Ryusei no Rockman 24+25: Girls are jealous of spoilers

A typical day for our hero, fighting the Denpa Viruses and what have you. meanwhile, his fanclub of one, who counts for about one million is cheering him on.
Suddenly one giant virus appears and zaps Rockman. On noes! Then enter Harp Note! (I think I'm starting to like her a bit now. ) She and Rockman get all buddy-buddy to stop the viruses, much Iincho's dismay. (Who'd you think I was talking about when I said fanclub of one?)
She goes home, all depressed, and next day decides to take it out on everyone within a ten mile radius by barking orders like some rabid dog.
Suddenly, the local nerd Kizamaru realizes: OMG! There is be a concert of Misora today!
So Gonta, Kizamaru and Subaru tell Luna about the concert and she's all of a sudden just peachy.
Meanwhile, Misora is arguing with her manager about what to wear for the concert. Either a really frilly ugly thing, or a skimpy green thing.
Harp is out on the roof looking at all the Humans and muttering to herself when suddenly this creepy lady shows up! It be Ophiuchus!
Ophiuchus is like, where's the Andromeda Key? And Harp says, "Don't worry! I'll defeat Rockman and get it back!"
Apparently Ophichus is out of the loop of the pathetically obvious, since she doesn't seem to know what Denpa Henkan is. Harp has to explain it to her, and the she gets it. She decides she wants to try out this new-fangled thing.
Luna, while waiting for the concert to start, goes to El Bano to wash up.
WarRock senses another FM Seijin! Time for Subaru to go to work!
It's Ophichus! In the mirror! Oh noes!

OMG Next eppy!
So, Kizamaru and Gonta are like, WTF? Where's Iincho? OMG Misora's on! Wootles!
This concert is broadcasted folks! And Misora has the magic ability to change what she's wearing when she's on TV!
Back to Luna. Ophichus hypnotizes Luna into being her host! (insert much Luna fanservice)
Checking in on Subaru and WarRock. Our favorite FM has locked onto the enemy and is closing in. There's just one problem. His Human companion seems less than thrilled to follow. Can't imagine why. It's only in the room marked ladies' restroom. What's the big deal?
Subaru: "Noo!!! I'm not going in there!?"
WarRock: "What's your problem!? Anyway, the FM Seiji is in there!"
Subaru: "You'll never take me alive!"
WarRock eventually prevails and drags Subaru into the ladies' room. Oh noes! It's Ophiuchus Queen! Using her evil death glare of doom she knocks Subaru unconscious! Now she's on a rampage! Everybody run!
While Mr. Manager's trying to start the unccoperative car, Misora and Harp escape! Insert Misora fanservice!
Back to Subaru. Did I mention he was unconscious? In the girl's room? Oh, the irony. Finally he wakes up and realizes there's a really creepy Denpa Ningen on the loose. Denpa Henkan!
So, Ophichus Qeen and Rockman take their battle to the Wave Roads. Only one problem. Seems that Luna is still partially conscious, and she doesn't seem to be aware of the fact she's become a snake-lady. So while she's running around trying to catch her beloved Rockman-sama, he's shooting her, and she can't figure out why. Ophichus Queen on the other hand is very skillful at confusing Rockman. One second she's like "Oh, Rockman-sama!" the next she's like "OMG I KILL JOO!!!"
Enter Harp Note! Luna's jealous (shock) and this sends Queenie into an uproar. Still, Note and Rock break out some uber teamwork to pwn Queenie in the end. Ophichus goes bye-bye and Luna passes out. Harp Note and Rockman muse about the identity of Ophichus Queen for a bit, and Note exists too. Rockman becomes Subaru once again and drags the unconscious Iincho to where Gonta and Kizamaru are waiting. Luna wakes up and throws a fit. No surprises there.
And everything's back to normal. Uber.

Yeah, like, totally go for it man.

My favorite two scenes in these two episodes was the intro battle in the first episode (the look on Luna's face was just precious there), and near the end of the second episode, where Rockman and Harp Note are standing over an unconscious Luna.

I imagine the latter conversation to have gone something along the lines of:
"It was Iinchou."
"You know her?"
"Yeah."
"Girlfriend?"
"Uh? No you got it all wrong."
"I see."

Any Japanese-speakers care to note what was really said?

Here's my thoughts on both episodes.

Ha ha Jealous luna. I figured she would be.

As common with most rich people, her parents are away. Her dad I guess business and her mom probably vacation. That seems obvisous.

Awwwww..... Sad luna is kind of cute. If she only knew megaman's ID.
He'd never get any peace.

And of course, she's bossy.

A dress? Misora would never wear that would she. Out of character if she did.

I don't know what's worse, a dress or what looks to be a swimsuit. The manager reminds me of dex in the face.

Misora got her manager back alright. She's more of the skirt or pants type anyway.

It seems warrock doesn't know what the signs mean. Or he just doesn't care.

Maybe numbergirl was right. Luna's henshin was a little fanservice-y. But I watched all of adult swim last night so I can take some fanservice. And some annoying insanity.

Push button ignition. Don't we have something like that on a few cars? I know it's key less.

Yay. Harp Note sequence. And it is a little fan service-y.

Awwww.... Luna-Queen was cute. Maybe her and Ox will show up again later.

WarRock is an alien, so the concept of gender seperate bathrooms doesn't register with him. Subaru's having a conniption and WarRock can't understand why. Loved it. XD

There was nothing cute about Ophiuchus Queen. She was just all together creepy. The fact that Rockman's henshin sequence is shorter than the others annoys me. But that's because I'm a Subaru/Rockman/WarRock fan. I really could care less about the others. Except Gemini Spark. XD I want Gemini Spark fanservice!

I'm with you there. Gonta, Luna and Misora all have nicely-done henshin scenes... and what does Subaru get? Bear-hugged. The fact that they showed his right after Luna and Misora's scenes just kinda rubbed it into your face.

I feel pretty mixed about these two episodes. Part of the problem with producers delaying a much-wanted episode so long is that you get your expectations up so high that when said episodes don't measure up you just feel... bleh. The episodes were good, and I was smirking several times along the way, but none of them felt worth the wait. I didn't think that Luna's possession was handled near as well as it should have been, given her previous emotional control, the lack of any over-the-top spazzness made me wonder if this was even Luna we were dealing with. She did spazz-out, yes, just not to the extent that I had expected- *especially* when she's got Rock right there in her coils. Literally.

And the art was... all over the place. Rock's wolf-buster head is really causing the animators problems, I don't think I've ever seen so many stretches, awkward poses and oversized proportion disasters stuffed into one episode.

The eps did have their high points, Luna never fails to entertain no matter how subdued that she is. And some of the facial expressions in these two eps were down-right hilarious... but there's no way around the fact that these two eps were nothing but fanservice... and I was saddened that so much fanservice provided a disservice to the episode as a whole.

The episodes themselves were not bad, yet I still have a feeling of disappointment. The episodes held great potential but I can't shake the feeling not all of that potential has been used. Leaving me with a kind of unstatisfied feeling. Maybe I should take a break from the series and start more actively following the Ryusei subs instead. I think a part of the reason I am not as excited anymore with these episodes is because I feel I miss a lot because of my lack of Japanese.


I like the transformations and the scene with the bathroom was funny. Other then that I can't recall anything special I noticed. Too bad, it almost feels like a missed opportunity.

My biggest (and only) complaint with these two episodes is that the animators got real lazy and inserted footage of Misora singing from Ryuusei 11. Not a good choice, as she was wearing different clothes at that time. Tsk tsk animators, tsk tsk.

LQ didn't do these justice IMO. I really liked these two eps. The series has gotten better since Ryuusei 12-14. The new henshins were a nice touch as well... and were both fanservicey, especially Luna's, if you look close enough.

Okay, I thought Ophiuchus' (the Seijin) voice was dead on, but Ophiuchus Queen was a bit too happy for me, but I'll excuse that because it was predominitely Luna in there. I was kinda expecting her to be more on the playful/seductive/sadistic side, but we'll see how she turns out in her next appearance. And what was Gorgan's Eye? An X-Men homage?

Next will be Utagai, looking quite creepy in his overcoat. Looks like Cygnus is still in charge. Should be good.

Here's some astrological tidbits on Ophiuchus:

Brightest Stars: Alpha Ophiuchus, Lambda Ophiuchus.

Location: Near the center of the Milky Way, in between Scorpius and Sagittarius.

Well Subaru will probably have other henshin's for his other forms so I guess they are keeping his regular one basic. Also Luna has hypnotized eyes before hand, but her eyes are normal during the henshin. So I guess she will be cooperating with her FM in later appearances, though whose side she will be on isn't known.

I know what happens in the games, but has Ophiuchus appeared in the manga yet? Anybody know what she does there?

Hm, Ophiuchus' seiyuu, Kaoru Morota, provides the voice of AiAi in Super Monkey Ball, Operator in SD Gundam Force, and minor characters in various other shows.

I think that for the time being, it's safe to say that both Gonta's and Luna's henshin sequences are complete. That's not to say the Ox Fire and Ophiuchus Queen were one-off fights. Considering Subaru and Misora are the only active protagonists for the time being, it would make sense that their henshin sequences would look the most complete.

That's what I meant though. As villian's thats probably all they will get. However I really think they will wind up helping Warrock in the end. Yeah I know they don't in the game but the anime doesn't really follow that (ex. Pride and Knightman which carried over oddly in the games as well almost as if they forgot they were bad.) Heck the anime already made all the neutral FM's evil as it is. How I don't know as Ox seemed pretty evil. Ophiuchus however seemed to be a friend of Harp's (I don't think they were in the game) so that could be a factor.

Actually this episode revealed that Harp herself still isn't quite good yet as she still plans to get Warrock at some future point(though she could have been lying) We still don't know her motivations yet. She could just be pacifiying Misora biding her time as they really haven't interacted with Subaru and Warrock yet.

Luna and Misora's henshin sequences are... interesting. Luna looked hypntized when she did it, but I have to agree with Tachyon 360, it does look like something fron a Sailor Moon episode. I also forgot , Misora's henshin seq. took a lot of time. Plus, if anyone could help explain if I'm right, that Luna was hypnotized (not in the game)?
