What? I can bark just as easily as I talk.

So we slide in with a nice recap of what's gone down so far (did he say FM planet?)...annnnnnd, Subaru is testing out his Rock-on-ness. "Denpa Hekon! Hoshikawa Subaru! ON AIR!" (It's definitely got an odd ring in comparison to Plug in, Rockman.EXE Transmission)

And apparently Warrock is Speedy Gonzalez's cousin.

At first Subaru's all "NUHHHHZ NOT SO FASST! Oh wait, that's cool! Yay yay!"

And we flash to...Luna in love with Rockman. Joy ><

Then it's Inspector Antenna...Subaru phazing through a train...aaaaannddd..."Tou-san" that means dad, right?

What's this?! Wimpering Mr. Decaf? With luggage? What's he doing? Being scared, that's what. Some conversation I can't understand...

And Subaru being nosy, following Decaf's car. More stuff I can't understand....

And apparently Subaru just hit his head on an imaginary wall. Which turns out to be an assload of Denpa Viruses. Yay more Cards! And a first look at his Rock Buster!

Some insignificant play-by-play by Antenna man... and...Subaru's card, Grenade gun...? Which is like...a short sword...then he's got another grenade gun.....confusing...

Then he lands in a uhhh...far off hilly place. Some conversation and...

WHAT THE HELL?! IS THAT MR. DECAF?! UP ON THAT STEEP HILL?! ABOUT TO JUMP!? HOLY CRAP, HE'S GONNA REALLY DO IT! HE'S JUMPING!!! AAAH! AHHH!!! ROCKMAN, GO SAVE HIM!!!!!!!!

Oh wait, false alarm. He just got some robotic wings...from out of his coat...

Doesn't that look an awful lot like that FM with the wings in the OP?

Oh yeees eet dooz. Because then we got swan FM saying...something...

HAH! I KNEW IT!

I would compare Subaru's catch phrase to: "Synchro-chip, slot in! CROSS FUSION!!!" instead as the principle is closer to the Radio Wave Conversion than Plugging In.

Quite the personality change for Decaf eh? Couldn't quite catch the name though, sounded like Mudatai, Mudagai...something involving ai at the end and a t/d sound in the middle anyway. From hyper nervous he suddenly finds a burst of confidence! Wonder how much of that is due to Cygnus eh?

I'm pretty sure he wanted to sneak off quietly and not run into Amachi, who seems to have at least some authority at Amaken ([spoil:65ed879cb4]Wasn't it JAXA or something in the games according to scans?[/spoil:65ed879cb4]). Oh I'm really starting to like Amachi~

I like the Henka animation as well, it's quite cool although very...Cross Fusion reminiscant.

I think that's the idea.
Mr. Decaf! I like that better than his real name. >XD
So Subaru starts pressing WarRock for answers about his dad, (Tou-san does mean Dad, by the way) and WarRock clams up again by closing the Transer himself.
Must be frustrating. Laughing

So we have Mr. Decaf as well as Mr. Antenna Dude? Uber~

I liked the episode, although I still didn't understand most of it *pouts* I can't remember and of the a words from my dictionary~ Although I did find the Blonde Girl's daydreaming somewhat amusing.

So another virus battle! Whoo! And apparently Subaru can change whether he's physical or data, since he phased through a train and yet in the previous episode he lifted a train. Additionally, Mr. Antenna Dude couldn't see RC Rockman. He had to use his own Transer (?) to track him. If you remember, in the last episode Mr. Antenna was actually able to talk to him.

... This is somewhat like Danny Phantom o_O; with the Ghost World being changed into the Radio Wave world. Subaru's the misunderstood halfa~

I guess Rockman can alter whether or not he's physical or a radio wave...? *shrugs*

You know QW, you could be right with that comparison. Or at least close to right. It sounds pretty good.

I really don't see how Rockman can remind you of Danny Phantom.
Rockman is made of radio waves and is yet Human, so he can switch between being intagible and solid at any given time. Cuz he's made of radio waves and he can do that.

I still have to see this one and 4, but things are looking pretty interesting. Yep, I called Mr. Decaf/Cygnus correctly aright.

I think I'm gonna call 'Rockman' R-Subaru (Radio Subaru), as whenever I think 'Rockman' in this universe, I think of our good ol' Rockman.exe. But I suppose that that means that our EXE characters might never be referenced in Ryuusei, which would be a shame, as (game spoilers?)[spoil:dca3d27150] Netto and Rockman seem to have created the Denpa Net in the game.[/spoil:dca3d27150]

I don't think that's true, Comic X6. Netto and Rockman have absolutely nothing to do with the Ryusei world, as it takes place 200 years in the future, in 22xx, as opposed to the EXE 200x.

How can Rockman (This universe's version) not remind you of Danny Phantom? He goes through objects, flies, shoots stuff out his hand, transforms with a magic saying!

Oh? Let's relate technological process to the ubiquitous battery. They were around for over 200 years, but only fairly recently did they become commonplace. Now, I haven't played through EXE6 yet, but if I recall correctly from what I've read, the game ends in an epilogue [spoil:78543de93f]with Netto grown up, married to Meiru with a newborn son, and working in network research.[/spoil:78543de93f] Assuming that's true, it stands to reason that the Net as it's known in Subaru's time could have ultimately been developed by Netto.

Granted, the games and anime need not overlap, but there is some back-and-forth transfer of ideas. What ComicX6 was saying, as I understood it, is that there exists the potential for reference to Netto and Rockman.EXE in the anime, because the games have a good chance to mention them.

As for your comment about Danny Phantom, I can see how Ryusei would remind some people of Danny Phantom, since a sort of phase-shift ability is prominently featured in both shows. It's not the mechanics that count, it's the effect, and both effects are quite similar.

Take that, Keibou! That's what you get for rushing out of your car and having an antennae light on your head!

Good to see there was a little more to the beginning of the transformation sequence, although not a ton. Still liked it. And I believe he phased right through some people when he went into that skyrail car. Insert Peter Griffin line here. I liked that little rainbow glowy effect after Rockman ran into that wall of viruses. Don't quite get it, but it looked flashy. Fusion coming apart or virus battle warning?

Now I'm beginning to wonder if Mr. Decaf is why Cygnus has somewhat of a human form in the official art that is suspected to be him. Since he just looked like a talking swan with blue flames at the end. Otherwise, he must have that Transformers ability to go from pure beast to beast/human form. Oh Lord, I just made another older cartoon connection to this series, didn't I?

Considering Speedy Gonzales's cousin is "Slowpoke" Gonzalez, I'll have to disagree there. He could be his brother, although I think that falls to the Frito Bandito.

I'm looking to much into this, aren't I?

And I really don't like Inspector Gadget guy.

Cygnus and Mr. Decaf merge together just like Subaru and War-Rock. I heard someone say it was confirmed in an episode summary that appeared in a magazine, and considering Mr. Decaf just flew around with wings at the end of episode 5, and then Cygnus appeared... It's very much more than likely that this is true.

I have watched episode 5 and for me personally this episode was better then the last one. I don't know, they showed us again Rockman's abilities so they did more or less spread that out over two episodes but this time everything just seemed to flow better. A nice episode although I didn't understand much of it.

This episode managed to capture my interest again and I am looking forward to the next one. I am not really fond on Cygnus design but maybe he turns out to be a great villain later on. I also wonder why Warrock doesn't want to talk about Subaru's father. I can understand if Warrock isn't allowed to tell Subaru but the way he avoids the topic is insensitive of him. Did the series give some information why Warrock is being chased or is his background still a secret?

I am glad I wasn't the only one who thought of Danny Phantom when I saw this. I am fan of Danny Phantom and I noticed a lot of similarities as well. (although the later episodes except Kindred Spirits were somewhat disappointing IMHO)

Hm. Tachyon, that's a very compelling argument you have there. It would make sense, but for some reason I doubt it. I think Hoshikawa Daigo had more to do with the formation of the Denpa Sekai than Netto, but that's not to say Netto didn't have any involvement with it.
But why'd you have to point out the Danny Phantom similarities!?!? I know they're there, but I'm just in serious denial!! Laughing

To me, this episode was a little more rushed, perhaps because of all that speeding around. The battle scene was fun, though. And, as Rock Miyabi said, I liked Rockman's prism glowy effects, though I had no idea what they were for. They appeared in the last episode, when Rockman warp-dashed to save Luna, but then, they made sense at that point.
But seriously, the ten minute time slot is KILLING the show.

(By the way, did anyone notice that during the fight scene, WarRock lost some of his fangs?)

Not only missing fangs, but way too often they're coloring his jaw wrong. It's being colored green way too often when it should be blue. -_-;

I didn't notice that. -_-;

It seemed that WarRock and Subaru got into a little argument at the end. Not just about Subaru's father, but about something else. WarRock said something that made him uneasy, forcing him to look away from Subaru. Wonder what it was?

Hah! So I'm not the only one who thought that something was wrong with that animation. I didn't really notice the "poor animation and shading quality" mentioned about earlier episodes, but whenever they make WarRock's head talk, it's glaringly obvious. -_-' If they fix anything about the animation in later episodes, then I really hope that they fix this.
