Just a simple idea of a topic I thought of. I'm just curious how other Rockman EXE fans enjoy watching the show. I know most of us here download, and thus have all our episodes on the computer. But just sitting at a desk, watching a video in an office chair or something doesn't sound too fun. So, does anyone here go all out and try to create a theatrical experience? I know I do!

Whenever I feel the urge to watch Rockman and Netto kick butt (which is often), I have a whole setup I make. Over the years it's gotten more and more elaborate, it's actually ridiculous now XD. First, I take a loooooong video cord, all the way from my computer, into my living room, and attach it to my dad's 46" LCD HDTV (Sony Wega... I <3 it). Then, I take a just as long audio cord and attach that to my dad's home theater system (I do this all of course, when no one else is home :P ). After that, I open up a playlist and go nuts! It looks great and sounds great, and usually puts me into a 4 or 5 episode spree.

Sometimes, if there are other people in the house, I'll use my wireless headphones... which, usually results in me singing the opening and ending theme songs out loud XD

So yes, PLEASE don't say I'm the only one here that enjoys watching Rockman EXE in a ridiculous setup? Use this topic to explain how you watch the show, whether it's on your computer desk, or inside a massive theater setup!

Well, I make do with just my computer's Media Player, though if I spot something unusual, I pause, rewind, and get a close look.

But maybe I could consider burning these avi's into a DVD... If I had one. XD

Well, usually I (especially for new episodes) put them on the computer in our living room which is connected to our TV (well... was... not anymore for some reason Oo) and then watch it on the TV with 5.1 and stuff (even tho those episodes don't even HAVE 5.1 sound XD). When I'm alone I usually put the audio way too high and sometimes rewatch entire sequences just for kicks :p

But now that computer is no longer attached to the PC, but my dad finally came home from England so he might be able to reconnect it (it's his system). Smile

I've got all of EXE (the first show) burned onto a CD-R that plays in DVD players, but for some reason some of the episodes don't play. I've tried re-recordering them, re-downloading and re-recording, but nothing seems to work. As such, I've taken to just sitting in front of my computer.

But I don't sit in an office chair. I ride my exercise bike in front of the computer instead :D

I usually watch episodes of the dub on dvd. Some ridiculous-ness that i am up to with that is i could enjoy it if i'm not really doing anything but shaking a toy PET (that's probably only me *sweatdrop*), waiting until the house is deserted because rockman.exe isn't exactly encouraged by my Dad.... Surprised , or just watching it after school.

However, if i want to watch the subbed version, then i end up going to the library and watching it on youtube (but the sound is off Rolling Eyes)

ANY WAY I CAN.

But mostly on my laptop, since my family mocks me and my sister for liking anime.

I like the idea of watching eppys on the big screen too, so thanks to Nero, I've made plenty of custom DVDs so I can watch them on TV instead. I think it's fun being able to add your own menu backgrounds and music (depending on which series, of course...since there aren't many songs from Axess on, other than the OPs and EDs, out there), or background clips work just as well. Encoding just takes forever. And I've been lazy in doing that since Ryuusei started. Neutral Kinda sad with all the Axess .MKV filed episodes (raw or subbed) that I can't put on a DVD, but beggars can't be choosers. Those ones have to be watched on the computer only, until I can get the actual DVDs.

I have no ways to purchase the DVDs, plus, the episodes exhibited here in Brazil are MegaMan NT Warrior, dubbed in portuguese... horrible. ^_^;; Yes, there are DVDs for sale, but as I said, it's MM NT Warrior dubbed, no japanese option. -_-;;

So, the only solution is to download & watch them in my PC. I would gladly buy those DVDs, no doubt.

I think you might be able to translate those MKV files to AVI files with virtual dub (mod). I have no idea about the subs tho... but with Adobe Encore you can import subtitles in loads of types... I've never tried it before, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's possible :D

Virtual Dub conversion is a myth that everyone on the internet suggests but nobody with normal computer experience ever can figure out when they are offered that suggestion!! Including me!!

Joking aside, I have seen that suggested to people numerous times, including on other Rockman fansites, but I've never seen anyone actually say they got it to work, other than those who suggested it. I did try once, but it didn't work. It couldn't read the .MKV files properly or some message like that. Not a single episode worked. I figure it's not worth my time to even consider anymore. Nor could I really buy Adobe Encore right now. But it's something I'll keep in mind, at least.

In the past, I would watch the dub eps when they came on, and nowadays, I watch 'em by means of DVD and laptop. Recently, though, I watched my first raw ep, Beast+ 11, on YouTube! :D ( 'Cuz YouTube is awesome in the way that it just lets you watch the ep instead of having to download it for 10-100 days and a bunch of other stuff I don't understand like BitTorrent/etc. Evil or Very Mad [ I have no patience.]

Speaking of raws and original stuff... MegaMan's seiyuu sounds like Young Link ( Especially when he screams in pain. Razz ) and Zap... I'm sorry, but I'm just too used to the British accent. XD I'd say more, but I'm hungry right now! XP

Usually on my computer. Sometimes though, I'll simply burn the .AVI episodes onto a piece of DVD+R, pop it in my DVD Player and let it play along. (All hail Philips DivX DVD Player! \o/) Sometimes the subtitles get covered up though. And I got to admit, it does look awesome.

Gaia of WPP was kind enough to burn all of Rockman.EXE and the first half of Axess for me onto 4 DVD's, and send them to me, for which I am eternally grateful for and will be thanking her for it for at least the next decade!! I've also seen the Dubbed version, right to the end of Axess, downloaded the movie Subbed; random eps of Stream going by their summaries, and the last 3 eps of Beast in RAW formats. That takes AGES on a 56k connection...

I watch them all on my laptop in Full Screen with my headphones on!! I would really enjoy watching it on TV, but my laptop currently has better picture and sound quality, which is quite sad, now that I think about it. Oh well, that's all I could afford on my student allowance, and I'm quite happy to sit on my bed with my pillows watching Rockman.

It's fun to try and understand the RAW's too, cos my Japanese language skills are practically nonexistant. Smile

EXE has seriously altered my "hobby" life. Its kept a complete anime.video game virgin hooked (lets put it this way...i usually watch movies like John Q or Heat if i watch television at all).

With that said...i watch .EXE at 2AM (im on a different schedule than most) with a meal on my PC before my weight training. Netto-Kuns screaming of "Rockman!" is some what annoying lol but dammit if the show isnt good.

I know i was hooked when Rush was introduced into the "real" world and i didnt blink an eye with regard to accepting it.

I try to watch my episodes on YouTube, but lately they have been getting banned. I now usually just download my episodes and watch them on my computer. I have tried to burn them on a DVD, but that just didn't work out... at all. Unfortunately, we don't have a cord long enough to reach to our TV. So I suppose I am one of those boring people that just watch it on their computer.
