Okay, I've just seen the episode, and all I can say it wow, just wow...

The Subaru vs Cygnus Wing fight is quite possibly the best fight I've seen in the Rockman anime, Movie included. The punching, kicking, swordplay... Everything about it was just amazing and incredibly detailed.

And that goes for the plot as well. We have our first mention of Cepheus, our 'FM-O,' and we delve into what exactly happened to Daigo way back in Ryuusei 1. And there is Hikaru, carelessly tossing his ipod, erm, Wave Scanner, watching the whole thing.

I still wonder what that homicidal robot in Utagai's office is for, though, and when did the Cryslar Building plant itself in downtown Densan, Komada, wherever the hell they are? Well, my expections for next week are through the roof, so don't let me down Ryuusei, don't let me down.

Don't forget that it was probably one of the only fights we've ever seen where the combattants don't yell out their attack names or Battle Cards.

lol, that's what I thought was the only downer of the battle XD I kinda like the "Battle Card! Sword! Predation!" He could've just said it without actually constantly showing the animation, but yeah I can't complaint :D

I like how you can see Subaru toss a card up over C-Wing and "predate" it into a sword as he dashes toward C-Wing. Great detail.

I noticed it as well and I really liked it. I hope they will do this more often from now on. While I don't have anything against the scenes in which Rockman used a battlecard when Warrock 'eats' one to activate it I do feel that these scenes interrupt the flow of the battle sometimes. To see this was really refreshing, IMHO.

Very neat. I was wondering what that thing was. I first thought it was one of Cygnus Wing's Shittappa, then I thought it was one of his feathers. Very, very impressive. Definitely the best fight in a loooooooooong time.

My stars, Utagi's bad-dude points just shot through the roof... I can't believe that Mr. Decaf turned into such a great villian during his twenty-ep hiatus. And I strike my comments about him having to have a great return from the record, he has more than fulfilled my expectations.

As great as the animation and fight scene was (and again I'm impressed by how they interacted with the real world during this ep) I found the plot development in this ep to be even more fascinating. Utagi's sudden appearance outside of WaveForm*, the sudden gut-wrenching bombshell, the fall-out between Subaru and WarRock. It's just delicious.

As towards the non-attack-shouting. I've heard that yelling or screaming when you're doing something short and quick, such as punching, actually increases the force you put into the motion. And so that's one possible (non-promotional) reason behind the attack shouting. Whether that's true or not, I have my doubts, but I'm willing to bet that the reason they weren't used in this ep was because all of the weapons and techniques had been named beforehand. If something new had been pulled out, then they would have found some way to get it's name in.

And I'm willing to bet that Cygnus Wing was lying about Diago's demise, and the only reason that WarRock didn't correct that lie was because Cygnus Wing was right there and correcting the lie would have told Cygnus more than WarRock wanted him to know. But regardless, this was well worth the twenty-ep wait.

*Note that this is just the name I have given to denpa-whatever. I can never remember how it's spelled so I've just taken to calling it WaveForm.

Wave Form? You mean Denpa Henkan? XD
And for real, Utagai has gone way up on the bad guy list. To think that he went from being timid and suspicious of his own shadow to pulling stunts like throwing his former boss off a building. ._. Crazy.

Oh, and did anybody notice that Gonta mentioned "denpa ningen"? Just a random thought, though I wonder how he would know. *shrug* Unless everyone knows that term by now.

Denpa Henkan means "Radio Wave Conversion". He means Denpa Ningen, or "Radio wave human".

And I don't see how "Denpa Ningen" coming from Gonta's mouth can be such a surprise. It's not a "term"...it's literally what Rockman is....a human who can become radio waves. >.>

I'd like to point out that when Subaru was in his dazed moment of stupor, Cygnus Wing did call out his whirlwind attack. (What's it called exactly? It sounds to me like he always shouts, "Danshikou Swarm!" with that move.)

To answer that, it's Dancing Swan. It is also amazing how well detailed the fight was.

Although it would be a very interesting and dark plot twist if Warrock really killed Daigo. I personally feel that most likely they won't go that way. Still, this doesn't necessarily mean that Cygnus was lying. Maybe Warrock pretended to some of the other FM's hat he did killed Subaru's father or other humans but in reality he was helping him and his crew. There are a lot of possibilities.

Still, Warrock does have a lot of explaining to do and I guess one of the next episodes will definitely be dialogue heavy. Warrock really should be honest with the boy now.

You've got to give him SOME credit, though. He genuinely cared about Subaru. While they were falling, he was willing the denpa henkan to hold until they hit the ground so Subaru won't get hurt too much.

I think I watched this ep about 10 times now. I usually stop caring after I posted them Razz

Gotta love the fight scene, the "camera" wavering on emotional moments, and the detail on the reflection on the building's windows while they were falling..... Exclamation

And, as a few already mentioned, Utagai being eeeeeeeeevil. He's almost... attractive now.

Maybe I sounded a bit too harsh, Warrock definitely cares for Subaru. But I don't think Subaru can bring himself to work together with Warrock anymore until he has heard the truth about what really happened with his father. Warrock just can't keep this information behind anymore IMHO.

--------

After watching the episode several times the last few days, I realized that although the fight scene was very well done and enjoyable to watch, it was especially the last part which really made an impression on me. Seeing how the Denpa Henkan failed for a moment by seeing Subaru's normal clothing underneath it was really well done. I loved that moment. Poor Subaru, that was a big shock for him to endure after hearing Cygnus'/Utagai's words, aside if he was lying or not.

Together with episode 17, these are now my two most favorite episodes.

Methinks you're thinking a bit too much. We already know what's going to be happening in the next few episodes so we know everything's going to be fine...

For future reference, in case anyone ever asks again...Cygnus Wing's attacks are Cygnus Feather, Dancing Swan (Swan...NOT swirl like people used to think) and Wataridori (not Battery dori like what was written on wiki before).

(in fact, I ever stuck them here: http://www.rockman-exe.com/online/viewtopic.php?p=134934#134934)

You're probably right. I often have the habit of thinking too much about certain things, it is part of the fun for me when following a series. ^^

Still, aside that I did read in the future episodes topic that Shingo Adachi has done the next eppie as well, I was very careful not too read what the future episodes were about. (Yes, I realize I shouldn't have looked at that topic in the first place, as I had to use my hand in blocking a part of the screen. I can be such an idiot sometimes)

In the end, there is nothing wrong with a bit of speculating for those who don't or don't exactly know (like me) what will happen in future episodes? Wink

EDIT: Thanks for the link DrkXFuZion.

You needn't worry, Aries. As the main character, Subaru is immortal. At least for the duration of the series.

How so? Yusuke was the main character of his anime, Yu Yu Hakusho and he died twice!

...But he did come back...XD;;;

I liked this episode a bunch. The fighting was fast paced and didn't suck. Utagai's tricking Subaru was shocking...

Also, Utagai! =D

Though I'm just dying to hear what WarRock has to say for himself, if anything.
The next episode is called Cygnus Corp right? If so, that proably means that an army of sorts is being built or will be built.
But, dang, who'd a thoght that Cygnus would be such a major player in the series. I expected him to come back, be beaten up again, and then that's the end of it, but this...! Crazy. Shocked
