Ryuusei Manga: Chapter 2 Summary (Spoilers)

I'd link you to the Ch 1 thread, but seeing as you found this thread, you obviously have to know how to read, and thus you should be able to find the Ch 1 thread on your own.

Rockman stands on top of a large satellite antenna structure as he stares into the sky. All of a sudden, he turns around and brandishes his left arm before himself: War Rock is preparing a blast!!! Is he going to blow up the antenna? Nope, more like using the blast to send Rockman into the sky. Rockman travels higher and higher, using the Rock Buster to propel himself at great speeds. As he ascends, he says to himself, "Tou-san" (father). Looks like he wants to get into space.

...except the Denpa Henkan breaks. Subaru and Rock seperate as Subaru falls from the sky...and into a lake. A voice is heard. It's Gonta, standing on a bridge over the lake!!! He thinks he's a super hero!!! (he's even wearing a cape) He jumps into the lake, hoping to save Subaru from possibly drowning, screaming "Ushijima GONTAMAN!!!" Too bad, he lands on Subaru. So much for saving the day.

The two boys sit on the shore, drying their clothes as Gonta talks of being a super hero, just like Rockman. Suddenly a cry is heard. Over by the bridge, three little children are beating a poor puppy with bats. Poor thing!!1 Suddenly Gonta shows up (in his underwear) to defend the puppy. One of the children strikes at Gonta with his bat. Gonta responds, taking the bat and bending it. Frightened, the children flee as the puppy leaps and smothers his hero with licks and puppy glomps.

Subaru is rather astonished. Wanting to be physically strong as well, he immediately starts working out, dragging a tire in circles. Suddenly someone strikes Gonta down with a bat. It's a grown man, who the three children refer to as their "nii-chan". With Gonta taken down, the children resume their abuse of the puppy. Gonta, having been discarded, wakes up to find that the puppy has been captured once more. He suddenly cries, wishing out loud for more power. A voice responds, saying his wish will come true. It's Ox!!!

A cry is heard. Subaru rushes to the scene to find a giant figure holding up the grown man. Ox Fire!!! Ox Fire prepares to snap the head off the man when suddenly another figure snatches the man from Ox Fire's grip. Denpa Henkan! Hoshikawa Subaru, On Air!!!

Ox Fire turns and tells Rockman that he is in the way. Immediately he charges with a punch to strike at Rockman. Rockman responds with the Rock Buster, but Ox Fire assumes a defense curl, causing the shots to have little effect. Ox Fire charges once more, punching Rockman square in the face. Rockman gets sent flying into the bridge, landing next to the puppy. Rockman then stands up and attempts to speak to Gonta, reminding him of his little friend present with them. Gonta hears him! Rockman, seeing that his words are reaching his friend, continues, pleading for him to resist the FM Seijin controlling him, calling him by his superhero alias, Gontaman.

Ox Fire has heard enough. He reaches for his horns...and tears his head off!!! Actually, he just removed his helmet. Gonta shows his face, and the helmet suddenly changes into the essense of Ox. However, Ox takes his fists and and slams them into Gonta's skull as he attempts to retake control. Rock speaks to Subaru, saying that this is their only chance. Rock Buster Saidai Charge!!! Rockman fires a massive blast at Ox, completely seperating him from Gonta and breaking down the rest of the Ox Fire armor on Gonta.

The blast clears and Ox still stands...but he admits defeat. All of a sudden the puppy rushes foward and leaps. He wants to lick Ox....awwww. Ox is getting extremely emotional and begins to cry! He bows to Rockman!

After the battle, Subaru rests on the shore with a tired and sleeping Gonta, and his newfound furry friend. Nearby, War Rock and Ox speak to one another while eating Senbe. It is decided: Ox will be an ally to Subaru and War Rock!!!

Wow... This really is a children's manga.

Ox decides to flip-flop just because a puppy licked him?

Pretty much, along with Gonta's whole desire to be a hero. Ox seriously starts crying a river.

(I just noticed. If you downloaded the manga scans and looked at page 7, you'll see that Rock is picking his nose while poking his head out of the transer... XD XD XD)

It's not exactly like the Rockman EXE Manga was dead serious and completely adult targeted either. Less so than Ryuusei I'll freely admit but it could be quite kiddish as well.

With luck, the subbed version of chapter 2 will be released tomorrow and we'll start on Chapter 1 as soon as someone volunteers some scans as well as Chapter 3 once I am able to obtain this month's CoroCoro.

Sorry to double post but scratch what I said. I forgot that I would be busy writing up guides for Ryuusei no Rockman since the game just released. Oops. ^^

I'm going to delay this release for a day or two so that more people can take a look at the translations made as well as finish the cover/credit artwork.
