|

Okay, kicking things off......
Some dude looks pissed at a statue for some reason.
Then we cut to Rockman out on a standard nightly virus hunt. He's got the little bastards on the run, but one of them falls off the Wave Road, falls on top of the dude pissed at the statue, and....
DENPA HENKAN WITH A VIRUS?! WTF?
This, however goes unnoticed by Subaru, who, upon finishing up his virus hunt, gets caught by Inspector Goyoda. Goyoda grills him for a bit, Subaru makes up an excuse and runs off.
Next day, our hero is being tailed by Goyoda, who seems to have brought a bazillion juice boxes with him. How he fit all of those in his coat, I'd like to know.
After school, Subaru's still being tailed by Goyoda. He's trying to play it cool and act natural, but WarRock, for some stupid reason, decides to bolt, and drags Subaru in every God-forsaken direction, with Goyoda hot on his heels. When he was driving on top of the guardrail, I almost died.
Meanwhile, Luna-tachi are checking out some paintings at the museum, when the Human Virus attacks. Subaru heads to the scene, but is quickly intercepted by Goyoda, who locks him in the squad car for what I assume is his own safety. And to make matters worse, Subaru can't perform Denpa Henkan becuase of what I think is a jamming device built into the car.
Goyoda heads in to deal with the situation himself, only to get his butt handed to him despite a noble attempt.
Luna-tachi finally show up and let Subaru out of the car, and Subaru arrives just in time to save Goyoda from getting carved up. Rockman whoops virus ass, unknown guy returns to normal, happy happy joy joy.
Goyoda returns and lets Subaru out of the car (I'm assuming he scooted back in so Goyoda wouldn't suspect anything), and there's a bit of exchange between them. No big revelations, but I'm assuming that Goyoda sees Rockman in a bit of a better light since he saved his life.
I'd have to say that out of all the eps so far, this one was the first real disappointment. Nothing exceptional, but it's watchable.
And I made the first post for this ep, so I'm a happy guy. _________________

I was gonna post ...but I just got lazy XD. Thanks, Blunty.
Anyway, yeah, this episode was funny...I wonder if in the end there will be like a hoard of virus humans as minions... _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

Actually, Goyoda suspects that Subaru is Rockman. Because Goyoda thinks that Subaru couldn't have gotten out, he no longer suspects Subaru is Rockman. Hehehe... _________________ All life begins with Nu and ends with Nu... This is the truth! This is my belief! ...At least for now.

Think nothing of it.

That would be freaky. And now that I think about it, the whole human virus idea has merit, and I hope to see it fleshed out a bit more later on. Could you imagine if, back in EXE, there were Cross Fusion viruses? _________________

I'm fairly sure it was just to bring out the Jamminmen from the game, since there are a lot.
Ok this eppy was just a little filler, but it was still kind of funny to watch. X3 Better than Stream's fillers, that's for sure.
....I hope they won't take that path, now that I think about it. >_> _________________ SPOILER:

Well, we probably will see fillers somewhere down the line, as the second game isn't going to come out for a while. (there will be a second game, we all know it) Remember, EXE came out after EXE2 was released, I think, so it had plenty of material to work with. Not so with Ryuusei. But hey, EXE and Axess did all right with their fillers, so who's to say Ryuusei won't do the same? (Stream filler's were annoying due to their quantity, and I thought that Beast's fillers killed the mood the first 14 episodes set) _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Eh a 9 min filler really killed it for me. It just wasn't much of anything. They need a full slot back. Does anybody know how long that other show they share the timeslot with is gonna run? |

It'll probably run for awhile. I don't foresee Ryusei no Rockman returning to 30 minutes right in the middle of the series. If anything, we'll have to wait 'till season 2 for a full time slot. And that's if we're lucky.
I don't think Goryuda-keibu is done with Subaru-kun yet. I think he's still suspicious of him, but is now much less so. I liked the look on his face when Subaru just vanished into thin air. XD _________________

Maybe it's just me, but wasn't the coast clear enough that Subaru could've transformed and phased through the police car, like he has through other solid object? Without having to pound on the window and wait however long for help to arrive to let him out? Or can't you do that sitting down in a car, because it doesn't match your henshin sequence? _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

He wanted to do just that but there was a security system in the car that would either alert the inspector to his transformation or just plain wouldn't let him transform. I'm not sure which. |

As Aquaman said, there was a jamming signal in the car that prevented Denpa Henkan from working. It probably jammed WarRock's own signal in some way shape or form. _________________

A very nice episode and despite the fact that not really much has happened this one is now definitely one of my favorite episodes of Ryusei so far. It had action, it was funny, animation was nice and Goyoda got a bigger role. I start to like him more and more, he seems like a nice guy to me.
This episode gave me even more faith in this series and I look forward to the next episode. The 9-minute timeslot doesn't bother me as much like in Beast+, but I can't really explain why. I do wonder what exactly Goyoda said to Subaru when he was released from the police car at the end and why Subaru reacted like that. I don't know why but I liked Subaru's laugh at the end as well.
A very enjoyable episode, one of the best so far for me personally. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

Thanks for the explanation Numbergirl. But does this mean he sees Rockman in a better light now he saved his life? I always wondered if he sees Rockman as a villain or is he just curious what Rockman's real identity is?
Numbergirl, thank you so much for sharing this episode with us. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

For the moment, I believe that Goryuda-san had a BREIF respect for Rockman, but that will all change as soon as Rockman meddles in his job again. As for now, Subaru's off the hook. _________________

cccd-erckie, thank you for explaining this for me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I apologize if I start to sound annoying, but Goyoda sees Rockman as someone who is interfering with his work? So Goyoda views Rockman(what does Goyoda actually think what Rockman is? A human, a virus or netnavi?) not as a villain but he is annoyed by him because Rockman is operating outside the law so to speak? Or am I totally wrong? I can't seem to get a good idea for myself what exactly is going on with Goyoda's interest/obsession with Rockman.
Has Goyoda ever mentioned what he would do with Rockman if he ever manages (unlikely) to capture him? (This question sounds a bit strange, but I am wondering about this since a few weeks)
I hope someone wants to help me with this. Thanks. (I am sorry for bothering everyone with this) _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

Okay. Rockman is what we call a vigilantee, that is, someone who takes the law into his own hands. Now, this is very illegal. and while that is part of the reason Goryuda-san is after Rockman, the real reason is more of an ego thing. He sees Rockman as a threat to his job, essentially. As to how he sees Rockman, he sees him as a vigilantee kid wearing a VERY strange costume.
Since I can't understand Japanese, I don't have any clue as to what Goryuda-san would do in the highly unlikely event that Rockman was caught. :/ _________________

Thank you for the explanation.
I understand now why Goyoda is obsessed with Rockman. I hope that he and Rockman will be working together as a team someday, if Goyoda can put his ego aside. Thanks again! _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

In the beginning, I'm sure Goyoda's after Rockman because he turns up wherever there's a high concentration of viruses. In other words, Rockman's a suspect that needed to be questioned.
After this episode, as I see it, Goyoda's interest will lean more toward the vigilante angle. _________________ TGS 2007:MISSED! T_T |
