...

So...any particular reason why you quadruple posted several minutes apart?

No, wait. Don't answer that. This is your warning never to do it again. >_>

What your friends say is 'fun' directly goes against the rules. Double, triple, quadruple, etc. posting is not allowed.

Count this as your final warning.

Playing Team of Protoman on Mega Man Battle Network 5 Double Team DS (Us version)

and I can't find many copies of battlechips like:
Astroid3 C ( Got Only P version)
AreaGrab *
Timpani *
CactBall3 L ( Got Only M & N versions )

I try to make Program Advances and some Renowned Folder but without them it seems a bit difficult.

And is there a way to meet LarkMan, GridMan, Meddy and non elemental Navis rapidly in omega versions? (to get Sp chips)

I know OilBody,Fish, Jungle, Battery for NapalmMan, CloudMan and MagnetMan but for the others, I don't know how to do apart from battle infinitely...

Let's start from the top.

Asteroid3 C, I believe, is in the Undernet. I do not recall exactly which area, but you can wander around and S-rank the respective viruses for the chip. The same goes for the CactusBall. If you keep getting those chips, perhaps you need to bust them at a different rank.

Good luck in getting AreaGrab * and Timpani *. To the best of my knowledge, those chips only come from the Chip Traders, and they are notoriously stingy.

For non-elemental navis, as well as many others, you have but two options as a Team of Blues player--Forte, and SearchChaos. The former strategy requires that you have the chip, draw it early, have a x2 multiplier and almost every attack booster imaginable on the chip. The latter strategy requires you to confine the enemy to the back rank, charge it up, and let the DarkCircgun fly. Both strategies are quite effective. Pick the one that is more feasible for you.

For the non-elemental aligned navis, you have to resort to SneakRun. That filters out all the other virus battles and restricts the pool to just navi encounters.

Well I did get an S rank on knightman by using an all breaking folder and knight soul. But here's another important question I have. Does Super Amour still work like it does in EXE6??? You know where if you get hit it doesn't take anything from your ranking???

(P.S. Sorry for the double post)

Super Armour isn't the thing that affects your ranking. As far as I know, it is possible for you to get an S-rank NO MATTER THE DAMAGE YOU RECEIVE as long as you defeat the navis under a certain time limits. In EXE5, it is 30 seconds, if I remember correctly.

The only place that getting hit counts is virus battles. But I wouldn't recommend getting hit anyway. XD

That's actually not completely accurate.

Getting hit in ANY combat will cause your potential rank to decrease. If I recall correctly, no hits is worth +1 to your rank, and each subsequent hit is worth -1 up to a total of -3. SuperArmor negates these penalties.

The 30-second thing for navis is no accident--finishing in less than that yields 9 points towards rank. After that, the points drop to 5 over a minute or so, and no amount of bonuses can ever get the rank back up to 11+.

Ok now I need a lot of help S ranking Tamahawkman. I tried an all fire folder like I did with knightman (By which I mean that one was all breaking) but I can't get higher than a level 7 (I usally get around 40-44 seconds on him) Help???

1) Fastgauge as regular. By activating that at time zero, you have about...seven turns, give or take, to defeat the navi in less than 30 seconds. This assumes that you do not dally around at the end of turns and go to Custom as soon as the bar fills.

2) SuperArmor. You cannot forfeit points on rank due to getting hit, which pretty much guarantees an S or 10 if you finish in less than 30 seconds.

3) If an all-Fire folder does not work, perhaps you should stick with the strategy for regular navis. I'm not sure what that entails for ToC, though. That may work better.

4) Glitch the Humor program. This can shuffle Rock's emotions, and give you a nice x2 multiplier at times. Beware, though, as this is a double-edged sword--you can get Worried state, and that may completely mess up your strategy if it is dependent on a Soul or Chaos Unison.

Thanks a lot Midnight!
Can you just tell me where can I find Blinder * too?
Chip Traders too? Which one? 3 or 10 ones?

Blinder * is rarely found in the 10 Chip Traders. The one on Oran Isle reportedly gives them out the most, but it is still really rare.

Indeed.

Put it this way--I can make a conservative estimate that I have put over 2500 chips in the Oran Trader and I haven't found a single copy of the elusive AreaGrab * or Blinder *.

Blinder readily comes in H code, but that's pretty bad unless you're willing to break fluidity for just those chips, which I do not recommend.

Well I'm doing good... but like the usual pattern, my steady progress came to a complete halt, I'm having troubles deleting omega versions of Napalmman, Protoman, Searchman, Meddy, and s-ranking, i can delete in 9-10 but I always seem to miss S ranking, I usually use a combination of 2 areagrabs or metgels and then I use Chaossearchsould so if landed right I het them 3 times with 300 dmg each totally 900 or at least twice for 600 damage. BUt I always get the same s-rankless outcome... and its getting kinda annoying. If I'm not using the Chaos Search soul, I'm using the Protosoul, obviously Drk, however my megaman has had no influence... aside form plot-lined influence, of Dchips, I only use Chaos unisons. My usual deletion time ranges from 26-40 45 at max. My folder is mainly S-based chips with 2 advances an STU and QRS advance. So basically what I'm saying is, is there anything I should be switching here? I tried using a balanced folder, that just made my rank worse, I've only found the all-out offensive to be great. i have a glitch SPRarmor program to make megaman jump, and crack panels, with a Custom+2, undrsht, and attack and charge max. So any pointers or whatnot?

What you need are unicode program advances. Here is my recommendation:

1 x AirShot *
4 x Pulsar3 S
3 x Katana1 S
1 x FullCustom * (Pre-set. Choose one.)
3 x Recov80 *
2 x AreaGrab S
1 x FastGuage * (Pre-set. Preferred)
1 x SearchmanSP S (Not mandatory, but nice to have)
1 x ShademanSP S
1 x ShademanDS S
1 x LarkManSP S
1 x LarkManDS S
1 x DeltaRay Z
1 x DarkCirc R

That's not a complete folder, but for my recommendation, those chips are a must have. This chipset focuses on two program advances: BigNoise and WildBird.
At the beginning of the battle, use your pre-set chip IMMEDIATELY. Preferably, FastGuage because you'll be able to get at least two sets of chips to choose from.
Then, hopefully, you'll have at least one AreaSteal, a Pulsar3, and DarkCirc. Use the AreaSteal, then spam the charge shot from ChaosSearchSoul at least twice (time it right) before the custom gauge fillls (IMPORTANT!) while making sure that the charge shots dealt double damage each time (cursor should be on the navi when firing). You don't need the Pulsar3 right now, but it's nice to have in case you want to counter the navi (doubt that'll be possible within the time frame) and fire, or to increase your chances of having a
Now this is where you rely on luck some more. Hopefully, you'll have at least one of these sets of chips available:

1 Pulsar3
1 BigNoise

1 Pulsar3
1 WildBird

1 AirShot
1 DeltaRay
Since you're in ChaosSearchSoul, you should be able to shuffle through to increase your chances of winning. Keep in mind that your folder should be almost as unicoded as possible except for the chips I listed above. And a SearchmanSP, or ShademanSP chip is nice too.
Then, all you have to do is to COUNTER the navi with the Pulsar or AirShot, and hit him/her with the PA or DeltaRay *BEFORE THE CUSTOM GUAGE FILLS*. If the custom gauge fills, then time's up and you're at a busting level 10 at best.
My calculations indicate that if you succeed:
First Turn + Second Turn
2 * 600 + 110 + 2 * (400 or 600 or 840) = 2110 or 2510 or 2990
That's just one strategy you could use with that folder, but it's the most simple and direct. You could have variations where you start off with Full Synchro + PAs and then lob ChaosSearchSoul shots, but that'll be more complicated and you'll probably run out of time before you delete the navi.

That's probably not the best strategy in the world seeing as how it depends on a lot of luck (then again, so does the glitched Humour NCP strategy too), but that's what helped me S-rank all of the omega navis except Napalmman and Gridman (AreaSteal + ChaosSearchSoul doesn't work). I'm sure the more skilled individuals will give you better advice, but give that one a try. I'd go after Meddy and Searchman first because they're the easiest to delete. Go after Protoman after you get at least the SearchmanSP chip because he jumps around too much for his own good.

[ A ] [ A ] [ A ] [ A ]
[ S ]
[ A ] [ A ] [ A ] [ S ] [ S ]
[ B ] [ U ] [ C ] [ C ] [ S ]
[ B ] [ M ] [ C ] [ C ] [ C ]
[ B ] [ M ] [ M ] [ C ] [ C ]

Yellow A = AttackMax
Red S = SuperArmor
Black B = BugStop
White U = UnderShirt
Grey M = ChargeMax
Blue C = Custom2

You'll definitely need at least one Custom2 NCP in your NaviCust like I do over there so that you'll have higher chances of getting the chips you need. Don't forget to use LocEnemy on the navi!! After you do, save, and restart as many times as you need. =D
