Ryuusei no Rockman Episode 7 TalkBack! (Spoilers ahoy!)

Well, this was quite an actiony one. Cygnus Wing laying down some badass attacks, them coppers showing up, More Warrock eating card like candy goodness. All that good stuff and then some. Cygnus Wing flies up and...makes a sattelite go on a crash course...it looks like the Leo sattelite! Is it? I can't tell!

So, Rockman after uberpwning some birdie object thingies that Cygnus Wing threw at him (With some help from Inspector Zenagata Laughing

), he runs up the wave road and encounters Cygnus Wing again. What's this?! A conflict of interest you say?! What be that! Rockman knocks Utagai out of his possessed form and then Cygnus takes over again! Talking that I can't understand! And then...uhh...I think he dies. Or something. Rock shoots the sattelite, a panel falls off...and it completely diverts its crash course towards the sea, and it breaks up into a millyum pieces as it hits the stratosphere. Amaken saved for now, but distress. Is Utagai really gone for good? I mean, if he was knocked out of his transformed form THAT HIGH UP, wouldn't he like...fall to his death?

Oh and we did get a shot of that sentimental moment where Subaru gave Utagai the chocolate.

And if that really was the Leo sattelite, how will this affect the plot? I mean, don't those big ones hold up the entire denpa?

That wasn't the Leo satellite. The Leo satellite is a massive platter-shaped object, whereas this satellite looked a lot like Skylab, and suffered a similar fate.

As for Utagai, in case you haven't noticed, he merged with Cygnus again shortly after being blown out of his merged form, and Cygnus Wing then darted away, leaving Rockman to deal with the satellite.

So, um, since I don't understand Japanese....
Did it look like Utagai was "turning back to the light side" a bit in that last scene with him after the flashback moment? I couldn't really tell..

Not really much more I can say about this episode except,
Hah, so those Ghostbuster vacuums are only really good for paralyzing viruses? Curse those FMs and their superior wave-ness.

Oh, and does anyone know which satallite powers the police's transers? I've noticed it in the past that the symbol on their transers isn't of the three big guys, but is a star-shaped emblem.

And lastly, what is with that same blasted intro after they play Heart Wave? That bloody time waster, ugh! Do they not have anything else to fill up the episode with? (but this one seemed to end okay, for once, so fudge it a little; but no more than a little, since we've seen this thing time and again)

Looks to me like Utagai was possessed by Cygnus. I wonder if that will happen to all other upcoming villain? Looks to me like Rockman is the only guy that does not have the FM took over his human body after merger. Utagai on the other hand, has his body taken over by Cygnus.

That leaves me wondering about one thing, what will happen if Subaru was to be possess by WarRock on day?

Then he'd totally beat the snot out of his annoying friends the next time they try to corner him, that's what!
I don't see WarRock taking any crap from those three goons. He's probably secretly snickering inside of the transer whenever they try to drag Subaru back to school or whatever they do to him. Wink

I'm still an avid supporter of my joint merger theory, however, I think I know a little more to tweak it. Cygnus Wing is Utagai under the evil influence of Cygnus. That's why the real Utagai acted so radically different from Cygnus Wing when he "split" from it.
And...he's still alive. Licking his wounds and plotting revenge. He'll be back...

Uhm... anybody else getting the feeling that [spoil:6663b07b17]this Andromeda is the final boss, and is merged with Subaru's dad? That'd explain why WarRock doesn't want to talk about it and why he knows Subaru's dad, and since the FMs can control the humans that are hosting them... remember in episode 1, when he was hit by that huge wave?[/spoil:6663b07b17]

Another very nice episode with good animation. I really like the design of Cygnus Wing. My favorite moments were in the beginning and the scenes in space between Subaru and Cygnus/Utagai.

It was nice for a change to have an ending without a cliffhanger. I guess this could mean a story part has ended and Cygnus will not be present in the next episodes for a while making room for other characters. I already look forward to the next episode.

I am not sure the inspector sees Rockman as a threat. I have a feeling if he would really see Rockman as a villain he would be more motivated to capture him. Or is he not entirely sure what to think of Rockman? I am sorry for asking, but I don't understand Japanese.

EDIT: Dansidney, to me your theory sounds very believable. It would certainly explain why Warrock doesn't want to talk about Subaru's father yet. I only feel a bit stupid for asking: Who is Andromeda? I think I must have missed something.

First off, [spoil:edfb8cf6c3]Andromeda is some sort of "key" in WarRock's possession, and all the other FMs want it[/spoil:edfb8cf6c3] second, in answer to JH's question, Andromeda is a constellation. In Greek mythology, I believe Andromeda was chained to a rock as a sacrifice for a mythical sea monster, but was rescued by the hero Perseus. :/ And they lived hapily ever after.
I don't think that has anything to do with what WarRock and Cygnus mentioned.

[spoil:b46bfe63b0]According to the previews, Ox will be appearing next week. His FM form is a red humanoid figure, appearing to be made of flames, with a helmet and chest plate. You can tell he is Ox because he has horns and a slight snout (though in the manga, he has a more human face)[/spoil:b46bfe63b0]

About Ox:

[spoil:b46bfe63b0]Gonta and Ox ARE indeed partners and thus, Gonta becomes Ox Fire. In the manga, Gonta is beaten up by bully children and a grown man while attempting to protect some poor puppies. As he is beaten up, the figure of Ox appears and Gonta pleads to Ox for power. Ox gives him this power, turning Gonta into Ox Fire, who then goes on a rampage. Subaru becomes Rockman and manages to defeat Ox Fire with an attack called Rock Buster Kidai Charge. Ox Fire then removes his helmet, seperating Ox from an armored Gonta, who regains control. Afterwards, Ox appears to join War Rock as an ally of sorts.[/spoil:b46bfe63b0]

Don't take the manga as a reliable source, as from what I've heard it's similar to the Rockman Zero manga as far as the overall tone goes.

Andromeda is also the name of the closest spiral galaxy to the Milky Way. Close it relative of course, since it is several million light years away! I'm guessing that Andromeda is some kinda super powerful catalyst that the FMs want for their personal gain, just like Trill and the Zoanoroids. To me, it appears that Cygnus and Taurus were working together in Ryuusei 1, at least as far as pursuing War Rock. After then... who knows.

That wasn't exactly what I meant. The Zero manga deviated heavily from the actual canon, but still retained some elements. What I meant was that while the Ryuusei manga may use the basic elements, it could still go in a completely different direction then the games and or anime. In a nutshell, circumstances will most likely be radically different from other media.

Example: In the anime [spoil:673acb4ff1]Taurus might manipulate Gonta to capture War Rock by praying on his emotions (or through straight out possesion), while in the manga, he begs for power to protect, which seems completely out of character with what we've seen of his behavior so far.[/spoil:673acb4ff1]

I dunno, I could be completely wrong. I guess only time will tell.

I mentioned 'Spiral Galaxy' not 'galaxy'. I am well aware of the nearby dwarf galaxies.
