Ryuusei no Rockman Discussion! *Spoilers lurk here*

Though Warlock seems odd right now, I believe it is tentative. I think everything about the english version is probably tentative right now. Since the english promo was the same as the Japanese promo just translated.

So the english games could wind up having names that make more sense then Warlock wanting to be called Mega.

As for the name, sure Magaman: Meteor, or Megaman Star Network, or wave network would be expected, Star Force, as lame as it is since they are using the equivilents of the souls/crosses as part of the title. Sure something like Megaman: Beast-Out would obviously be an odd game title, Megaman Star Force still seems to have a game feel to the name, though doesn't exactly fit the game.

The name Mega Man Star Force reminds me of Power Rangers.

I'm just gonna keep calling it Ryuusei.

I bet that Crapcom of America is going to change Warlock into Warmega or Mega. In few first trailers of Megaman ZX, we also had "Rock-ON" and "Irregulars", but it was later changed into normal Crapcomish names, so I think they'll do the same thing to Star Force.
Yep, you're right Pyroman. Star Force definitely fits to Power Rangers :D

Personally, I like the name Star Force. I was hoping they'd name it Megaman Galaxy Network, but Star Force is okay. Trust me, they could've done a LOT worse.

And IMO, WarMega actually has a nice ring to it.

BTW, I know this is jumping WAAAAAY ahead, but wouldn't it be cool if a few years down the road, we got a Ryuusei no Rockman x.5 with a Battle Card Gate? (and maybe a special Transer wrist holder for the DS?)

After seeing the Anime I reallllllllllly hope they don't make Luna into a Meiru-like person. I hope it falls to the Guitar Girl.

And...Warlock seems to be a very odd thing for CoA to do. I hope they don't call him "Lockman"

Well I along the same lines as Warlock which is what the current tentative name for War-Rock's english name, is Mage, which is an anagram of Mega, so for some reason I could see Capcom calling WarRock mage, and then having him still be Megaman. But thats just my opinion.

So just to say something... lotta spoilers about the game and the way it plays, so I'm putting a spoil mark.

[spoil:50c3ac59e9]Looks like, unlike the anime, we battle against Ox Fire before Cygnus. The game is a really spiritual EXE game, and some minigame-like tricks were added, akin to the EXE puzzle-like scenarios in which you needed to go through some minigame-like parts to reach the boss.

Also, you can turn your glasses on and off at will everywhere! You see the whole wave road and you can access to it through some wave whirlwinds spots on the ground. You can access devices only when you're on the wave road already, you see a small whirlwind you can access to, you reach a dead end or a large spot on the wave road, touch the spot with the stylus and you're warped in the device, or enter other areas (like your and other people's homes!).

The battlecards are MUCH better than the latest games EXE chips (charging chip attacks were annoying IMO) and if you counter an attack, you don't gain a power boost but rather an EXTRA random battle card from your deck. There's no code system for battlecards, and it's actually different how to perform combos. You can set six cards as your favorite, and standard battle cards seem to come in 2 colors: yellow and silver. During battle, the "custom screen" is different: you have three columns, each containing two cards, and you can only select cards from the same column or the same battlecards. Silver cards can be always selected, support cards like +10 and grassstage come always in silver, and your 6 favorite cards are turned in silver even if they weren't.

Subaru's sprite without glasses has the most disgrunted look on his face. Ever. XD Luckily he's that way for only... 30 seconds. Luckily. >_> Denpa Henkan sequence is a little disappointing though, hoped for some cool transformation scene, why not, maybe an animesque sequence... but hey, there's hoping for Ryuusei no Rockman 2, right?[/spoil:50c3ac59e9]

This game is well worth the name of successor of the EXE series. :]

is this out in japan? I haven't been reading the rest of the thread but nevermind that, if it hasn't or it has in Japan then any Idea when it'll come to the states? has capcom said anything? It would be really cool if you meet rockman.exe in this, netto would problably be dead.......

More details on that:

As long as someone in your brother band is a member of a different satellite, you can use the Star Force from that satellite.

Basically, it'll work like this. Let's say I have a four brothers from my own satellite (Dragon) and one brother from Pegasus. When Star Force appears in my custom screen (The Dragon symbol), when selecting it, I will then be given a choice of Green Dragon or Ice Pegasus. I then choose between the two.

As for why your own version seems to be dominant...

1) It the one associated with Best Combo
2) It is associated with Legend Force (though I don't know what Legend Force does yet)

As for Green Dragon's ability, I <3 it. You can select across rows OR columns. :]

Not too sure on Ice Pegasus' pursuit ability as I haven't used it.

yeah it seems kinda dissapointing that there isn't more differences than the Legand Force, and GX cards. Doesn't really seem to offer much of a reason for there to be 3 versions but ohwell. Who knows maybe the slot in will get you something different in each version.

for example with exe 6 in the W slot, and Pegasus in the DS slot, you get say, I don't know, maybe a War Rock status card, where as in Leo you get a War Rock buster card maybe? That's the only thing I can currently think of for a possible difference other than the legend force and GX cards

man i have to get me a ds or im gunna be stuck playing my brothers i cant believe this game came out already it was so fast, its gunna be awhile until it comes out to the U.S hope its worth the wait
