I remember that I got that ultra rare Mew card (together with my little brother) when we went to see a Pokémon movie in either England or America and when we returned to Holland we were so cool :p And I also remember we traded the one which was accidentally folded for twice as much as it was actually worth (especially since only a week later it was released in Dutch cinema's XD). Also I remember feeling guilty about it XD

Hmmm... also I remember having a gameboy without colour was cool :D

I remember this one DOS game, but for the life of me, I can't remember the name.
You drove a truck across Canada, delivering commodities from town to town.

Ahh, the good ol' days of DOS.

I remember the days of the GBC, and during recess I would see people sitting by the doors with them battling Poke'Mon, and people in giant packs trading Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards. At one point I was into both, but not anymore. I'm more into Music and other games.

I also remember, not that long ago when the third Star Wars came out and my friends were all talking about when to go see it. It's still the only movie I saw twice in theatres.

About A couple months ago, another movie came into theatres called Epic Movie. I remember us talking about how funny it was gonna be and who was going and on what day. People were always asking me "Ya going to see Epic Movie?" and other things like that.

I don't think that things that happened in the last couple of months or year really qualify as being "nostalgia"... I guess, technically, you could be nostalgic about what you had for breakfast, but when I created this topic, my intent was to talk about stuff that mainly happened in the 80s and 90s.

I saw Epic Movie myself... and boy was it terrible. Nostalgia is that last thing I'll feel about that... thing. I'd much rather purge it from my memory.

On the topic of Pokémon, I distinctly remember the days when Gold and Silver were still in the planning, with various new monsters making their way online... Who could forget Mariru (Marill) being called Pikablu. XD
And all those foolish cheat rumours, like being able to catch Togepi in Red/Blue, or Mew being able to be found under a truck.

Well, I do remember those moments very well. Even though some happened recently, the Star Wars memory is something I remember very well.

As for Epic Movie; yes, it did suck. There was however one or two funny moments. Not Funny enough to make me like the movie, but funny enough to make me laugh to myself.

But most of the memories that I mentioned are things that I had enjoyed or enjoyed seeing (besides Epic Movie. Surprisingely, everyone else in my grade who went to see it liked the whole thing!)

If you want an old Star Wars Memory, I remember seeing Episode I and Episode IV on TV for the first time. I got really into it when I was Seven, because that's when Episode I came out. I also recall begging my parents to rent Episode II after it came out.

And for the 90's I remember when my brother was born. That is a memory that I remember quite well.

I remember owning a Superman III comic book, which was later munched on by my then baby sister. Laughing

I remember the days when comic book characters narrate in detail what they're seeing/feeling/thinking/planning even when you can already tell from the illustration what they're seeing/feeling/thinking/planning.
(Try reading any graphic novel from mid-90's onwards, then the Crisis on Infinite Earths next, for those who don't know what I mean).

I remember the Superman cartoons where there's never an episode where most, if not all, of the following phrases were said:
* This is a job for Superman!
* Up, up, and away!
* Great Scott!

When Wonder Woman needed an Invisible Jet to fly. Razz

Do you remember when Nintendo Power used to put awesome posters in their magazine that you'd rip out and plaster all over your wall?
Pepperage Farm remembers...

Do you remember the silver holofoil Megaman X cover that Nintendo Power subscribers got when X first was released? And the pogs that came as well?
Pepperage Farm remembers...

Do you remember when Game Informer was just a little 4 page newsletter you got in the mail if you signed up at FuncoLand, rather than the biggest gaming magazine in the world?
Pepperage Farm remembers...

Do you remember those Pepperage Farm commericals being on TV, and not just because it was on Family Guy?
Rock Miyabi remembers...

Yes, epic movie did have a couple funny parts, and it was not what i thought it was going to be like. I remeber when my friends were hyped about the movie before we saw it, but not so much after. The Willy Wonka scene is not one i wish to remeber *horrified*

I remember when...
- everyone at my school was obsessed with Yugioh, and were constantly challenging each other to duels.
- my Dad had a little Darth Vader toy, and when we watched revenge of the sith.
- I saw a pokemon movie in theaters (yup, there certainly was hype about that Laughing )
- when i first started watching rockman.exe
- when i saw my first anime.
- when my team went outside for no apparent reason

I remember the days of using DOS and Windows 3.1 and floppy disks.

Y'know, I kinda miss that.

anyone remember Bill Nye the Science Guy? man, he was so cool!

i remember the premiere of Pokemon so well. everyday i came home and turned on the tv to WB and did my homework in commercials. i was waiting for Histeria (is that what it was called) and the Pokemon theme came on. i whipped my head up and just stared. i had no idea what that yellow squirell with the lightning bolt tail was, but i wanted one. anyhoo, the next day it was the talk of school and shortly thereafter, Pokemon cards came out at the corner store at the top of my street. i remember chasing this dude named Rocky down the street (with no shoes on, only socks) b/c he came over my house to look at my collection of cards and tried to steal my holographic Ninetails! oh, and i rmember when kids actually got into fist fights for the newset and coolest cards. Mew anyone?

i remember MS-DOS ... and floppy diskettes that were bigger than sandwiches.

i remember the original Gameboy ... and the guy who stole it from me but i didin't have proof so i was s.o.l. and speaking of which i remember getting Pokemon Blue and a teal Gameboy Color for my birthday! sidenote: Pokemon Diamond is coming out next month ... which is my birthday month! weird ...

i remember that even though kids had PlayStations, they would play outside most of the time, usually to act out the moves Crash Bandicoot and Heihachi do.

i remember old school rap and my mom dancing to it at her wedding.

i remember when i got Megaman Battle Network (1) Razz

I remember when my sister and I were really into Pokemon, how we'd watch it on TV after school, how we eagerly anticipated Gold and Silver, how we'd play the games side by side...

I remember when I got my first lego set 12 years ago (it was a castle drawbridge)...

I remember getting a Gameboy Pocket for Christmas so long ago...

I remember when we got our first computer (Gateway)...

I remember when we'd go to Videosmith to rent our VHS's before Blockbuster came along...

I remember so many things...

I remember when Nicktoons only refered to the first three: Rugrats, Doug, and Ren and Stimpy. My personal favorite of these was Doug. Now there's close to a million of them. O_o;;

Speaking of Nickelodeon, there was once a game show where the players played video games and the final challenge was actually "going into the game." Anyone remember what this one was called?

Another game show: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

I remember watching Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, Sonic the Hedgehog (Saturday AM Sonic, not the stupid Adventures of series), and Cro. Those were the days when getting up on Saturday was truly worth it.

I remember when compact discs started replacing audio tapes.

I remember when boy bands were big, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync and the like. I still listen to those discs, especially BB Millenium album.

I remember when Brittney Spears made her debut and shortly afterward every girl in the world was dressing like her.

And I have to agree with the person who said this earlier (sorry, couldn't find you!): I remember when kids weren't trying to be 18 year olds. Back in the day it was actually okay to act your age, but now kids are actually ENCOURAGED to act like teens when they're only 5. Sick world.

Lastly, I remember when a prominent senator's wife (I think Bob Dole's?) suggested a video game rating system, and while it was a good idea, it backfired on her because game makers could make the kind of games she was trying to hold back and cover their butts with an "M" rating. XD

Yeah, i remeber Bill Nye! I used to watch that show all the time to see what kinda science experiments he would try next. The scary thing i remeber was seeing a science video of Bill Nye of youtube where he was acting calm (in science class we watched it, there wasn't any of the regular 'bill nye the science guy' episodes so we couldn't watch it Rolling Eyes Evil or Very Mad Shocked )

I remeber when
- there was a "burpalicious belhc-a-thon" on kid's wb.
- i used to watch animaniacs (how the pinky and the brain torured their creator somtimes)
- i used to watch barney (i was like six and i watched the comfy couch as well XD)
- i took a feild trip to a museum and then the bus broke down on the side of a major highway.
