No. They mostly used them as attacks. But yeah, it is original. |

Okay, I know this is very, VERY late. But I might as well throw in my two yen.
Well, we finally get to see Subaru's henshin. (or FM Wave Change, as it were.) And although it borrows the Cross Fusion background from EXE, it don't look half bad.
Ms. Luna of the Leganchor hair appears again, this time in a cute gym suit. She looks soooo cute fawning over her Rockman-sama. And IMO, Gonta actually looked kinda cool here, without the dumb outift. If he'd've ditched that STUPID headgear, he'd look really cool. But the Max-clone (I keep forgetting his name) looks just as geeky as ever.
The antenna-wearing Zenigata/Inspector Gadget-looking guy comes back, looking just as cool as ever. BTW, if this series ever gets dubbed, and he starts yelling "Stop in the name of the law!" while he's running, I'm gonna laugh SO hard.
I'm not gonna go into detail about that Utagai guy. But I will say that he kinda looks like someone out of a 60s giant robot anime.
But then the Denpa viruses show up, and we get Rockman's very first virus-busting run. (or battle-training, as WarRock calls it.) Did anyone notice that aside from being a big-ass lion-head, the Ryuusei RockBuster looked, fired, and sounded EXACTLY like the EXE Rockbuster? And also that WarRock's eyes lost their pupils while he was firing?
We get some more Battle Card-chomping goodness, and for the first time, we get to see Rockman's sword skills. IMO, he's NOWHERE near as good with a sword as the EXE Rockman. (I think we all remember how Rockman tore it up with the Sword chip in the early eps of the first season of RockmanEXE) But hopefully, Subaru'll get better with time.
And the entire time, the Zenigata/Inspector Gadget-dude is watching the battle on his Transer, and wondering what in the hoo-hah is going on.
BTW, those motorcycle viruses kick ass, IMO.
Then there was the whole "OMG HE'S GONNA JUMP.....oh, wait, he's just testing out that glider thingy."
Swan-looking FM Alien at the end....muy mysterioso.
Looks to me that the Ryuusei anime is picking up, bit by bit. Not bad for an anime that came out before the game.

I guess his eyes roll back into his head when he's firing. :/ Kinda like a Great White shark rolls its eyes back when it attacks to protect its eyes. Maybe for the same reason? :/
