Ryuusei 14 (A: Spoilers, or B: Spoilers?)

Start's off with that blasted, time eating intro. Same old: viruses come from FM Planet, Subaru+War Rock, blah blah.

Starts out with Ikuta waiting at a crosswalk. Libra gives us a handy flashback of how Rockman attacked him, resulting in him encountering Afroman.

Next, Ikuta's getting lunch in the teacher's lounge. (Wish my school had those Auto Meal machines.) WTF?! Goyoda's in his face! How'd he get there? Ikuta, or should I say Libra, is understandably startled, but everything's cool.

Next is Ikuta standing infront of the science lab building, doing his multiple choice thing. He goes with A and enters.

Now, Subaru is in the school's library, reading a book and chatting with War Rock about something or other. He sees Ikuta walk by, carrying a box of bottles. (That can't bode well.) He pursues contact, asking what he'll do with with the bottles. Ikuta seems jumpy and nervous. Hm...

Next, Ikuta at a computer, which is showing schematics of the bottles. (That REALLY can't bode well.) Subaru spies on him through the classroom door's window. War Rock thinks an FM has something to do with Ikuta's strange behavior. Meanwhile, Ikuta struggles with his project. Unless I'm mistaken, he's trying to make a rocket or something. Homeland Security won't like that one bit.

With his boxload of improvised explosives in hand, an angry Ikuta stands infront of the school. Subaru looks on.

Suddenly, Ikuta begins yelling, and we see a brief glimpse of Libra Balance! He looks like a beefier Libra, with fire on one balance, and water on the other. Then WTF? a fireball shoots out from his body and BOOM! the doors blow up, and the building catches on fire! Subaru is alarmed, and reveals himself. After a tense standoff, Ikuta introduces himself as Libra, and lumbers toward the adolescent!

But wait! A spire on the building collapses and is about to crush Ikuta! Have no fear! Denpa Henken to the rescue! (no henshin) With a slide worth of the classic Rockman, Subaru takes cover and performs Denpa Henken! (this time there is a henshin)

Libra Balance's shoulder is still expelling pixels, but that doesn't stop him from recognizing War Rock's voice! War Rock taunts the FM with his own multiple choice (his head looks flattened here. Bad art.) Libra Balance uses Flame Weight, but Subaru responds with a Wide Wave. Not only does it hit Libra Balance, but it also douses the fire! Handy! Libra Balance lands on a Wave Road, muttering about his lowered power level due to his injury. Cue reusual of the Flame Weight footage from earlier. What appear to be oil tanks catch on fire. That is really, REALLY bad. Wha? Libra Balance's plan is to drown Subaru in oil? That's original.

Pipes begin to break. Subaru uses an Elec Sword-esque card to sever them, releasing water at high pressure. It douses the flames! Handy!. Finally, Subaru buster shot's a bell tower. Down it falls... and to add injury to insult, Subaru follows up with a Heavy Cannon, pummeling the sucker. A badly injured Libra flees, leaving an unconscious Ikuta.

As police cars approach, Tsukasa stands on top of the building, ipodsh Tranzer in hand. I really don't like that look on his face, and what's more, he knows that Subaru's been here.

Next day, Ikuta's supervising the launch of those rockets he made earlier; guess they weren't bombs after all. Too bad, that would've been a cooler plot. Subaru's rocket is apparently the best, and Gonta makes an ass out of himself. The End.

Eh, this ep was so so. There was a chunk of fugly art, and bland battles. Reminded me of, shudder, Stream's 'fights'. I hope that this won't set a standard.

Next week, I surmise that we'll be seeing Gemini, and I hope that it makes up for this fairly mediocre episode.

Tsukasa was holding the Wave Scanner.

I wonder why Libra was still hurt even after hiding in Ikuta's Transer?

I'm getting really, really tired of the intro, WE GET IT, Wave Food, FM Planet, Subaru and War Rock saving the day, ENOUGH. >_<

Ikuta was looking at the bottles with his Transer I believe.

Next week's episode is called "Laughing Radio Wave Space" and then after that "Angry Radio Wave Space".

My hope is that along with Gemini, Harp Note will reappear. That'd be SO sweet! Besides, Subaru's gonna need the extra help against a double enemy.

...That wasn't an elec sword, or even of the elec element. That was Suigetsuzan, which is an aqua element card.

Gemini is VERY unlikely to appear just yet...though it's likely that just in the games, [spoil:d2723a0504]Tsukasa has long already been in contact with him before the series even started.[/spoil:d2723a0504]

I see that Subaru went from only having 4 or so cards to starting to pull new ones out of nowhere like what happened in the original exe.

As for next ep I really hope it's not like that human-virus ep. Hopefully Subaru and Misora will finally meet seeing as she's suppposedly his sidekick and her last episode was "Here she is! And now she's gone because we have more characters to introduce." They barely even spoke to each other.

It's only episode 14 of 50-something. There's still plenty of time for Misora to show up. It'll probably be like R-Roll in Stream: pigeonholed for a while and then suddenly she's in the right place at the right time, saves the day, and ends up making regular appearances.

Yeah. 26 is probably more accurate.

I also wonder what they'll decide to do after this series run. Unlike the EXE anime which came out around the second and third games (and, thus, had more material), the Ryusei anime came out before the game, so they're going to run dry on material a lot faster (which is why 10 minute episodes is probably a good thing here).

And I don't see why it's unlikely that Gemini will be showing up soon considering the next two episodes are obviously Tsukasa-centric.

It's a possibility. It's not like the anime has been releasing everyone in order...seeing as Cygnus came before Ox. So it's a possibility that Gemini could come before Ophiuchus.

However, [spoil:f8413bd070]it's unlikely that Gemini Spark will appear and fight just yet. After all, Gemini Spark is the final boss before Andromeda, not to mention Gemini is the leader of the FM seijin warriors, so he's pretty important. He can still show himself, but it doesn't mean he'll have to reveal his connection to Tsukasa, his form of Gemini Spark, or his assignment on Earth. Just showing that he exists and that he's there. After all, Freezeman showed his face long before he was actually defeated and he was also the leader of his group.[/spoil:f8413bd070]

Possible (though minor) Ryusei no Rockman game SPOILERS below

You don't have enough evidence to make such a powerful statement, especially since... if EXE is any indication... trying to use game elements to predict the anime's outcome rarely works out exact, and the anime has already strayed from the games a formidable bit. I mean, look at how many characters from EXE who were extremely vital to the game plots ended up being borderline useless in the anime. (Need I list off every Darkloid, Asteroid, and Zoanoroid?)

I understand Gemini's importance in the game, but having Gemini Spark appear and battle with Rockman will in no way lower his importance, nor does it mean he's never going to appear again. I honestly can't gather how him being important means he can't appear or even fight yet. He can fight and escape just like everyone else has, and then after some more two-part storylines, when the story finally decides to go somewhere, he can do something important then.

But these are just introductory episodes. Doesn't mean there's going to be any resolution to Tsukasa's or Gemini's characters at all. Look at Misora; she's allies and friends with Subaru by the end of her scenario in the games, but they don't even know each other yet in the anime. And where'd Utagai go? He returns to normal after his bout in the games, but he's disappeared into who-knows-where in the anime.

(Besides, it'd be extremely anticlimactic if the next two episodes, which are obviously Tsukasa-centric (which, in turn, means they're Gemini-centric), didn't feature Gemini Spark. I mean, what do you expect to sit through for the next two weeks? Character development?)[/spoil:06171c49c5]

It would just seem extremely odd to show him out of the blue. Wait for [spoil:2349f96874]Ophiuchus Queen[/spoil:2349f96874] to show herself first.

And we already know from EXE that we can't be surprised if we're presented with completely pointless episodes as well.

You're not being clear. How exactly is it "out of the blue" to show Tsukasa's henkan before Luna's? The anime writers can (and probably will) rewrite the plotline to tailor to their changes as they see fit.

I won't find it surprising if Gemini appears on his own (In fact, Gemini's appearance in episode 15 has been confirmed by Xebec though there is no mention of Tsukasa or any connection Gemini has to a human...only that he's forcing everyone to laugh). Nothing you say can change this as it's my choice to think this way. If I turn out to be wrong, you can go ahead and say "I told you so", but until then, your insistence serves no point. My idea is just as valid as yours.

I thought it was an interesting episode. Ikuta's hair changed when libra was in his transer. I still want to see luna's. And Misora again.

I'm not trying to refute your opinion. But you're not stating a lot of it as opinion. You're stating it definitively but without enough concrete evidence to support your opinion. Sorry this is late, but I've been VERY preoccupied.

There's really nothing I can say that hasn't been here said already, so I'll keep it simple.

This ep was only slightly more interesting than the Human Virus ep, but the fact that Tsukasa now knows that Subaru is Rockman could be interesting later on.
