Making my thread go bump in the night...well, it's after 5 PM, almost dark, close enough.

Thanks again Planty for catching my error, even though in my quick reply I never really said it. That said, I really really rushed to get this done by the 31st. There are still many little things I can find wrong, but getting it done in time was my priority. Things such as, "Why can you see Trill's feet, but nobody else's?" Answer - Rush is popping him up into the real world through that hole of his and Trill is standing on his head. Really? No, but just pretend. It works as an excuse. Other gripes I have include Meiru's face and Dekao's legs, but, oh well. They aren't horribly out of proportion.

After I got my Netto/Meiru part done I thought, crap, this is getting too big. And it did, so besides BurgerKingman Torakichi, Franken Dingo and Tohru - the creature from the Icy Lagoon were cut or not drawn. Maybe next year. Realizing this isn't 56k friendly, 3 versions. First, medium sized, with text. Second, HQ version, no text. Third, tinier-sized, oddly compressed JPG, no text. It's as large as the HQ, but the image quality is grainier. Hopefully it's easier to view for any of you 56k'ers. If you'd like to see any of the pics separately and not thrown all together like this, just lemme know.

Heh, very appropriate costume for Makoto, and Meijin should be pleased that someone decided to dress up as him... Razz

Yaito and Tohru have rather obvious costumes, but I honestly can't figure out what Meiru and Dekao are.

And it seems Skullman, Killerman and Pharoahman are collectively going as a bush... Razz

Overall, very nice work., the little mistakes you made are negligable. I mean, you can just pretend Trill is standing on Makoto's doorstep or something...

Thanks guys. Meiru is, well, exactly what she looks like. A large stuffed teddy bear. Just like you always associate the duckies with Yai in the games, for Meiru it's the stuffed bear. And Dekao is dressed as the homonculus Gluttony from Full Metal Alchemist, I just went with random easy to follow associations with these costumes. And that's actually Enzan, not Tohru. Both due to the camouflage pants and what I call the "reverse eggshell." Instead of white, his costume has black hair. I figured Enzan wouldn't be one to put lots of thought into a costume, hence just a sheet with his own hairstyle, only black.

I had multiple ideas for all of them really, but I went with what I could do quicker and easier at my skill level without it looking like pure crap. First I thought about Kingdom Hearts outfits - easy to put 2 and 2 together to figure out Netto=Sora, Meiru=Kairi, Enzan=Riku, short Yai=King Mickey, Dekao=Any fat Heartless/Pete, etc., etc. I thought about making Meiru as Erin Esurance, but our non-US members probably wouldn't know her. I also had an idea of the kids showing up at the Hikari residence with Yuu and Haruka in Rocky Horror Picture Show outfits...supposedly *wink wink*...but that could've gotten too risque, or not enough would get it, so this is what I stuck to.

I really like this new drawing you've made, Rock Miyabi. For a moment I thought it was Tohru with the white costume before I realized it was Enzan. Trill looks very cute and I especially like the facial expressions on Enzan and Netto.

Your art looks really great! I look forward to see more of your work in the future.

i actually saw this on atomic-fire and thought, "I know someone named Rock Miyabi! i thought it was pretty funny that dex was a homunculus. i guessed correctly that enzan was under that sheet too. you have a lot of good work man!

Was gonna edit rather than double post, but then maybe somebody wouldn't have noticed new content. So, posting my wacky contest entries! First up, the larger quality versions of my two entries, Prince Pride and Ivana Cooliski. You want a jetski? No, Ivana Cooliski. My entries have backgrounds, so you can wait to see those when they're posted.

While I was thinking of who to gender swap, I had a song stuck in my head. Without Princess Pride, Laika has fallen in love with Ms. Cooliski. Everyone's new favorite Sharo couple! Behold, the power of 80's supergroup Foreigner! Grab me the Foreigner Belt! Forgive the Double Vision, it's time for me to begin my Head Games. Sing along with karaoke Laika, for Ivana Cooliski is...Cold as Ice.

Here's chibi karaoke Laika alone if you want it. Coldman and Iceman weren't too original in poses, so I'll just post him.

And the return of that hideous thing I didn't use: BrightGirly. "Check 'Em Out!" I don't really plan to finish it. Unless anyone deranged enough wants me to.

What, is this barrage me with requests week? Get in line! Yeah, I can throw something together for ya quick, X-shunin. Or, since I did color that Searchy sorta for you way back, and it is somewhat deformed in size, you can use that if you'd want. Doesn't bother me if anybody wants to use my art in sigs or avys. I take it as a compliment. Asking for permission and giving credit is sorta a rule here, but personally, it really wouldn't bother me if you didn't...well, giving me credit would still be nice. But, if you want a new chibi Searchman in some specific pose, lemme know. I'll get to it sooner or later.

I love what you did with Pride, it's a great idea and well executed as well. I'm not so sure about miss Coolski though...something about her seems a little Narcy-esque. Laughing
