Pretty sure this isn't the only source, but here is where I found out about it.
For those who doesn't have a clue what's going on, Ouendan is the Japanese version of the infamous Elite Beat Agents game, or the father of the game. This is very exciting to me as I've just played Ouendan (beat all, just need the last rank) recently and loved it, and I am sure that the Ouendan staff will not disappoint me with their Ouendan 2.
Now, well, for those who worked their way through this frustrating yet fun tapping-circle game, what do you think? _________________

I'll just say this joke now; I'm sure people hope the sequel will have better music. But my nephew has it and it seems like an ok game. |

A little more on the new Ouendan game, from the Game Developer's Conference.
There's a new playable group, though the old ones will be returning too.
Inis and Nintendo are talking about developing a Ouendan game for the Wii.
One of the missions appears to involve an army of squid.
Also although it isn't related to the sequel...
They talked about the EBA and apparently the group was partially inspired by Austin Powers, which I find kind of awesome. |

That would be cool. I did like their music on FLCL. But they might not be in the US version. |

If it's Ouendan 2 then it isn't Elite Beat. Ouendan had J-pop music while Elite Beat had a lot of English hits ranging from "September"(rather old) to "Skater Boy"(rather new). While they have the same play style they aren't the same game. Thus, one would think that Ouendan 2 would have J-pop, and probably won't be released in the states. |

True but we'll probably get this as a EBA sequel. |
