To be honest I think all of the animes that I know are the best
*thinks* I think that Cardcaptor Sakura is great! _________________

Trinity Blood, s-CRY-ed, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Full Metal Alchemist, and Inuyasha. They are by far the best anime I've seen, and I can't put a heirarchy onto them, they all tie up and number one. |

Gundam Wing is a personal favorite, even if it isn't the best. It was the first show that had me go OST hunting, and I can proudly say that Just Communication was the very first Japanese song I ever listened to. Funny thing is, I haven't watched the whole thing yet *eyes the GW folder on her computer*
What I like about it so far is that the characters aren't flat. Even Relena, obsessed stalker chick that she is, has her nice side, and also has her demons. All of the flat characters die pretty quickly :D
The animation isn't as good as I'd like, but the fight scenes are okay, and who can say no to a giant robot?
I also like Digimon. Yes, Digimon. First anime I ever watched, and even then I was an obsessed Ken fangirl :D And the plot of the first season was okay, very nicely done. Season 2 had plenty of plotholes though. Season three took a while to get used to x_x and Season four is my absolute favorite. *hugs her Kouji and Kouichi plushies*
I also love FMA. It has a great story, beautiful characters, and Ed cracks me up.
Another good anime is Weiss Kruez. The anime is shady at times, and Weiss has its own plotholes (Namely: Nagi. The kid can't die!) but the characters are very deep and developed. They all have their own reasons for doing what they do, and they don't pretend to be the good guys either. The plot is also very interesting as far as the second half of the series goes. The first season is good as well, but the second season is better :D
The running joke for the Weiss fandom is that all the blood that was supposed to be in the anime got saved for the OVA. And it seems to be true, too. The OVA has better animation than the series and a confusing and engaging plot. I wanted to go kick some mik'ta towards the end >
And then we have Weiss Kreuz Gluhen. The animation is infinitely better than the previous series, although the main characters recieved a makeover due to legal issues. I personally think that they stole a few ideas from Gundam Wing. Read: Aya's braid and Nagi's hairstyle. The plotline is highly confusing and unravels itself as the series progresses over its thirteen episodes, and I stopped at episode 11 so I don't know how it ends! Go me.
Anyway, that's just what I think. _________________ Avatar made by me in paint. Whoo

Personnaly, the best anime I've seen so far is Jigoku Shoujo : an awesome anime in a realistic background (Japan in our days) with a story related to hell and curses, it's sometimes very sad because each episode deals about someone who is in a very difficult situation and have a hatred to a certain person, so the scenario doesn't have a logical order (except last 4 episodes of season 1)
Plus, it's not licensed (... I think, but it's not in Europe)
I also love Naruto, but ONLY in original version, all the other ones are crap. _________________

I just saw Devilman, and wow is it graphic. Cool storyline and such, but definately for mature audiences only. There's a bit of nudity and certainly tons of violence. Seriously, if you thought Ninja Gaiden was filled with excessive blood and violence, - and I'm not joking here - Devilman makes Ninja Gaiden look sane!
So yeah, if you like excessive brutality, watch Devilman. _________________ War may not be the right answer, but when you're in one, ending it effectively and with positive results is a must. Vote John McCain for U.S. President.

Cowboy Bebop is the only series I ever found memorable and for the same reasons previously posted in justification - philosophy, music, etc. Though I have become quite partial to Lupin III. |

Uh, let's see...my favorite animés are FMA, Welcome to NHK! (or just NHK), and Doraemon.
But in my opinion, the best animés ever are Crayon Shin Chan, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, and ERGO PROXY.

These are some pretty good looking choices. I have to go with Welcome to the NHK, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Nurse Witch Komugi-chan. The first two animes are there because of their story lines, I've never seen anything like these two in any other anime, and all of them have great characters, hilarious jokes, great animation, and amazing appeal. But what goes down as the Best anime of all time for me would have to be... The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's got action, a corny movie made with cheap special effects that will make you laugh so hard (fire crakers at school, hilairious.), drama, a brigade, enthusism, mystery, galatic warfare, sci-fi, a hint of gore, fanservice, a talking cat (They never did explain that, did they?), humor, baseball, words with deep meaning, high school antics, one crazy opening, one humorous ending, fools in love, and an ending to the series that takes place somewhere near the beginning, wrap it up with the show's awesome cast of characters and perplexing storyline and you get an anime that I can watch over and over again (and one more time to try and play the episodes in the right order). _________________ :stonecube: :stonecube: :stonecube:

Florina? Starone?
THANK YOU!
"Well I guess my choice will have to be Ruroni Kenshin. I just loved how they would yell out there techniques beforehand."
"...I'd choose the Rurouni Kenshin anime..."
Rurouni Kenshin kicks all. It's the truth. It's funny, it's awesome, it has everything an anime can need! altough the manga of it wasn't quite as good, regardless of the fact that it came first. :/ _________________ Stop looking at my sig. 1- Cardcaptor sakura
2- Sailor Moon
3- Maburaho
4- Galaxy Angel
5- and a couple other that i've only seen a few episodes of (fullmetal alchemist, and chrono crusade)
In my opinion, i guess all of these are fun to watch, especially #s 4 and 1. _________________

I'm going to have to go with Hikaru no Go as my all time favorite anime. Other animes come and go, but whenever I look back at everything I've watched, nothing else quite stays with me as much as Hikaru no Go. It's got a good solid story, the supporting characters are well thought out, and (aside from the ghost hauting the main character) the character interactions are really believable, right down to the mother who will never really understand her son's obsession with "Go"
I think my favorite part about the anime (and manga) is that you see Hikaru, the main character, grow up and evolve (along with the supporting characters). No other character from an anime has gotten me on the same emotional level. _________________

Close race between Blue Gender and Evangelion for pure script goodness,
Samurai Champloo for animation quality, ranma 1/2 just because it made me laugh my ass off;
And Im sure that if I ever invested into Cowboy bebop it would be up with Bg and Eva as well. |

Well, I've already posted my favorites, but the two best anime series ever are Cowboy Bebop and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yutsu. _________________
