Ryuusei no Rockman Episode 9 (Spoilers!)

Okay, this time we've got a real fight

First a flashback of Gonta's Denpa Henkan. At least it isn't yet another explanation of the Ryuusei universe.

Then we see a little scene with Inspector Zenigata looking for Rockman, and gets an emergency call to the school.

Subaru does Denpa Henkan. Ox Fire says "You're Denpa Henkan WarRock", and WarRock replies "Wrong, not WarRock, Rockman!".

Subaru asks about Gonta, and WarRock does a scanning thing with his eyes. WarRock explains how Denpa Henkan powers up Ox Fire, and the way to save Gonta is to defeat him. Subaru challenges Ox Fire to a duel.

Ox Fire charges around the arena, and Rockman evades his attacks. Luna and Kizamaro runs around saying "What's going on?".

There's some more fighting, then Rockman notices he is right between Luna and Ox Fire. He blocks the next attack with a sword (because evading would cause harm to Luna), which causes interference so that they appear in the real world.

Ox Fire kidnaps Luna, and starts climbing the side of the school (at which point the Inspector Zenigata arrives at the scene). The fight goes becomes worse for Rockman. Meanwhile, Luna complains loudly while in the grips of Ox Fire.

Luna awakens Gonta inside of Ox Fire. Rockman takes this chance to rescue Luna. Then, he defeats Ox Fire and the Gonta's Denpa Henkan breaks. Gonta doesn't remember anything.

Inspector Zenigata then approachs Rockman, and Rockman escapes.

The whole incident comes full circle as WarRock starts complaining again.

That was a funny episode, Kizomaru and Luna running around for their lives XD Luna's not concerned enough about her own life that she's all "Rockman-sama! :DDD"

Eh... they already did a King Kong reference back in Axess with Gutsman and the knock-off E-Reader thing. Not a bad episode. I love when the series does the "shaky cam" effect. It really makes fights look a lot cooler.

YES!! That explanation intro is finally gone!

Ah, Ox Fire. So lame and so cool at the same time. I really like his little flame snort effects coming out of all those parts of his armor. But at the same time, some of that charging at Rockman animation made ya wonder how hard it really would be to dodge that. Merged, he's cooler than Gonta, though.

After King Kong climbed the school and the next fight started, all I have to say is I have a new fave BG song. 'Bout time we got some new good guitar riffs! Wait, did I see that right? Is there a swimming pool on top of the school? In my high school, the traditional senior 'tease the gullable freshman' thing was telling them there was a swimming pool on the roof. That would be so awesome in real life. I bet it was more of a garden here by the looks of things during the fight, but when the view pulls back to the entire aerial view, it sorta looked more like a swimming pool. That was really random to bring up, wasn't it?

Pretty good episode, artistically enjoyable and new music. Hurrah!

right at the very end of the episode.

Please tell me that I'm wrong...that I'm just hearing things...that 've been watching too much Naruto...or he's calling Subaru an idiot...

I loved the animation in the battle however.

Yup, WarRock said "tebayo" at the end. Now that could be the contraction or means "You chicken wing!". I like the latter, personally, even if it is wrong.

@ Sketch: I got bored in math class. in other words I made it. I took a screencap, reoutlined Subaru, recoloured him with brighter colours, kept the original background and voila! I also added a little more shading however, I'm working on a second one.

I can always post them as I make them if you wish.

I don't really know about Ox Fire, he did flee Gonta's body and WarRock yelled at him, I don't think he is an ally quite yet.

...Ox is the FM Seijin, Ox Fire is the Denpa Ningen. The two names aren't interchanggable please......

Manga Spoilers: [spoil:cd22494177]Ox does indeed become an ally in the second chapter after Rockman defeats Ox Fire with the Rock Buster Kidai Charge. He becomes overly emotional by Gonta's display of wanting to be a superhero. He then spends a rather humorous moment with War Rock beside a river.[/spoil:cd22494177]

From next week: Misora-chan is a cutie.

The name of the keibu/inspector is Heiji. (Full name: Goyoda Heiji) This has been known for a long time. >.>

I think he just flew away for now. Not quite an ally yet. They probably want Misora to be Subaru's sole ally at first. He'll be back most certainly though.

I personally have this feeling that Ox will find someone else with the same frequency as him and fuse with them.

These past two episodes have definitely shown that the parallels between Ryuusei and EXE.
- Subaru is obviously like Netto, only worse (he actually skips school)
- Luna obviously seems to have a thing for Subaru, just as Meiru did for Netto
- Gonta is clearly a parallel of Dekao in nearly every way
- (unconfirmed for me) Kizamaro seems to act like a know-it-all, kinda like yaito

I don't know. IMHO:

-Subaru to me seems like he's a little more intelligent than Netto, but is just antisocial.
-Luna may have a thing for Rockman but I don't know how she feels about Subaru. I'm keeping my eyes open for other pairings. Like maybe [spoil:efb2475529]Misora-chanxSubaru[/spoil:efb2475529]. I think that one might make more sense.
-Luna strikes me more as the Yaito type. Kizamaru just looks like a nerd. :/ He's too wimpy to be compared to big-mouthed Yaito-chan.
-I totally agree that Gonta is Dekao's twin in just about every way. :]

Good grief, OxFire is frickin' huge if he can carry Luna in just one hand! :O

I didn't mean Subaru being worse than Netto in terms of how well he does in school. It's the fact that he actually skips school whereas Netto just does poorly but actually attends classes. And the Luna & Subaru thing was based on what happened in the previous episode.

Subaru X Luna = no way. Luna's just paying attention to Subaru because she's class president and it's her job to watch over the "special" students...in this case...Subaru the delinquent.

Subaru X Misora = I can eaaaassily see that one.

Kizamaro and Luna...if you tossed the two into a blender...then perhaps you could end up with Yaito. :]

It was a good episode, I liked all the running around that Luna and Kizamaro did.

However on the subject of pairings I think [spoil:cf43bb761b]SubaruXMisora[/spoil:cf43bb761b] is more likely, and here is my reasoning [spoil:cf43bb761b]Subaru and WarRock are the heros. As of now Luna just likes Rockman, she doesn't seem to have the same feelings for Subaru. However bassed on the tab of the Ryuusei game site, Misora is all by herself under the heading Heroine, so she is the heroine, rock is the hero, hmm sounds like a likely pairing to me.[/spoil:cf43bb761b]

Maybe we'll get to see something like the Jasmine Netto Meiru triangle again in Ryuusei. Though I think Subaru would notice it, where as Netto seemed to be completely clueless.

Well, this was a nice episode. Now it makes sense that the combatants are directly affecting real world objects, seeing as both parties involved have converted. I'll agree that the handheld camera effect was nifty when Ox Fire was using his charge attack. It really made it seem much more powerful, y'know? I did think the King Kong reference was a bit much though. As for Ox, he'll be back, I'm sure of it. This isn't Stream or Beast... I hope.

As long as pairings are considered, I'm thinking that it'll be Subaru x Misora as well... It's fairly obvious that she's this series's Meiru, and (GAME SPOILERS!!) [spoil:b059702b2b] Her mother apparently died. She has no mom, Subaru has no dad... Hmm... Could it be any more obvious Capcom?[/spoil:b059702b2b]
