|
|
This episode made me smile right of the bat.
First off, we see that (THANK you, animators!) for once, we do NOT start the episode with the usual filler intro!
We start off in a factory of some sort. Machines are going haywire thanks to a denpa virus infection. Our hero Rockman steps in, and with a wave of his magic Rockbuster, deletes the bastards. And it seemed like he was in denpa mode, since no one seemed to notice he was there.
This bit presented something curious. Unlike the cyberworld viruses of old, it seems that denpa viruses simply have to be next to a device in order to infect it. This also makes me wonder if Rockman will be able to use the Wave Road to enter cyberworlds, like in the game.
Next morning, Subaru receives an unexpected delivery from the factory he saved before. Seems Subaru made a boo-boo and fried one of the machines when he deleted the virus. So, he decides to make up for it by using his super-duper denpa powers to deliver the good to their proper owners. WarRock seems a bit reluctant at first, but agrees.
And we see a bunch of boxes floating around, with a single hand holding them up. Thank *God* Inspector Goyoda didn't show up.
Using the Wave Road to travel at the speed of a well-seeded fansub download, Rockman proceeds to travel to various addresses, dropping of packages and getting signatures for receipt of delivery.
BTW, the bit between WarRock and the dog was CLASSIC!
Meanwhile, our favorite Leganchor-haired cutie pie, Shirogane Luna, is sitting at home, bored out of her skull. And who should happen to appear at her front door, than her beloved Rockman-sama!
At this point we find that the Transer can also double as a digital camera, as evidenced by Luna taking rapid snapshots, including of the two of them together that I may use as a avatar.
Luna leaves and comes back with tea for the two of them, only to find that Rockman's left to make more deliveries, including one to his mother.
After a while, poor Luna's still waiting for her honey, but comes to the conclusion that something horrible has happened to Rockman-sama! At this point, she summons an army of butlers that rivals Yaito-chan's horde of maids, and sends them out to search for him.
After an unsuccessful search, Luna returns to her room, overcome with disappointment, only to find her Rockman-sama waiting for her with a special present! Luna happily accepts, signs the receipt, and seals it with a kiss. (cute!)
And with that, Subaru and WarRock head home, satisfied with a job well done.
Meanwhile, Luna is busy signing a bunch of slips (supposedly to send to Rockman) when a fleet of trucks shows up with deliveries for her!
Well, as far as filler eps go, this was a damn good one. We see a lighter side of Subaru and WarRock, and a few cute moments between Rockman and Luna, along with some priceless comedy.
Next week, we meet Wolf Forest (and I hope, I hope, I hope Ophiuchus Queen shows up afterward!) _________________

I think I came to understand the world of the waves a little better now.
Rockman and the denpa viruses are made of electromagnetic waves, and when the viruses attack machinery, they use their wave attacks to jam the electrical components and sending them haywire. The "physical" attacks instead, I think refer to incredibly high frequencies that can also harm the matter as well, imagine an electromagnetic wave that makes electrons in matter rotate at an incredible speed, so high it's critical causing it to explode.
This episode made me laugh OH so much. Ryuusei is being awesome so far, the episodes, despite being short, are balancing really well plot, animation and cheesy moments. The scene where Rockman holds the goods with a hand while the rest of his body is phased? PRICELESS. WarRock holding stuff into his mouth? TWICE as priceless. _________________ SPOILER:

I thought this episode would be a bit lame, but much to my relief, it shot up to one of my all time favorites. WarRock talking with his mouth full of package was hilarious, and his brief argument with a dog was even doubly so.
And did that first lady call Rockman cute?
Also, concerning the attack at the factory, I don't think "physical" attacks are anything other than just what they appear to be: physcial. I must point back to episode 8 where during, Ox and WarRock's battle, many things were destroyed (a light post, bench, a basketball hoop and a wall). In episode 9, Ox Fire (while invisible) knocked over trees, destroyed a truck, made a crater, and mashed Rockman into wall, by which he, Rockman, made his own little crater. In this episode, I believe that one Denpa Virus literally collided with the machine, causing something in the computer to literally come loose (perhaps) and cause it to malfunction. Nothing a good mechanic can't fix I don't think. =) _________________

Ophiuchus Queen isn't scheduled to show for a while...at least not in the next three episodes, so stop begging for her to show up. >_>
The episode was okay...not great, certainly not as great as Cancer Bubble's episode. _________________

Well, the episode itself was nice, but (I can't believe I am saying this) several parts just bored me. For the first time I got the 'how much longer?' feeling and then to think the show is only 10 minutes long! I mean, I lost count how many times I saw Rockman travelling on the Wave Road.
The episode was good but I liked the last one with Cancer Bubble a lot better. Still, there are some priceless moments in this eppie for me: the scene with the dog, Warock holding packages, Warock's expression when Luna grabbed his head and dragged Rockman inside, the visible hand with the packages was funny and the scenes with Luna and Rockman.
Not my favorite episode but not really bad IMHO in the end. _________________ This great avatar is made by Synchro-kun. Thank you! |

I thought it was a good episode. Fun and luna's scenes were cute. Like the scene at the end. |

Heh, it seems people have mixed feelings about this episode :p Well, I thought it was just very good :p Not extremely good, but the best filler I've seen in ages! About the same as the Cancer Bubble episode ^__^;;
And something other than fighting but just doing some chores, sorta, and it was just... I don't know... it was just fun to watch :p (I'm easily entertained) _________________

Do ALL anime female class reps live in mansions?
It certainly seems to be a trend. _________________

The FM waves (right?) are merely a replacement for the "material thing", previously called Dimensional Area, where "viruses" materializes themselves. Anyway, I don't want to drift the topic... ^_^;; |

Uh no Zepper. The FM waves are the electromagnetic waves.
Viruses and FMs don't materialize, only FM sejin can, since it's a fusion of a human made of matter with an FM made of waves.
There's no dimensional area-like thing. Everything happens in thin air made out of EM waves. _________________ SPOILER:

I wish the anime would stop confusing the issue of whether or not FMs and viruses can substantiate themselves. In Ryuusei 3, Warrock clearly says that he can't physically interact with the physical, and in Ryuusei 4 tells Subaru to 'change his form', ie go from wave to physical to catch Luna. (Thanks DATS).
However, in Ryuusei 8, all this goes to hell, for both Warrock and Ox damage the school yard during their brief fight via physical contact, something that has already been stated to be impossible.
For the Billy in this episode, the only explanation I can give is that when it was knocked onto the machine, its radio signiture messed up whatever waves were coming from the machine, which told the machine to do something it wasn't supposed to, resulting in all the orders being messed up.
Still, Warrock vs. Dog was pretty funny, even if we only saw it for a few seconds. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Incorrect. FM Seijin cannot. FM Seijin is the proper term for what everyone keeps shortening to "FM". "Seijin" means "star being" or "alien". Denpa Ningen is a fusion of an FM-Seijin (or possibly in Rockman's case, an AM Seijin or Satellite power, ie Star Force) and a human. _________________ ~DrkX (Resident over-sexed camera-whore & Facebook zombie.)

Well, let's take Ayaka from Mahou Sensei Negima for starters. She and Luna are both class reps and they both live in mansions.
That's just one example. You'll need to wait for me to find more. _________________

Urgh, sorry DrX, I MEANT Denpa Ningen. ><
As for the fight between WarRock and Ox, many theories have been thrown around.
Maybe while beating each other up, they generated frequencies just so high that when interacting with matter, it got crushed too? Just an idea. :p _________________ SPOILER:

Iinchou-types generally fall into two categories- the ojousama character that got her position due to her influence and generally dominating personality like in Negima...
...and the shy, timid girl that only has the job because nobody else wanted it and she can't bring herself to say no. This is seen in both ToHeart games, among other things. _________________ 「無一物」
