It's not a fact, so don't go running to all your friends yelling about how Microsoft is buying Capcom out.

Will it happen? It could. Personally, I don't see it happening... at least not in the near future. I certainly wouldn't enjoy it, though. I'd rather not have to buy an XBox just to follow Rockman. _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

Probably not, seeing as how Capcom is doing most of the MM games on Nintendo DS, and the Wii has possiblities for a very unique styles of games...I think that Capcom will stick with nintendo/I don't want to buy a Xbox... _________________ Salem Paroo, Guardman's roleplay character!

I hope that nintendo pursues the purchase of capcom. i can't think of any games that could come off of this potential new Microsoft/Capcom get together. _________________

ugh, i read this article earlier on today...i definitely don't want microsoft to own capcom. that being said, i seriously don't see capcom going along with it. they have a lot of good games and are doing well right now. i just don't see it. _________________ Avatar by Tabby (of my NetNavi, GuincoolMind.EXE) : : :

if microsoft gets capcom, say goodbye to all the Playstation & Nintnendo games capcom will ever make, I bet you microsoft will make a handheld just so they can say "hey you can play megaman on your microsoft Pocket Xbox" (just some random name i thought up). If microsoft gets capcom, theres going to be rioting, especially if they get rid of all the megaman games for nintendo & sony systems that are in the works & are on the way (Im thinking of IHX2 and any nintendo rockman if they ever make them) |

Anyone at Microsoft remember what happened to Rare? They bought them up, and next thing you know, the quality of Rare's games takes a nosedive. If Microsoft wants to improve its standing, they need to make an honest effort instead of throwing money and authority around.
Could Microsoft buy Capcom. Maybe. Capcom would only go kicking and screaming, so there's only a small chance of it happening. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

Well, I'm not surprised that Microsoft is interested in buying Capcom. They want a monopoly over everything so that they can squeeze as much money out of their customers as possible, after all.
But if Capcom actually sells anytime soon, I'll eat my helmet. From what I've seen, Capcom's one of those companies that actually bother to look at long-term gains and investments, so they wouldn't be so quick to sell out. _________________ Math problems? I doubt they will. That would be too small of a area for the games. Plus I'm not getting a 360 for viewtiful joe 3! (and they will make that game)
But that's not the point. The point is that capcom won't sell. |

No, here's what would happen. Im sure Microsoft will not focus on the Rockman saga one bit, instead focusing on Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and I know for sure another Dead Rising (which wouldn't bother me), but if Microsoft bought out Capcom....im sure we won't see anymore Rockman on the DS or PSP (if it will ever happen again) or even on any other platform ....but if Microsoft did by out Capcom, im sure we will see all the retro Rockman games on the Live Arcade service....bleh... that's my feeling at least on all of this....let's hope this never happens! _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

You know Clover Studios is gone, right?
But yeah. Seeing some Rockman classics on the Live Arcade wouldn't be bad. The achivements would probably be impossible, but I'd buy it. Also, I'm sure Microsoft wouldn't have *total* control over Capcom. It'd be like Bungie. >> _________________ all i ever wanted was the world |

That's not exactly reassuring to some of us you know.
But, considering Capcom is a Japanese company and Microsoft an American this is an unlikely outcome. Not only are they from different countries and would have large issues in communication, Capcom is quite profitable and as pointed out by others, much larger than other companies Microsoft has aqquired.
So I'm not really worried about it. _________________

So? I meant what I said. And Microsoft would never be able to buy capcom. They wouldn't let them do it. |
