|
|
I haven't seen very many topics anymore unveiling the latest episode titles as Xebec (or other sources) reveal them, so I decided to create a single thread that we can constantly update as new titles and summaries are revealed. And since I'm not fluent in Japanese, I'm wholly depending on everyone else to do the work for me. =D
Also, I dunno about anyone else, but I like to keep up with the art directors for each episode. It usually gives an idea on how well the episode is going to be animated. So far, Ryusei only has three art directors. They are:
- Shingo Adachi (responsible for the intro sequence, henshin sequences, and episodes like episode 11)
- Masayuki Nomoto (responsible for episodes like episodes 1-2, 5-7, etc.)
- Takahashi Akira (responsible for episodes like episodes 3-4, 8-9, etc.)
From my own personal observations, Akira's art style is often very plain, but s/he does very smooth and interesting battle sequences. Nomoto's art style is a little bolder/rounder/cuter, but s/he sometimes gives in to "still-frame" battles. As for Adachi; the art style is detailed and cute, the animation is smooth, and overall, rocks. (Definitely the Mitsuru Ishihara of Ryusei.)
(All three of those art directors originally worked for EXE, BTW, and both Adachi and Akira go all the way back to the original EXE series (though Adachi's style has changed dramatically since EXE episode 9). Masayuki Nomota popped up around Stream, IIRC.)
Anyway... So far, here's what we got coming up...
Episode 18 - キャンサー参上ブク! (Calling on Cancer, Buku!) - 2/10; Art Direction: Shingo Adachi
Episode 19 - ロックマン急便 (Rockman Express Mail) - 2/17; Art Direction: TBA
Episode 20 - 植木職人は月に吠える (The Gardener Howls at the Moon) - 2/24; Art Direction: TBA
Looks like Wolf Forest will be appearing soon, but I have no idea what episode 19 is going to be about. _________________

Looks to me like episode 19 will just be a filler. _________________

Same here.
I'm guessing it's a valentine's day kind of filler. _________________ TGS 2007:MISSED! T_T |

... Buku? Does this mean that the crab guy ( I think the name's a spoiler?) will say 'Buku', like BubbleMan says 'Puku'? _________________ MegaMan Kilobit

I wouldn't find that surprising. _________________

Yep, this further enforces my belief that this season (if Ryuuei follows 25-26 ep denominations) will simply introduce everyone, and season 2 will get to the heart of the story.
I bet we'll see some werewolf-like action go down in 20. BTW, I wonder what Cancer, Wolf, and Crown will look like, as we've only seen images of them after they've merged with their humans. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

So next is crab then filler then wolf. That's ok. But would be funny if it was a V-day filler. |

Cancer is the cutest thing ever, though he is only shown for a bit.
Episode 18 is utterly adorable. :D
And those who predicted episode 19 being a valentine's day related episode is correct. Specifically an episode that centers around Luna and Rockman. _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

So, I'm assuming you have no idea which episode Ophiuchus Queen shows up in?
Yes, I know I'm obsessed, but I don't care. Not only do I see Luna as an older and WAY cuter version of Yaito-chan, but I'm DYING to see what'll happen when she's forced to throw down with her beloved Rockman-sama. _________________

I thought Cancer Bubble added -cchi to the end of all his sentences, not buku. :/ _________________

It's just a tribute to Bubbleman, that's all.
There is a very small chance that Ophiuchus Queen may appear next week as it's a Luna centered episode but I highly, highly, HIGHLY doubt it. XD _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

I'm sure she's very anticipated. Mostly because she's the only main character with one that hasn't show up. And she loves megaman. |

It would seem a bit odd to introduce Ophiuchus in a Valentine's Day filler, but the only reason I think they MIGHT is because the very-plausible 26-episode length is approaching fast. Stranger things have happened, but let's just wait and see. _________________

The summary for ep19 is already in the Ryuusei site (Capcom's).
No mention nor hint of Opiuchus Queen _________________ TGS 2007:MISSED! T_T |

Awww..... But maybe she'll show up soon. She has too. It would make a great episode. |

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this earlier but Cancer Bubble adds "Choki" to the end of his sentences. It's the sound a crab's pincers make. (or scissors in general, hence why Cutman has an attack called "Surprise Chokin!" _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

Oh yes, wrong sound. But, I knew it wasn't "Buku" for sure! _________________

For some reason, I am interested in the "Rockman Express Mail" episode. I hope it is a light-hearted and funny episode in which we see Rockman from a more comical perspective. (I am sorry if I wrote this down in the wrong way, my knowledge of the English language is not very good) I am also hoping there will be another conversation between Luna and Rockman.
I actually hope that we don't see Opiuchus Queen in this episode. It would seem so short. I understand Cancer Bubble was introduced in one episode but I guess Opiuchus Queen is a more serious opponent, is she the one who also appears in the opening credits?
But since it is a Valentine's Day episode involving Luna and Rockman it could lay the basis for future episodes. (I really shouldn't speculate so much)
Anyway I definitely look forward to it and also to the episode involving Wolf Forest.
As for the different art directors Crimson Seiko explained about in detail, I never really thought much about them until now, but I realize now there were several episodes which looked different in style and some of them I really liked in the way how they looked. I am interested to find out which art director I would like the most in terms of animation.
I am wondering, do art directors decide if there for example will be a lot of movements in battles or instead a lot of "still-frame" battles? Or are the writers responsible for that or are these choices more budget-related? I guess "still-frames" are less expensive and time-consuming to make? I don't really know how this works or is decided. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

Ishihara Mitsuru is another good one and my personal favorite. She did a lot of work from EXE to Beast and mysterious vanished from the scene starting at Beast+ (in which Shingo Adachi presumably took her job). She did every series's final episode (except Beast+, of course), and took over for stock footage in Stream and Beast.
Though I'm not sure if she did the DVD covers for EXE, it looks like her work for Axess, and definitely for Stream and Beast. She also had one of the most primary roles in the Program of Light and Dark movie. She also did a lot of production artwork for the anime, including an Axess picture book for children.
As for her episodes, she's done: EXE (08, 13, 35, some of 41, some of 44, 51, 56); Axess (44, 51); Stream (40, 51); and Beast (14, 25).
It's really too bad she isn't working with the show anymore. I'd really like to see how she depicts the Ryusei cast... _________________
