Ryuusei no Rockman 5 Bark-back (spoilerrrrs)

They do very well when animating him in his normal form, but once he's stuck on Subaru's arm, his mouth movements look awkward. But it's not HORRIBLE. I've seen worse. But, yeah, I think WarRock's animation will improve as the series continues. I wonder if we'll see in his true form outside the transer anymore?

My grounds for my statement about Netto and Rockman was that in the first Coro Coro report of Ryuusei, there was a drawing of Subaru looking up at the sky. In the background were some buildings, and, quite clearly, images of Netto and Rockman. Their images were taken from official art from EXE4 and EXE5, respectively.

I think they're there to show us that Ryusei is the next step in the evolution of the EXE world. Not that they have anything to do with the game/anime.
Yeah. It's pretty much official. Cygnus targets Mr. Decaf as his host in the Human world. It's because they share the same frequency or something. Anyway. Mr. Decaf looks and acts the way he does because his work had been stolen in the past, making him distrustful of his fellow workers at Amaken. Cygnus probably learns about this and plays on it to turn Mr. Decaf against his fellow Humans.
Oh! And you know how WarRock eats the Battle Cards? It's called "Predation." So, Subaru's weapon shout-out is "Battle Card! Predation!"
...

I wouldn't discard the possibility of Netto and Rockman having a connection to the Ryusei world yet. I mean, did X make references to the Classic series? Yes. Did Zero make references to X? Yes. Did ZX make references to Zero? Yes. Why should Ryusei and EXE be any different?

A thought crossed my mind while watching this episode.

Since the villains represent constellations, I can't help but wonder if WarRock himself is also based on a constellation. And if he is, which constellation.

I doubt WarRock is based on any constellations, but in my opinion, the four most likely ones would be Usa Major, Ursa Minor, Canis Major, and Canis Minor, in no particular order.

IMHO, WarRock does not look like a bear (Ursa Major/Minor) or a dog (Canis Major/Minor). The general construct of his head is more similar to a wolf or a big cat than a bear, but his large "mane" is more reminesecnt to a lion, hence, Leo.
And yes, I know there's a transformation resembling a lion already, but that doesn't rule out the possibility that WarRock was made in the image of a lion already.
This is all IMO, of course.

This was a good episode. As what I can tell is that when in wave world they are invisable. I noticed in the past episode that Rockman flashed before he was visable to every one else.

So as what I can tell is that he can pick from being invisable, to being visable. When in wave world fighting virsues hes invisable. When saveing people in the normal world he is visable.

Ha cant wait to see how this effects the game play of Ryuusei no Rockman!

I saw it and without knowing what they say I can't say there was a lot of plot movement besides what happened at the end with the wings on the guy.
It really looks like a bird.

My own thoughts - WarRock is probably not based on a constellation at all, but there's also one called Leo Minor in addition to the two Ursa and two Canis ones. The Pleiades (which Subaru is named after; Subaru is the Japanese name for them) are in Taurus, so that's no help at all.

Mr. Decaf's name is, as near as I can make out, Utagai, which means "suspicion/doubt". I could be interpreting this wrong, though, and they might just be calling him "suspicious guy", but that does sound like what they're calling him.

Seeing Subaru in his Rockman form get dragged around by his hand is highly amusing; the animation does look awkward when WarRock speaks from that position, but he's really just a disembodied head attached to Subaru's arm at that point, so really all he's got to animate is his mouth. If it looks unnatural, it's probably because Subaru's holding him in an unnatural place that the animators aren't used to.

I'm guessing Subaru is ambidextrous because even though we see him do a lot of things with his right hand, he seems to have no problem fighting with his left (since Battle Cards replace WarRock's head thus equipping weapons to his left arm).

Subaru is most likely right-handed, as are most people.

Rockman might or might not be ambidextrous, but definitely has far greater strength, speed, and coordination, making any difference between his arms negligible.

I'm probably going to find it difficult to get used to his buster being an animal's head rather than a cannon this time around. Although, seeing buster shots fly out of War Rock's mouth looked kinda funny.

I also found Subaru's reaction to Mr. Decaf's 'suicide' funny as well. '' It's useless!''

I was taken off guard by Cygnus' form however. I expected him to look more like how he did it the promotional art in one of the Korokoros. I guess that's how he'll look in the anime when he merges with Mr. Decaf. I can't quite remember, did it say that all of the FMs mere with people in the game as well, or is it an anime only thing?

This episode gets the ComicX6 Stamp of Approval.
