Ryuusei no Rockman episode 20 (SPOILERS)

I've never really made a discusssiontopic for an episode before and I am not sure if I am even allowed to make one because I don't know any Japanese and therefore are unable to really know what exactly was said during conversations. (This episode was quite dialogue heavy)

Still, because I didn't see a topic yet I wanted to give it a try.

English is my second language and although I'll do my best please forgive me my mistakes.

- It seems they finally stopped including the intro we probably all can dream now at this point. I am glad as this gives us more airtime of the series itself.

- The episode starts at night with Rockman and Wolf Forest (a new FM) being locked in a hard battle in a harbor I think. Wolf Forest delivers an effective well-landed blow on Subaru, the force of the blow smashes Subaru into the ground. Wolf comes in to finish the job but is stopped at the moment when the clouds partially hide the moon. Now the light of the moon is partially shielded by the clouds Wolf forest is forced to flee.

- Wolf Forest lands behind a building nearby and cancels the transformation revealing the human host. It seems the human has no idea what exactly has happened.

- Next day, we see Subaru playing a ball-game at school with his classmates. The ball is knocked outside the field and Gonta asks (demands?) Subaru to get the ball, something he isn't entirely happy with.

- Subaru thinks the ball has landed in a very large garden nearby, he seems hesitant to enter but Warrock makes the decision for him and pulls him inside ^^. I like the music at this point.

- Subaru finds the ball and then realizes how beautiful the garden looks, for example the bushes which are cut in animal forms.

-He then starts to talk to the gardener (which is the person who was Wolf Forest last night) probably about how nice the garden looks and if he is the one who made it this beautiful. The gardener, is not as friendly as he seems to ask what Subaru is doing here. The boy explains and shows him the ball. Unfortunately, the ball has a lot of similarity to a full moon causing his body to act strangely when looking at the ball. We see a shot of Wolf Forest inside the Tranzer and the gardener then says something harsh to Subaru to get rid of him. (Subaru immediately rans away shouting "Gomen na sai" I am sorry. Thanks to DrkXFuZion for explaining this).

- Subaru hears the bell of his school and realizes he has to get back. Then we get a very nice scene which has a conversation between the gardener and a very nice girl who brings him something to drink in a cup in that has a shape of a heart.

- I didn't understand the conversation but the gardener does seem like a nice person. The girl also brought a pie for him, unfortunately the pie (with a bit of imagination) looks like a full moon. The girl then shows him a basket with cookies, for some reason he sees a full moon in this as well. His body then begins to react as a tail appears out of his body but luckily she doesn't see it. He pushes the tail back and then eats a lot of her cookies, probably not to disappoint her for baking them, I think.

- The gardener then goes back to work again only to find out his hedge sears (I am not sure of this is the right word for it) stops working. I don't understand the following conversation but I think he wants to buy a new one in the mall and the girl wants to go with him, something he is not really happy with.

- We then see Subaru walking inside the mall (it is pretty large with several floors) observing a very long line of kids waiting for apparently entering a contest/game. Subaru wants to enter too but he is shocked at the amount of people before him. He then stands in the line as well only to be pushed away by Gonta, claiming his place it seems.

- Everyone gets a badge with a number on it, everyone cheers as well as Subaru (which I found a bit surprising but nice to see) I am not entirely sure what the game or contest is about but everyone tries to throw a ball to a target hanging in the air. (I am not sure about this) But for now everyone misses.

- We see the gardener shopping together with the girl, (he bought a new hedge sears but now the girl is dragging him around while she starts shopping) What then follows are a number of (funny) scenes which involves seeing a full moon in a lot of objects forcing a part of his body to transform, he manages to hide them (pushing the transformation back) but there are some very nice moments. We also see Subaru several times inbetween. The poor kid (who becomes out of breath in the end) has to retrieve his ball several times as it lands on the different floors and everytime in front of the gardener, forcing another part of his body to transform. (Funny ^^)

- We have another conversation between the gardener and the girl, the episode ends as we see Gemini Spark (the white and the dark one) standing on some lights close to the ceiling above the mall. The dark Gemini says something, I don't know what but it is quite clear they are planning something. I can't wait to find out.

A very nice and pretty well animated episode. I like the new characters and there were some priceless moments in this episode. Personally I found it a very good one.

Pretty fun episode. Juurou seems like a cool guy, and he's pretty good at covering his tail. Yes, somebody had to attempt that lame joke, I know you were all waiting for me to be the one to say it. All his random minor transformations due to seeing round objects was pretty funny. And his nervousness around Miss Richy Rich was really cute. I think she's giving you signals, Juurou, when she serves you a drink in a heart-shaped glass!! Can't wait to see how things turn out next week.

I have only three words to describe Wolf Forest; Beastman - version - two.

That, in and of itself, makes him the second most kick-ass FM Seijin we've seen so far. (with Gemini Spark being the first)

I learned quite a bit from this episode:

*It's REALLY annoying when an episode starts off with a kick-ass fight, and doesn't finish it!

*It's amazing how many round objects can remind you of a full moon.

*Gonta is a fricking jerk. If he didn't have an FM, I'd hate him as much as Kizumaro.

*It's REALLY annoying having an FM trying to turn you into a middle-aged werewolf while you're trying to mack a chick.

Anywho, this episode was a bit of a disappointment, but at the same time, it kept me hopeful. Next week, we'll be in for one hell of a fight. And with Gemini Spark getting mixed up in this, you can be sure some serious shite is gonna go down.

Here's something interesting I found. Both the seiyuus for Wolf and Juurou are already vets in voicing Rockman characters. Juurou's seiyuu is Tetsu Inada, who voiced Phantom in the Zero Series, and later Model P in ZX.

Wolf's seiyuu, Tokuyoshi Kawashima, previously voiced Yuuichiro Hikari in EXE.

Ummmm, no, Wolf Forest can only stay fused while the full moon is out....the clouds came to partially HIDE the moon. Otherwise the inner-beast inside Juurou dies down and Wolf loses his control over the possession.

It's similar to how in the games, Wolf Forest becames faster when the Full Moon on the field reveals itself, but when the clouds cover up the moon, Wolf Forest slows down.

Gomen na sai = "My apologies". A formal way of saying "I'm sorry".

To see Gemini Spark in the end can bring up many questions to the viewer. Somehow, he might, just might, be one of the masterminds of the whole series so ar. If I'm wrong, strike with lightni... err, a giant matress... and LIVE! *runs for who knows where* Exclamation

I don't see much of a resemblance here...

Did anyone notice at this point of the anime that the game characters whose FMs are actually not your enemies but just some extra fights you can put up, not really completely under the FM's influence? And then there's Harp Note who teams up with you though.
Cancer Bubble control over the kid (what's his name again?) broke down as he got reminded of Misola-chan, and Wolf Forest here strives for control whenever there isn't a full moon... that's almost same what happened to Harp, in which she could control Misola only when she was asleep, then she got knocked and woke up and HEY WHAT'S HAPPENIN' HERE, while WarRock with Subaru clearly stated that he could be able to control him, but can't... didn't something akin to this also happen to Gonta and Ox (although, yes, he's a villain in the game)?

Rock cannot control Subaru because Subaru has a strong heart. FM Seijin can only take full control when exploiting a weakness.

Cancer Bubble's host is Hasami Chiyokichi...

I also love how you just linked to my images even though on TUS I said no one else could link to the screencaps from anywhere else in all the older first-look threads. Now I have to start sticking the reminders in the threads again after all because now I know people DO do it... >.>

I liked this episode. Juurou seems like a very nice guy. And the girl seems to think something good of him. Cute heart-shaped cup too. I wonder what mr. split personality want with him though.

One thing I'm hoping for in the next episode is that Rockman has to save Harp Note when she gets put in a classic "damsel-in-distress" situation. Personally, I think it'd be so kawaii!

Subaru totally had a Sandlot moment at the beginning.

I am curious what Spark Black said at the end. The first time, the two just said ''Wolf.''

I wonder how many more enemies will get Beastman claws. They could've given Wolf Forest actual fingers with claws at the end, but no...

One more nitpick: I can understand a soccerball and a volleyball, but how on earth can a football remind anyone of the moon?
