So far I really love Ryuusei no Rockman, and I know for a fact the game will come out in the USA (though I'll still be calling it by what I first learned it as. Ryuusei no Rockman), but the true question is. Will they come out with an anime?
Some things I noticed however. In the USA 3 episodes in japan would have to be one full episode. So this means in order to make the first seasion they would have to come out with at least 70 episodes in japan first.
So besides this, does any one think that they will come out with the anime in the us? Even though 4kids cansaled Rockman.EXE (aka NT warrior) because it got to "violent" for kids.. _________________

It would be nice to see yes, but i want to see NT warrior come back on, finish the episodes they skipped in Axess, and continue onwards with Stream, Beast and Beast + first. |

We don't even know how much of a success in which it is right now in Japan. But i agree with the comment above me in which that they should dub the previous exe series. _________________

In a fans point of view I would say yes Dub the rest of the EXE series first.
But if you look at it in a marketing point of view then I would say Dub the Ryuusei series so that it lunches around the same time the game gets released in the US to promote it.
ether way I would be quite happy ^.^ _________________

Well, I believe the average American show lasts around 22 minutes with commercials. Knowing how they could easily hack and splice parts or just replay parts to kill time, I doubt they'd cram 3 episodes into a half-hour if it did get dubbed. Logically, it wouldn't really fit too easily unless it's continued to be paired with Ape Escape (same for Beast Plus) in my opinion. Plus it probably wouldn't come out until the game had been released stateside, and that's still a ways off I believe. So quite a few episodes would have aired by then, depending on how long a series Ryuusei ends up being. They could really do whatever they wanted to call it a "season" here, not with any set number in mind. It would be nice to see eventually, but I too would rather see them finish EXE first. _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

4Kids doesn't dub EXE.
Plus, I don't think violence was the reason Viz stopped dubbing. _________________

Last we heard, Viz stopped dubbing because they're having trouble finding a network to air NT Warrior since the WB converted to the CW. It seems like they got a home at Cartoon Network on Toonami's online Jetstream service, so maybe we're just waiting for them to dub Stream now. _________________

I doubt a dub of Ryuusei no Rockman will ever come out.
First of all, production of the dub has seemingly stopped with Axess.
Secondly, Ryuusei is only approximately 10 minutes per episode. Sure they can splice episodes together, but there are still problems with that. _________________

No one ever expected an Axess dub either, but it happened.
And again, there has been no official announcement that dubbing has stopped, but Viz HAS commented that WB's shift to the CW screwed them up, so they're having trouble locating a new network for the franchise. I believe Ryouko discovered this in response to her questioning on whether or not the new toy line was cancelled.
Furthermore, what are these "problems" you cite? Kids' WB managed to splice together two 20 minute episodes for the dub. What makes you think Viz can't splice together two 10 minute episodes? They're gonna pump out an obnoxiously long intro sequence anyway, which will inevitably fill any left-over time... _________________

Or just do the SMART thing. They COULD fill a ten minute slot with one episode, go to a five minute commercial break, fill another ten minutes with another episode, and finish off with commercials. This is what they did for Transformers and Spider Riders.
Though, in retrospect, neither of those shows did very well.
But it's a thought, and a decent solution to the "splicing" problem. _________________

Transformers has nothing to do with the commercials. It's the network.
But, I hate the idea of five minutes of commercials. That's too freakin' much. |

Spider Riders is a 10-minute program? Huh. I never realized that. _________________

Well, no. Spider Riders wasn't ten minutes long. It was thirty minutes long, with one commercial break after the theme song, one in the middle, and other one after the episode ended (after which they would air the credits). What I'm saying is that if they aired a short theme song (preferably Heart_Wave), go to a short commerical break, air a ten minute episode, go to another commerical break, air another episode, and finish off with a commerical break, it could very well solve the "splicing" problem. Audiences would never know the difference.
If they do it right, that is. _________________

The problem with that is that there aren't many 10-minute shows that US stations would be willing to air. Throwing a 10-minute episode into a schedule full of 30-minute episodes can present a somewhat ugly logistics problem, as it would be a kink in a neat 30-minute-interval lineup.
Edit: Oooh. You're suggesting airing two episodes back-to-back? Not a bad idea. |

If they do do Ryuusei, I'm thinking it would be on JetStream... just because I think they'd do 10 minute episodes. *shrugs* Or, they could splice two episodes together... It wouldn't be that hard, since every episode of RnR starts off right where the last one left off, pretty much. I think what it really comes down to is waiting-and-seeing, though. *shrugs* _________________ This signature is real! |

It's possible. But I like watching the Japanese version more, so it doesn't really matter for me. _________________ Plug in! Rokkuman Eguze! Transmission! |

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I just read from AtomicFire that Megaman Star Force Episodes will be coming out on Toonami Jetstream around July 23 (for those who haven't read already). Plus, there is going to be a 2-hour presentation of MMSF sometime around August on Cartoon Network. Hurt me if I'm wrong, butb that's what I saw on that site. |

July 23th? That is fast. I have no way to see it but I am curious to hear other people's opinions about the dub. I am really hoping that Megaman Starforce will turn out good although the name changes don't really make me optimistic about that.
Thanks for the info, SeijinKage13. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

Problem is that Toonami Jetstream is a Broadband website, so anyone with a Dial-Up connection won't be able to access it... _________________ "There is no coincidence, only Hitsuzen" Yuko, xxxHolic
