Are these out yet? And will they be available and a store OTHER than KB? _________________ Once I was Dr Kain, but I died and have been reborn as Gankutsuou. |

The last time I checked, the figures aren't out yet. They'll be available in Toys R Us, too and on Jazwares' online store when they're released.
I asked Ego about why the Retro Rotos are taking their sweet time being released and he said that they were running into some sculpting and articulation problems. Apparently the prototype molds weren't holding together properly or something. Hopefully that'll be fixed soon as I'm tired of waiting. _________________

I went to a "Toy Liquidators" store, which is basically a KB Closeout store, and found all of the Retro Roto figures. I eventually got all 5 of them over time, but the "new" ones on the back were never released. But I did get to put the Full Charge Megaman together. ^_^ I found that this Toy Liquidators place had other Jazwares toys. Toys like the Viewtiful Joe "action" figures and these were things no other store around here carries. So, does this mean Jazwares is stopping their toy production or not selling well or what?

...yeah, at one point.
I think they decided that I wasn't worth talking to when they started getting licenses for other toylines like Mortal Kombat and whatever.

So now what? Are they just going to sit on the license? Or are they going to give it up to a company that will do something with it? MK is nice, but we want our Megaman figures! lol
Not many places carry Jazwares merchandise I've noticed. I've seen the MK figures at places like Big Lots and, of course, KB Toys, but not other locations like Walmart, Target, or TRU. The big stores. Are they not advertising toward a larger market, or is it that those stores aren't choosing to pick them up? If it's the latter, I wonder why. They could do much worse than give Jazwares a try. I mean, they HAVE done worse. I wonder what the deal is.
This is kinda off topic, but you know those DX Rockman.EXE (and now "Star Force") figures that you can import? The ones with tons of articulation and sweet accessories? Wouldn't it be cool to have other Rockman/Megaman series done that way? I think Legends could be done up that way easily. So could ZX. But that's import toy business. Doesn't look like we'll ever see anything like that. _________________ Power wielded by incompetance leads to nothing but self destruction. |

I actually prefer some of the American EXE toys over the Japanese ones. XD They seem to be a bit more sturdy. My Beast Out Rockman toys of Falzer and Greiga fall apart if I even BREATHE on them wrong. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. "Giving" is out of the question. I imagine that they MAY release new product, assuming they can find anyone willing to buy, or they may just sit on it unless someone makes them an offer they can't refuse.
I have no idea what this even means for that MMZ figure.

I have seen them at Wal-Marts and TRUs up here, but then, we lack Big Lots and KB here, so that may be part of it.
I'm guessing that some of the big-box toystores like TRU in the States probably don't have faith in the product, or maybe they tested it out in some places(like Canada) and it didn't sell so hot.
I know I saw Wave 3 or 4 or whatever had CM X and Rush here on Clearance at Wal-Mart, while TRU never even got them.
Really wish I'd been able to get some.

It'd be neat, but the downside is that BN/SF is an entirely different license from the original MM universe, and would be treated like any other seperate license.

Well, I meant "giving" in the loosest sense of the word. By that I meant what you said. Selling it to someone. But someone who will do it justice. I wonder if anyone has offered... How long has it been since you've tried to contact them?

So its sort of opposite where you are. I'm not anywhere near Canada, but rather southern US. I've found that things tend to trickle down. They tend to show up in the north first and slowly make their way south. Even in the southern states things tend to show up in the northern parts of the state first and make their way south. Its weird. So thats why I've decided to move further north.
Really wish you had been able to get some what? CM X and Rush? I think I saw lots of Rush toys at the Toy Liquidators place I mentioned. Not so sure about CM X. If you wanted, we could exchange info or something so you could get it.

Oh, I know. But I meant the opposite. For Bandai HK to use the DX style body to make other Rockman toys. Like Rockman Dash, ZX, or Zero. I don't think licenses keep them from making toys overseas much. Heh. Sometimes imports are better and sometimes US toys are. It just depends. So far, the DX figures are on the top of my Rockman toy list as far as look, accessories, durability, and especially posability go.
Just to be clear, I'm talking about this figure:

Not the ones that had the soul armors and stuff. Although I did want to get one of the ones that had Forte Soul armor... I never could find one. _________________ Power wielded by incompetance leads to nothing but self destruction. |

No idea. I got tired of dealing with it and decided to get on with my life. They were being a bit uncooperative towards the end as it was, even though earlier on things were great.
Still, it's kind of hard to pitch for them when you wound up being one of the last people to know about things, constantly.

That'd be an idea, but I'm unemployed at the moment. Same thing that held me back when they were on clearance.
As far as which ones, well, the whole wave those two were in, plus the Retro Rotos. Hell, I still need Axl and his bike, and regular-colored Bass.
What sort of prices do they go for there?

Yeah, that one's neat, though Bandai sort of had something similar with the Rockin' Action toys when they held the license... I thought a MMZero fig like that would be cool.
Funny Jazwares got Sota to make one like that... and then seemingly drop it.
But Toy Fair is this weekend. Maybe we'll hear something.

Yeah, I guess they just didn't feel like listening to the fan-base and just went with whatever was cheapest and fastest to make. Apparently, the sellers decided to stop dealing with them as well. I haven't seen much in the way of Jazwares merch except in closeout markets like I mentioned. I went to Big Lots the other day and even they didn't have any of their stuff anymore. I think they had one Mortal Kombat figure sitting on a random shelf. That was all.

At the Toy Liquidators I went to, I believe they ranged from $4.99 to $6.99. I'm not sure about Axl and the bike, but I think they may have had that too. They weren't on clearance, but every now and then they have strange sales. Stuff like "Every price that ends in an 8 is buy one get one free!" kind of stuff. They are a couple of exits down from where I am, so I don't go there often. The TRU is even further away since they closed the one here... I feel your money pain. Having much credit card and medical debt. T_T

Yeah, I haven't checked in on the Toy Fair coverage since Saturday night, but at that time I didn't see anything for Jazwares. I wonder if they put anything up and if they did, if any of it was Megaman related... I've got some of those Rockin' Action Rockman figures. Those are neat and have great posability, and two heads! Hard to find those anymore. But those are another shining example of how HK knows how to make figures that are ACTION figures and not just statuesque. You can have cool looking figures and articulation and not ruin the figure. Just look at the Revoltec line of figures. Dante from Devil May Cry 3 is a shining example of that. Of course, that figure would never pass standards in the US with all of the pointy bits the weapons have, but still. ^^; I'm always for more posability in my figures. _________________ Power wielded by incompetance leads to nothing but self destruction. |

That happens with my Japanese Rockman X figures. Zero's armor is always coming apart, and the stickers just won't stay on. I had instances where I had to actually glue the darn things together, just to keep them from falling off.
As for what I think of the new line: the selection could be a tad better. I mean I love the fact they actually included Trigger this time ( And kobuns, because those are so cute :D) is a major plus. But it still seems there is a lot to be desired. And why a copy X clone? I mean if they are going to go that far, they might as well include the four generals or copy X himself. And whatever happened to the 10 inch line? This is all kind of making me wish Bandai would have picked up the Rockman toy line, instead of Jazwares. But, what can you do. _________________

IF those even get released. How long ago did we first hear about them?
Anyway, as regards the Pantheons, they were to have an interchangable head so you could turn them into Copy X.

I have no clue. But it just makes me even more skeptical on how dependable Jazwares can be. And that is a neat feature for the clones, but I'd still like to see more verity. But thanks for the input LBD. _________________
