Rockman.EXE - Dark Navi Rising

After arranging this with Megawoman.EXE, this fanfic will be linked with her fanfic, Lan and Lyne. It will be a kind of spinoff for my characters, perhaps others too. It will be their story that will begin in between chapters 10 and 11 of L&L Season 3. I don't own Rockman.EXE in anyway, so don't sue me.

For any character descriptions, and most of the story, you’ll need to read my fanfic, Forced Hybrids, and the whole of Lan and Lyne to clearly understand this.

With the removal of the edit button on Rockman.EXE Online, I will list the credits here and put more additions on chapters when new characters appear that belong to others.

(Chapter 1)

(Japanese SciLab)

"Yuuichiro, we've tested everything, extensively! I don't think Saratu wants to wait much longer to get back home" Neta told him. She had just been cured of the effects of the Windus virus, and Yuuichiro had suggested making sure that all of her programs hadn't been damaged in any way. She was getting a little impatient.

"Neta, you know we've yet to question you about your activities with Nebula. We know that you've broken the law on multiple occasions while you and Saratu were working under Regal" Meijin replied. Neta sighed as she remembered this.

"But don't worry. We know that her most recent activities weren't her fault. We've arranged for the two of you to be under surveilance for a little while. The Net Saviors watching you will be Kurisutaru and Ademu. I've seen their work so far, and I don't think they'll let you off easy because you know them either" Yuuichiro added.

"I wouldn't expect them to, but I don't think they'll need to worry about us doing anything" Neta replied.

"Personally, we don't think that either, but we need to make sure" Meijin said.

"Now then, you know we have one more program left to test. Your Netbattle Program" Yuuichiro told her.

"I don't feel any errors in the program, but I guess you're right" Neta answered as she formed her default weapon, the Net Blaster.

(Creamland NetSavior HQ)

"You're still happy about seeing Saratu?" Ademu asked.

Kurisutaru nodded. "I hadn't seen Saratu in months Ademu, and I only heard from her every once in a while through email, which she'd give me late at night, and she always made sure it was too late for me to be up. At least things are going better for her now she's away from Nebula" she replied. "C'mon Ademu, I know you were happy to see Michirure-chan" she added.

"Of course, I thought she was killed by Ayra" Ademu answered.

"Though now you know she's alive and well Ademu, what are you going to do now?" Umi questioned from her PET at Kurisutaru's waist.

"I'm not sure yet. I'm still deciding on that" Ademu replied.

Kurisutaru looked at him. "Well, I hope whatever you decide, we can stay in touch" she said.

"We won't be going that far away Kurisutaru, whatever Ademu decides to do. And even if we did, we'd still keep in touch with you through the internet" Dragoman told her, then smirked before he spoke again. "Umi still has to defeat me in a Netbattle".

"We'll figure out a way to beat you eventually Dragoman" Umi shot back.

(Deep in the Ura net...)

A black bodied navi was fuming. She had red gems on her arms, legs, chest, and her helmet. A black visor covered her eyes, but it was easy to see that she was in a bad mood.

"There's gotta be some way to get back at him!" she yelled out, deleting another of the Ura net's viruses. "First he and Nightmare ditch me, then for whatever reason he's working with the humans to protect that Lyne girl that Wily wanted me to bring to him, then he screws up the only chance I had in becoming a Half-Navi by separating Saratu from me... damnit!" The navi ranted. She calmed down a little and thought about what to do. "I'll need to take Lyne to Wily before Regal will ever want to see me again. But how do I get close enough to her? There's gotta be a way...." she said, going into thought.

Ayra smirked evilly as she thought of something. "He mentioned being a old friend to my other half that night. That might mean that Lyne also knows her... If I could find her, I could use my other half to get to her..." she added to herself as she linked herself away from the Undernet.

(Japan, Hikari home)

"Well, thanks for telling me Netto. I'll tell Saratu-chan when I get home. Say hi to Lyne for me" Kurisutaru smiled over a phone call, before she hung up.

Netto looked a little confused as Rockman reappeared on the screen of his PET. "When did Kuri-chan meet Lyne?" he wondered.

"Don't you remember Netto-kun? She mentioned a few months ago that she met Lyne at the Ball in Creamland last year. She met Connor then too." Rockman answered.

"Kuri-chan was there? I thought I caught a glimpse of Umi in the crowd, but I wasn't sure if it was her. If I wasn't working that night I'd have probably gone after Umi when I saw her" Netto replied, hanging his head.

"Don't worry about it Netto-kun" Rockman said.

(Japanese SciLab)

"This is weird. Your system shouldn't be tiring this easily" Yuuichiro told Neta.

Neta was on the monitor, on one knee, panting heavily with an arm held over her chest. "I don't think my system has recovered fully from the Windus' effect. Most of my systems are working without trouble, but using my battle programs tires me out too quickly" she replied.

Yuuichiro nodded to this as he checked over some readings on the monitor. "You'll probably have to keep from fighting for a little while, so your system can recover it's strength" he suggested, getting a nod from Neta. "But, since we've made sure that most of your systems are working fine, we can let you go back to Saratu" he added.

Neta shook her head, which surprised him. "Not yet. I have a few things I won't get around to doing for a while if I go back now. For one, I have to go give Rush back to Meiru-chan" she explained as she got back to her feet.

"And you want to thank Lyne and Connor for their help" Meijin added.

Neta nodded. "I'd still be infected if it wasn't for their aid, and if it hadn't been for Connor's fight with Saratu and Ayra, then Saratu would still be working under Regal" she said.

"I can give Rush back to Meiru, and I'm pretty sure Saratu wants to thank Connor too. Did Saratu speak to you about what happened that night?" Yuuichiro questioned.

"I'm looking into it. I think Regal was up to something, that he didn't want Saratu knowing about. There was a reason that she was getting sick because of the fusion with Ayra, and I'm going to find out what" Neta replied.

"I hope that you find out what he was doing" Yuuichiro said as he got up.

"I can see you're tired Yuuichiro-kun. You should go home and relax. You too Meijin" Neta told them as she stretched a little herself. "I'm going to talk to Saratu" she added as she linked off.

Yuuichiro smiled a little as he watched her do so, then turned to leave the room.

(Japanese SciLab, Saratu's room)

"Thanks for waiting Saratu-chan" Neta smiled as she returned to her PET.

Saratu smiled a little as she saw her return. "I didn't want to go back home without you. Kuri-chan's worried enough about you as it is" she said, then noticed something. Neta was in her normal armor. "You've been cured" she added.

Neta moved her arms around a little. "It's great being able to move freely again. This is the best I've felt in months" she replied. "But there is something that's been bothering me ever since the vaccine was used on me." she spoke up.

Saratu looked a little confused. "What's that Mom?" she asked.

Neta opened up a window in front of her, and made sure that Saratu could see it. "This thing. I don't know why, but a disguise program was created of my infected form. It added itself to my system when the vaccine was used." she explained.

"Have you tried the program out?" Saratu questioned.

Neta nodded. "It makes my system exactly the way it was when I was infected. The only difference is that I can deactivate the form whenever I want." she answered. "I think I'll hang onto it for now, it might come in handy" she added as she closed the window, then turned to her daughter. "We can go home now if you want Saratu" she told her.

"You want to take me?" Saratu asked, getting a nod in response from Neta. "But we need a Dimensional Area for that" she said.

"I asked Meijin to set one up, so we could go. Do you still have your Synchro Chip and Data Sync Chip?" Neta questioned, Saratu nodded as she got the two chips out, slotted the Data Sync Chip into her PET, before slotting in the Synchro Chip. "Cross Fusion!" the two of them called out as they fused.

'I can take you home, but I'll need to come back here once I have. I need to finish up a few things here' Neta explained to her. Saratu nodded.

R-Neta activated the Data Sync Chip, and logged herself onto the net.

(Creamland, Carnation Home For Children)

"Thanks Ademu" a young, short red haired girl told Ademu. He had gone to see his little sister, Michirure. He had just handed her PET to her.

"Don't mention it. Heart should be working fine now" Ademu told her.

Michirure nodded as she started up her PET, she laughed a little "I just can't believe that up until a few months ago, I was inside here" she said.

"At least you're back in your body and you're safe now. How have the last few days been?" Ademu questioned.

"A little boring, but it sounds like you're still having fun, Ademu-niisan" Michirure answered.

Michirure's PET finished booting up, and Heart formed on the screen. She smiled as she saw her operator. "It's good to see you Michirure-chan" she said with a wave.

Michirure looked down at the PET. "You too Heart. Ademu told me that it was you that told him I was here. I don't understand how you even knew, since you were a Ghost Navi" she said.

"I don't remember how I found out. My memories of being a Ghost Navi are mixed up" Heart answered.

(Internet City)

"You're serious Mom?" Saratu said, laughing a little.

'I don't think your father knew what to expect, since I don't think Kuri-chan had told him much about the infection. But I think he was fine about it once he got over his surprise. Having their company over the holidays was nice though' Neta answered with a smile inside of their fused form.

R-Neta looked around. "Thanks for not taking me back straight away Mom. I think I needed this time alone with you" Saratu spoke up.

'Don't mention it. I used to come up here to clear my head while Yuuichiro-kun was training me to be a Navi. I thought you needed it because of what's happened in the last few months' Neta replied.

Saratu looked confused. "But wouldn't that have been in the Old Internet City? It was destroyed about nine years ago" she asked.

Neta just smiled at her. 'You listened in your history classes before we started working for Regal. That is true, but you'd be surprised how many simalarities there are between the new and old Internet Cities' she answered.

"Do you know what happened back then? You were in Japan at the time, weren't you?" Saratu questioned.

Neta paused before speaking again. 'It happened in between me being transfered to the net, and me being activated as a Navi. Both Rockman and me were meant to be finished earlier, but because of Alpha's interference back then, our project had to be pushed back while SciLab's scientists stopped Alpha' she replied.

"Alpha? I know I've heard that name before..." Saratu said, before going into thought, trying to remember where she had heard the name.

'You might have. Alpha is a very dangerous virus that not many know the full story of. Because I wasn't active back then, I don't know all the details. But don't worry about him now Saratu-chan. We should be getting back home now anyway' Neta told her.

Saratu sighed, but nodded, as she remembered that Neta had some things to take care of back at the Science Labs.

Wow! :O This chapter is amazing Elecguts. I'm looking foward to the next chapter. Hopefully in the next few weeks we'll be able to get ch 12 up and running for season 3. Right now I'm knee deep in studies and my husband is as well, so it might be a little bit. Also I have to work on the inspirational trian for him as well. Keep up the good work.

Thank you Megawoman.EXE. I am fairly good with fanfic ideas, and my writing has improved throughout my time writing my fanfics, but just remember while you're reading this, that this story wasn't possible without your's and Zoadiac's work on Lan and Lyne.

(note: This chapter takes place the morning after the events of L&L chapter 11)

(Chapter 2)

"Don't worry Netto-kun, Saito-kun. She's fine. Connor is with her now at the Science Labs" Neta told them. She had just come from the Science Labs, on her way to give Rush back to Meiru.

"That's good to hear, but are you sure you should be away from the Science Labs so soon?" Rockman asked.

Neta put a hand on his shoulder. "Thanks for your concern, but I feel fine" she replied.

"How is Saratu doing?" Netto questioned. Neta turned to the screen link beside Rockman, with him on it.

"Saratu-chan is doing fine. She's at home now, and I hope that now, things can get back to normal, now that we're away from Nebula" Neta answered.

"I feel the same. Neta, I thought you were going to give Rush back and plug-out" Saratu said on a screen link that popped up beside Neta.

Netto looked confused. "I thought Kuri-chan said that Saratu believes Neta now" he spoke up.

"She does Netto-kun. I don't mind her continuing to call me Neta, it is my Navi name afterall" Neta replied, then turned to Saratu. "I thought I'd drop by here while I was in Akihara. I'm just about done here. Is Kuri-chan or your father home?" she asked.

Saratu nodded. "Both of them are. Dad confused me with Kuri-chan when I got back last night-" she began, but she was cut off by Neta, whom rolled her eyes.

"Typical Reo. You know he's joking around with you Saratu, he can tell you two apart as easily as I can" Neta told her.

"Anyway, Kuri-chan's happy I'm back. She's cooking tonight to celebrate my coming home" Saratu replied.

Neta's eyes widened for a moment, before she opened a window, typed something onto it, making a file appear in front of her. She grabbed it and held it out to Rockman. "Do you mind giving Rush to Meiru-chan for me? I have to go talk to your sister. Now" she asked. He shook his head, and she gave the file to him, before quickly linking off.

Netto looked puzzled as he saw her do this. "What just got into Neta?" he questioned.

Saratu laughed a little as she figured it out. "It was Mom that taught Kuri-chan how to cook, and she's been waiting for a chance to try Kuri-chan's cooking. My guess is she just remembered about a way that she could do it" she answered.

"She's going to talk to Lyne about a copy of her Backup Program, so that she can get the Reality Jump Program. But I don't know if she'll just be able to get a copy of it from Lyne. It wasn't exactly her choice to give it to the Navis that she has so far" Rockman added.

"I think Forte mentioned the program to me when I was in Japan. It'll be great having Mom out here without a Dimensional Area if she can get it" Saratu said. "Anyway, I need to get to school. I'll see you later Netto" she added as she signed off.

(Minutes later, Creamland)

"I know it's a pain Saratu-neechan, but our higher ups are just being careful. Why else do you think they pulled a few strings so that either me or Ademu were in all of your classes?" Kurisutaru asked.

"It shouldn't be for too long Saratu. Once they're convinced you and Neta won't be trouble anymore, Kuri-chan and me will get assigned to another case" Ademu added as the three of them walked on.

"I, for one, can't wait until then. I can't believe we got stuck on watch duty" Dragoman huffed from his PET.

"You know it's more than that Dragoman. Forte's report of the museum incident said that Regal had a plan to create a Half-Navi with Ayra, and we know Saratu was part of his plan. We have to keep an eye on her in case she comes after Saratu again" Umi told him.

"If Ayra did come after Saratu, Ademu and me would have to fight her. We don't even know if you and Kurisutaru can Cross Fuse" Dragoman replied.

"He also mentioned how powerless you two were against her then" Umi replied.

Dragoman turned his head to the side in Ademu’s PET. “She was Cross Fused with Saratu last time I fought her. She ran when I overpowered her.” he shot back.

"I'm not completely defenseless you know. Now that Neta's been cured of the Windus' effect, I can Cross Fuse with her again" Saratu spoke up.

Kurisutaru put a hand on her shoulder. "Easy Saratu-chan. We shouldn't need to worry about her" she said, then turned to Ademu "Forte deleted Ayra then, right Ademu?" she questioned.

Ademu nodded. "Yeah, but that won't stop Regal from making another Navi like her" he answered.

Kurisutaru sadly nodded. "True. Saratu-chan, do you have Mama with you?" she asked.

"I'm listening Kuri-chan" Neta spoke up from her PET. Saratu got it out of it's holster, and Neta looked tired. Kurisutaru looked worried as she saw this. Neta noticed. "I was up most of the night, watching over Lyne, among other things." she explained with a yawn.

"Did something happen? She'd have been at home if there wasn't" Saratu asked.

"She was kidnapped by Zodiac. Alpha forced her to absorb her old Navi, Combit, after one of his operatives badly damaged her" Neta answered.

"But hasn't Lyne always been a Half-Navi?" Dragoman asked.

Neta shook her head. "Neither Lyne or Connor were meant to be Half-Navis. How it happened to both of them is too long a story. The only reason I know it is because I had the time to listen to it from Lyne. Combit was Lyne’s Navi before she became a Half-Navi" she answered.

(Japan)

"Well, it's good to hear that Neta has been cured. Things will finally get back to normal for her and her family now, right?" Meiru asked Netto while they were on their way to school.

"I don't see why not. Saratu's not working under Regal anymore" Netto replied.

"But is Hikari-hakase sure the infection won't come back?" Dekao questioned.

"It could be too soon to know if it will yet. I'm sure Papa will keep a close eye on her in case it does" Rockman answered, Netto nodded in agreement.

As they reached the school, they noticed the large crowd outside. "What's going on?" Netto asked.

(In Class, minutes later...)

"Figures it'd be rumors of Enzan coming to the school on Net Savior business" Netto sighed.

"We had a hard time getting in this morning because of that crowd" Meiru added.

"Everyone’s know about Enzan being a Net Savior for some time now. What would spark a rumor of him coming here?” Roll asked.

“We should keep alert, in case there IS something that needs our attention” Rockman spoke up.

(Internet City)

Ayra had been searching for her other half for some time, but had so far no luck. ‘I know I sensed her. The signal’s gone now, so she must have left the server’ she thought to herself.

“She can’t know I’m back. She doesn’t know we’re connected.” Ayra added aloud. She was stood on a high ledge overlooking the city.

Suddenly, her Dark Aura activated, and her head began to hurt. She held it as she staggered around a bit, claws looked to be forming on her hands and fangs looked to be forming in her mouth. She resisted the transformation, and forced it back inside of herself. She dropped to her knees, panting heavily.

“W-what the hell was that...?” Ayra asked out. She heard a voice laugh out. It annoyed her. “Who are you?!” she demanded.

“It looks like even his copies go through the transformation” the voice told her.

Ayra got back to her feet. “You’ve been following me. Regal has known I’m back since I reformed?” she questioned.

“He knew you would eventually. He asked me to come looking for you” the navi behind her answered. He walked closer, and his features could be seen. He was a large, black armored navi, with dark blue designs in places. A face guard covered his face, and his eyes could be seen, which were completely black.

“What do you and Regal know about this... transformation you mentioned, Chaos?” Ayra asked.

“Not too much I’m afraid. A few months ago Lyne revealed herself as a Half-Navi, and thanks to you spying on him, we found out that Forte is also one. While one half of both of them is Navi, we came to a startling discovery. The other half is human, but not completely. I believe that this other part to Forte is affecting you now.” Chaos explained.

“Part of them isn’t human or Navi?” Ayra questioned, before going into thought.

“Regal-sama knows that none of them are aware you’ve reformed. Your orders are to find out what you can about this. Delete any Navi that tries to get in your way. Also, not to forget about your last mission” Chaos told her, before logging out.

Ayra smirked evilly. ‘She knows both of them, she’s bound to know something. I just have to beat it out of her when I find her’ she thought, before linking off.
