ne?

Besides, if the enemy is standing at the edges or has an obstacle right in front of them, Cosmo Prison will have its damage reduced, something CosmomanSP is potentially able to correct.

This was taken straight from here. It's not often that a PA does less than the constituent chips do altogether, but when it happens, it certainly can't be a good thing.

Edit: I spell oh-so-well. Typo corrected.

Cosmo Prison? Never heard of it. Like I said, I prefer Advances that cover a wide area and have high attack, not like Gigacannon where you shoot it off once and if you miss, you've waisted your entire turn. If this Cosmo Prison is anything like that, its probably crap, and from what I hear, it hasn't got much attack either, so its probably not worth it unless your just using it to fill out the P.A. Memo.

CosmoPrison is in EXE5. Asteroid3 C x2 and CosmoMan SP or DS. If you've seen his 'desperate' attack when he shoots out all those little orbs, thats CosmoPrison. It's not the best, but its pretty much undodgeable and great in netbattles with your friends.

My favorite program advances are Boxer and Evil Cut (aka, Akuretsuzan). I also liked the Hyper Rat, mainly because it served me well in BN 3.

Akuretsuzan is just fun to say, and Boxer... well, punching, punching, and more punching :D.

That the PA doesn't have as much damage as the chips that make it combined is not always a bad thing. For example, 2xhero (or deuxhero, forget which) has that attribute. However, I still use it because it is a full-screen attack, when the component chips are comparatively limited swords.

LifeSword 3 (BN2) mainly because it was buyable in the * code.
Gater: I spammed my folder with the chips, mainly to take care of Gospel.
ElecPulse pa (forgot name): drain enemies HP until he/she dies and it stuns Razz

Darkness, so fun to use against BassDeluxe, or those damn protecto's

In BN2 I have spammed my folder with Life Sword 3's. Total insanity -- I owned Forte Deluxe with it.

In BN5, Big Noise was completely broken. Huge area of hit, pierces Invis, paralyses... yeah. Wild Bird was also useful with a +30 tagged on, and x2 from Anger or Sync.

I saw this one thing on YouTube about MMBN2 battles with PharohMan, NapalmMan, and Bass, and All they had was five 2xHeroes and a bunch of fast gauges. It was all either B codes or * codes! I made the same folder and its pretty much the ultimate 2xHero folder out there! Its not even possible NOT to get 2xHero on your first turn. I owned every Navi with that advance (except Bass, I used Darkness on him).

2xHero is the best Advance that doesn't cross the lines as being cheap, unless you use it in a folder like that (It was awsome, but cheap. It got old after a little while though: No Variety).

Any Program Advance that makes you win by pressing the 'A' button, with little to no aiming, is really nothing more than cheap. Hence, Gater, DeuxHero, 2xHero, BodyGuard (yes, stun the enemy beforehand and you have a 'win game' button) and, of course, Dark Messiah in EXE2, fit into that category.

EXE6 had decent PAs that /might/ have been broken, especially Destroy Pulse, but as it stands, they're quite good and have some of my favourite PAS in the series. No, don't blame the code.

Cosmo Prison actually is a full-field attack, but due to screwed-up mechanics over its damage, it'll occasionally deal less damage than CosmomanSP by itself. >_>

Double Hero aren't exactly cheap. The max it can do is only 1,000, and that's only if you have all the chip arrangements right.

And besides, if hacking for Darkness PA is great, I might as well hack for "omg select = deletion". XD;

Technically,2xHero does a decent amount of damage and doesn't actually make you automatically "win." Unless it is somehow overly abused with powerup chips, its not really that cheap, unless you have like five or six in a single folder. Gater is kind of cheap, but not extremely cheap. It only delt 900 some damage. That's not very much compared to some others (like Darkness).

Bodyguard? Well, it's easy to dodge, and on MultiPlayer battles, after a few shots, you stop flinching and you can continue to dodge (Believe me, I've tested this out.)

As for Darkness, I agree that it's cheap and too overpowered, but it's an Advance that you have to get with a cheat hacking device, and people usually only cheats if they're stuck on something, or if they've already beaten everything and need something to do (that's why I got it). But if you use it all the time, then it begins to become more and more cheap and it takes the fun out of the game.
