Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I figured this be the best place to ask given it deals with AMV creation.
Okay, I use Windows Movie Maker to create AMVS, however when I try to import .avi videos(supported file type mind you) it tells me I do not have the correct "codec" It wont even tell me what "codec" i need, so im really in a jam. If anyone has had this problem before and knows where and what kind of "codec" i need, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, when I put a clip in the timeline,it will play once, but when I rewind it, the screen stays black but says the clip is playing...if anyone knows how to fix that aswell I'd be very greatful.Thank you. |

It depends on what the videos are encoded with. I say try downloading the DivX and XviD codecs - that covers most. I'm not sure about the second problem. Repost your question in the Tutorial thread and someone may be able to help you there. Otherwise, you can only create topics here to show your AMVs. Locking. |
