True. And like how haruhi-ism is slowly infecting the world. That show doesn't make much sense and it's popular so maybe nintendo can make a big movie or something.

I like what everyone's put forth so far. Love the Ghost in the Shell type Rockman X idea.

Out of all series mentioned though, I would really love to see a Rockman Zero or Rockman ZX anime. Both stories have great potential, and if they're written right, they'd be incredible shows.

My only fear would be that 4Kids Entertainment or some other censor-heavy children's network would pick up the rights and just tear them to shreds like they have other anime in the past. If a Zero or ZX anime existed, I'd prefer them to be left in their original state (besides being dubbed, hopefully well) and showed on Adult Swim.

As for weird anime ideas, I'm up for a NiGHTS into Dreams anime. It'd be REALLY hard to pull off, I think, but it'd still be fun to see.

NiGHTS yes but I'd be happy with a Wii port. Come on Sega!
But I think late toonami or late, late night friday would be best for a X series like that. Maybe first time slot AS but it wouldn't fit there.

I really don't know what that Nights into Dreams series is about, but whatever floats your boat.

As for who could take the Rockman Zero or ZX anime, I'd kill 4Kids if they dubbed it and slashed it. Adult Swim FTW!

I think Metroid, if done right, could make an excellent sci-fi series. I don't know if it could rival the quality of series like Stargate, but it has enough good source material to make a fairly enjoyable series. Also, how does a Castlevania anime series sound?

Hold on to your hats,DMC fans!I read in "Tips and Tricks" that a 13 episode or so DMC anime is headed to the Japanese airwaves soon!

As for more ideas, how about a Soul Calibur anime? It'd be kinda nice to see the events and evolution of the characters as the series goes on.

I agree. That would be pretty cool. Would the sword have a voice? Does it?

What about Chrono Trigger? :p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T0vZEQqaxM

I think that would be an extremely cool 26 episode series (and please not longer and please let it be done by Akira Toriyama XD)
It'll probably be a hit! :p

Wow, I hadn't even thought of Metroid yet! That sounds awesome. *has fun imagining all the cool stuff in a tv series format*

BTW, What's DMC? Can't say I've heard of that, or if I have, I'm having a serious blonde moment ^^;;

DMC = Devil May Cry. :E

DMCs 1, 3, and 4 would be great as animé.

Either Elite Beat Agents or Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan would be great as animé!

But I seriously want the Gyakuten Saiban franchise as an animé. There's already manga for it, so what's to stop it from becoming a good animé series? GS, IMO, has the best BGM and OSTs, a great cast of characters, and a good storyline with enough plot twists to keep your rear end glued to the couch.

Just my honest opinion, though.

I agree with those three idea. But one might only work as a short OAV.

The sword doesn't have a voice. It would be nice to hear a hunk of metal speak.LMAO.

Any ideas on who we would like to see voice the characters in the animes? One thing...good gosh! Please don't put Kilik's dub actor in the voice acting box.His voice annoys me to hell.

I really like the Chrono Trigger idea. They should've done it years ago, IMO. Would've gotten really high ratings (provided it were done correctly).

As for the Metroid idea, that's great. Make it ala Ghost in the Shell, and it would be sweet.

Azuregore, your Elite Beat Agents idea sounds hilarious. Laughing In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a studio is already working on it. Your DMC idea, though, wouldn't make a good series. It could be good as a movie, though.

On another note, I recently came up with an idea from a discontinued fanfiction I once read. The idea is for a Legend of Zelda series, but made like Final Fantasy VIII. What I mean is, a futuristic LOZ series. It'd be really neat, and would allow for a lot of originality (although Nintendo would have to work out some copyright stuff with Square Co.). Of course, the main characters (Link, Zelda, Ganondorf) would be the same, although in a different generation. As a must, the series would have to be for mature audiences (I'd want to see lots of bullets flying).

Your input?

*slaps forehead* Yup, nasty blonde moment. Thanks for setting me straight.

I'm not sure what to think about a futuristic Zelda. Sounds kinda weird, but it might be interesting. I'd prefer to keep Zelda the way it is, though. The idea of Link with a gun is about as appealing to me as a Sonic character with a gun. My reaction to hearing about Shadow the Hedgehong was probably the biggest WTF moment I've ever experienced.

Well, I'd keep a lot of original Zelda elements in the series, such as swords, magic, etc. It'd just be that a lot of the world around the characters would be advanced by technology, but a lot of the problems would have to be solved through more... traditional means.

For example, I've had this character idea for a Zelda series for some time. I'll run through it for this particular series idea.

The character would be a woman named Aryll (yes, Link's sister from WW, no relation in this), about Link's age (say, 1Cool, and an incredibly skilled longbow archer (if asked, she'll claim she can hit a target from a mile away, right between the eyes). She'd refrain from using bullets in combat in favor of arrows, but in order to keep up with the times, she has to use a bow that is enhanced by technology. Aryll starts out as a mercenary, and is hired by the main villian (obviously that generation's Ganondorf) to kill the current Link. Of course, she does not finish the job (she doesn't fail, though), and abandons the contract when the villain tries to have her killed. In the end, she becomes a freelancer, and at times a valuable ally to Link.

I love the idea for that Aryll. She'd just rock. Comments?

EDIT: Oh, and as to your bit on Link using a gun, I'd have it so Link is a terrible shot, and that his main weapon is a sword (eventually the Master Sword). No need to worry.

I'll say this, No zelda characters with guns. Thank you. But a future link may not be so horrible.

Don't worry, that would not be my intention. Although, it would be a necessity for non-character soldiers, and maybe a couple exclusive characters to the series (more likely a villain). But certainly, Link, Zelda and Ganondorf would not be gun-wielders. At least not regularly; maybe if Link or Zelda were desperate to defend themselves...

What I'd like, though, is to see stuff like mecha or such in the series. AND it would have to be something more like Ghost in the Shell mecha, not Gundam mecha. That'd be more reasonable. Of course, you'd still have magic and fantasy creatures (dragons would still be around and dangerous). That stuff would just be included with futuristic technology. Kinda like Vision of Escaflowne, a great anime IMHO.

Someone mentioned Ratchet and Clank before.... God, that'd be awesome. I love that game.

Also maybe Kingdom Hearts. Wonder who'd do that...? <.< >.> Smile
