That's what I said when I first heard about the Talladega Nights thing.... they're not even going to HAVE 500,000 PS3s at launch. At the most, they'll have 400,000 as that was their originally announced number. With the production issues, it could be even less.

I found the first Wii commercial, and it's not that bad.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3rMG4foWC8

I'm not sure if this counts as worthy of double-posting, but the Nintendo Wii has been released!

Was any of you able to get one, or are going to wait?

You can edit posts again you know.

I had no intentions on staying to get one....but I got one last night...er...this morning at a Wal*Mart I had intentions on scoping out for a line. I don't have the cable to hook up to the cable though...I thought the Gamecube cable worked though...so now I ethier use the cables that came with it or wait.

Zelda comes in today, I'm going to ask about the cable...but it doesn't look too good so far.

...Wait, what? There are far too many "cable"s in that statement to make sense. Is there some sort of problem with your Wii's connection cables?

I don't use AV cables. You know, the Red, White, and Yellow ones. I use the one that connects to the cable. But everything's fine now as I'm running it though my VCR.

Well I didn't think I would be enjoying Wii Sports this much Razz setup was easy and I was surprised that you could remove the hatches on the top for the gamecube ports and such. (woot! for zelda tp)

Although this is probably too early to ask, seeing how it's only been out for hours, I'm curious for any kind of gameplay reviews. Is it a super weird adjustment having the controller like a remote? Not really moving it around...heck, I sorta subconsciously move with my controller anyway sometimes, even though I know it doesn't do anything. More how the controller is designed I mean. Any frustrations that you'd rather use the classic controller they made for the older downloadable games instead of the Wiimote? Or is that like a moot point because you can't really use that one on the new games? Anybody break anything swinging the nunchuck around yet?!! Laughing Whenever somebody can pry themselves away in the future, I'd be interested to hear some user feedback rather than biased game mag reviewers.

I found that using the Wii remote was somewhat odd at first. However, I found that I learned the nuances of it quite quickly. It's a new way of doing things, and I'm really enjoying using the Wiimote. I have not broken anything with it yet. :P

The only thing about the Wii that I'm disappointed about is the lack of Japanese-text support... Because I'm such geek, and I actually understand katakana and hiragana. I guess that's a side effect of the system being region-locked.

I loathe Nintendo and the Wii for the sole reason that they made Link right-handed in Twilight Princess.

The only relief I have, however, is that he'll remain left-handed in the Gamecube version and that is enough to satisfy me.

So yeah, I'll just wait for the left-handed version of the game and then get a Wii (I hear the Wii is compatible with Gamecube games). By the time the Gamecube version is out, better Wiis should have been released (after the XBox 360 incident last year, I wait a while before buying a new console).

i think the name of this thread should be "Wii got a realease!!" now, seeing as it was just released yesterday. i'm so excited for Christmas, because i should be getting one then, or soon afterward (during the annual "Spend All Your Christmas Money Time"). i can't wait.

My Wii seems to be very hot....like...I felt it this morning while it had been on standby all night and it was still unusually warm. Thank you for the Miis though Pyo, I'll start making funny ones of people too. Random Mii Attack! XD

my Gamecube was really hot, and it kept overheating. so i bought a fan to cool it off. you might try the same if it keeps overheating.

You know I heard the creator of link uses both hands. And I'd probably turn my Wii off when I go to sleep like I do my computer.

You have a disturbing lack of faith in a Nintendo system. They rarely break and if they do, Nintendo does everything they can to make it right. I've dropped my DS more times than I can count and there's nothing wrong with it. I know Izu has put carts through the wash and other than the sticker peeling off, they're just fine. Even when the DS Lites were having that cracked hinge issue, Nintendo was replacing those systems for people.
Also, you seem to have a really childish reason for "loathing" Nintendo and the Wii. Did Nintendo steal your bike, too? :eyes:

Funny thing about the wiiconnect24, the system is never really off Razz

I wonder if the system even plots our demise while we eat, sleep, leave our homes, or stop using it for a period of time. lol

(Connect24 only activates when connected to the Internet - Update Required)

Pyo, there's nothing wrong with being a proud lefty. Link is one of the very few left-handed video game characters ever created and he's one of the very few icons that makes us shine.

I agree, there's nothing wrong with being proud of your left-handedness. I also don't think what hand a person uses is important in any way. It's not like you're celebrating a culture or ethnic identity. You're left-handed. Other people are right-handed. So what?
Now, there -is- something wrong with hating Nintendo for making Link right-handed to match the control style of the Wii version. Should I be upset that Link was left-handed for all this time? :eyes:
