I hope that, unlike the first Final Mix, the options like attack/magic/etc are in english.
Also, I hope that they will put English voices in the Re:CoM

Well, since the game is out in Japan now, who wants to be spoiled with the new secret movie!!!??? I sure did! So enjoy, if you love spoilers. I'll even hide the link under spoiler tags, just in case. These things always leave me with so many questions and so much anticipation...

Now, did anyone else notice:

-the evil keyblader had armor similar to evil Riku?

-the old man was wearing clothes rather similar to Ansem from the first game?

And is it just me...or did the kid who got frozen look a bit like Roxas? It was the hairstyle that tipped me off.

And the Kingdom Hearts that was summoned was blue. Interesting.

Oh yes, and I'll be shocked if ANYONE is surprised to see Mickey.

And oh yeah, DUUUUUUUDE!

I actually constructed a comparison showing who I think the three knights are:

Roxas, Namine and Ansem

Dont Flame my picture about it because a whole bunch of people see it my way that play Kingdom Hearts

Even though Nomura's declared that the three nights are all new characters, I noticed the similar appearances as well. Oh well, a lot of things change from when the secret movies are shown to the final product, so maybe we'll see a change in that regard at some point.

This movie of the new KH coming out... it has such powerful motives to it. I mean, there is a scene of tragedy in the film for all I know! Wow, It would be a surprise to see a main character (a good guy) actually die in the series Exclamation . Plus, the battle scene is beyond good... it's truly OUT THERE! Oh, and sorry if the dying sentence offends anyone Embarassed .

Well, I dunno about the Namine similarities myself, CFZ. But I believe you're closer with how much the one kid looks like Roxas. To take info from an RPM user (Zero, to give credit) however, the remaining character does have a hairstyle that is almost exactly Xemnas', only brown and shorter. Plus he has the same color eyes. (So, since his heartless and nobody versions were defeated, that just leaves the original, Xehanort. Sorry, technically not Ansem Razz) To me, that's the most interesting possibility of a former character showing up, although I sorta doubt any of them are the Kingdom Hearts characters we know.

Here's a little snippet of what HeatShadow was talking about:
Quote:
Tetsuya Nomura insists his next game won't be Kingdom Hearts III, but a whole new series.

However, the new title is expected to share similarities with the outrageously popular JRPG-meets-Disney series, though the decorated producer was shy on exactly how it would.

"First, it's not Kingdom Hearts III," Nomura told Dengeki PlayStation. "Of course, because we're calling it a 'new' series, it won't be KHIII. Also, it's a series, so it probably won't be just one title."

I wonder if the frozen character is really dead, though. True, it's Disney related, but I think he should've shattered a bit more after that fall. So I'ma gonna hold off on saying that he truly died in this vid, unless that info was translated for sure. *Casts a Phoenix Down*

We saw his eyes move after being frozen, so i don't think he's dead.

Also, apparently the brown-haired soldier appears as a secret boss during the game. Someone made a video showing the conversations before the battle, and there's a video somewhere with the battle's results. The video recorder translated a few lines, and the only one of interest is where the knight states that he "has hatred towards Xehanort". That pretty much confirms that the old man is Xehanort, which would make sense considering his clothes and those of his double.

Some scenes in Final Mix + hint that Xehanort might be one of the soldiers.

In one (though sometimes they're both clumped together), Xemnas is going through Hollow Bastion and recounts his conversation with Ansem and then he says that he hasn't seen an "old friend" in a while. There's a bit of a pan on armor and a keyblade.

The next one, Vexen, Zexion, and Xigbar have a bit of a convo really prior to Kingdom Hearts. Vexen wants to see Xemnas about something, but Zexion tells him that he's sleeping, then Xigbar comes in and tries to get Zexion to gossip. He mentions stuff about meeting a friend and the other room might have his other friend

But then again, it could imply something else D: But I seriously doubt that he's the old man DX *hates theorizing*

EGM was the only place that went out on a limb and claimed it was set for a fall quarter release in the US. That was back in January, some websites ran with it, but that's pretty much been retracted everywhere now. So all we're left with is the misleading "TBA." Nothing has seriously been announced yet, and we're all left wondering and hoping. Even though it has the remake, you just wonder if that's gonna be enough for SquEnix to make it worldwide.

There is WAY more new content than KH1:FM ever dreamed of having, and tossing in a complete makeover of Chain of Memories should constitute some thought into worldwide release.

They'd probably release a remake of chain anyway. This just makes it easier.

Id say take both Final Mixes and the COM remake and release them on Wii, just make it regquire either the classic controller (20 bucks at most stores) or use a gamecube controller for it, It wouldnt be that hard for a simple port of the final mixes or just spend some time and rescheme it for the wiimote

... Why would you want it to be on the Wii? Isn't it just fine for the PS2? Also, you'd be playing on the fact that a majority of Wii games are merely ports of other games on other platforms. Would you want to continue to bring the Wii's image down by continuing the flood of ports?

Agreed. Plus, the controls cannot be modified to KH's gameplay, so its highly likely that it will go out for PS2. On a side note, putting both final mixes and the now 3D CoM in one package seems right. All thats missing is a fancy 3-disc case with a limited-edition cover art to go with it.

Would you rather play it on PS3 or Wii? I know they are PS2 games but Sony might get nasty and make them PS3 exclusives in order to force people to buy it. I really dont care if its on Wii or PS2 but Id like a Wii version

Thats why I said make it so you can use a gamecube controller or the classic one because its pretty much the same as the ps2 controller(pretty much, but not exactly)

It would make no sense at all for Sony to suddenly make it a PS3 game. Even if it would sell for 'em, I don't think they want to purposely hype a non-next-gen game made for a next-gen system. Plus, I really doubt they would suddenly have flexibility with the rights to the game to switch it over to a different system all together. The game has been released already, afterall. I can't recall any games released on one system in Japan and then suddenly switched to a different system just for the English release.

SeijinKage13 wrote:

And as far as that goes, remember, the Final Mix versions are really just supposed to be the English version of the game, which had some differences from the original Japanese game. Then they throw in some new additions so that the Japanese gamers will buy the same game all over again. So getting the first Final Mix overseas has pretty much a 99% chance of never happening. Also why I really worry that we won't see this one being sold outside of Japan either. Again, we all know the content is vastly different from the first, but I'm still sadly skeptical.
