What got you all into RockMan/MegaMan

I was watching Cartoon Network one day and NT warrior came on. I watched about 4 episodes before I realised I was hooked That was about 3 or 4 years ago (can't remember). It wasn't for another 2 years before I realised that there were games and such.

I still haven't played any of the games, cause I don't own a DS, but I'm seriously considering buying one so that I can play them.

Well, the first Megaman game I ever player was Xtreme. I never beat it, and only got up to the second level of the Core.

Years later, I was watching something on WB, and saw commercials for NTW, which was slated to premire in a few weeks. I saw the first few episodes, and liked them. Not long afterwards, I discovered that there were games to go along with it, and rented BN3. I got up to the battle with Metalman in the N1 before I had to return it. A year or so later, I decided to purchase it, and then bought BN4 when it came out a week later. Never looked back.

Now I've started branching off into the Zero and ZX series, and when Starforce hits the shelves, I'll be there, sure as day.

It started when I was a wee youngin and the Gameboy was the only video game system my parents allowed me to have. Along with Donkey Kong Land, Mario and Kirby, I picked up the first Megaman GB game purely on a whim.

It was awhile before I actually got into it because I played Donkey Kong almost nonstop until I beat it, and when I actually started Megaman, the bosses kicked my ass. When I finally worked up the guts to stick with it, I was hooked. I cannot tell you how many times I played that game from start to finish, keeping notes of my fastest times and every single password combination that existed.

My horizons expanded when I managed to get my hands on Megaman X for the PC. Again, I got my ass handed to me on a silver platter. Again, I persisted enough to eventually master every single enemy, every single nook and cranny of the game's layout. This was not the work of a gaming genius, folks; this was the result of playing the game from start to finish 50 TIMES over and over again.

And from there, it was a slippery slope to madness. A really, really giddy madness...that involved getting my ass kicked alot.

I liked the game so much, that my sister got annoyed at me because I only kept talking about Rockman almost everyday (at least, that's what she said). I also did something else when I was a kid, to show how much of a fan I was, but that's too embarassing to talk about ...

For me, Megaman was always one of those characters I recognized, but had never played any of their respective games. That persisted until the NT Warrior anime debuted, which I watched because I recognized the name "Megaman." I was hooked from the very first episode... Unfortunately, my watching was sporadic, because I kept forgetting when it came on XD;; Still loved it, though.

At one point, I got ahold of the game The Misadventures of Tron Bonne and played it, and loved it. It was...only later, much later I found out that was a Megaman game XD; But MTB is the first Megaman game I ever played. When the Anniversary Collection came out, I scooped that up and learned the greatness of the Classic series (and found my love for Cutman). I also started playing the X series around there too (I don't care what anyone else says, X6 is an awesome game).

As far as EXE is concerned... I think I was watching Kids WB by chance one day, when the first episode of Axess came on. When I heard the name NT Warrior I was like "Oh, I remember this!" and watched it. I fell in love all over again. When I saw the Roll Soul episode, I fell in love a third time ;P Anyway, it was around that time that I borrowed my boyfriend's copy of BN3 White, and got my ass ceremoniously kicked several times. Mostly by Beastman. But I loved it, got into the rest of the BN games, and never looked back.

These days, I'm a total Megaman fangirl, for all the series xD. I scoop up every bit of information I can, and get the games when I can. And I'm going to echo what was said earlier: When Starforce hits the shelves, you can bet I'm gonna be there to grab it.

I first saw an old friend play Classic 4 and it was fun to watch and i saw it on an arcade TV show the next night, and i bought it a couple of days later and was hooked on Classic ever since. Because i never had an SNES, it was on hold until i got the anniversary collection. I enjoyed watching NT Warrior/NT Warrior Axess and that got me into EXE/BN, and a friend of mine gave me a "forbidden program" to test out the game. Less then 12 hours later, i bought a brand new SP and 4 EXE games... EXE2, 3White and both versions of 4... which later lead to me getting all US EXE games. I still wish 4.5 would be in english, but those things got me hooked onto Rockman/Megaman.. my favorite game series.

I was watching NT Warrior one day when nothing else interesting was on... it was during the N1... I think Skullmania. So I got interested, but didn't know what was going on, and watched the rest of the season. After Commander Beef's True Identity, I figured I should get a Megaman game to try to understand the story (at the time, I didn't know about the whole multiple series thing). The new games were BN3 and Megaman & Bass (which at first I almost read as Megaman: Bass Fishing, which is how I first heard of Bass and thought he was a fish... ironically, my mind eventually started pronouncing the fish like "base", while still pronouncing Bass like the fish XD) . Anyway, I was reading a review for MM&B, and decided it didn't really seem like my style. We went to Gamestop one day and I saw both versions of BN3. The Navi Customizer, only mentioned on White's box so I thought it wasn't in Blue, seemed pretty interesting, so I started with White, and that is the story of my first Megaman game ever.

My little brother had seen EXE3 in a store, and had asked my parents to buy it for him, and they did, for his birthday. Shortly after, he had started watching the show as well. I wasn't very into anime at the time, but I found this show in particular to be very amusing, and I liked how it had to deal with the cyberworld, since I was very hooked on the internet at the time. So I picked up EXE3, got hooked on the characters, and mentioned it to my friend, who said she had played it before, and we began RPing it, which is really what cemented my fandom. =) I'm glad it did, too, because I've met a lot of great people though it.

My at the time best friend loved anime, and I had never heard of it so I was watching tv one day and I Saw Megaman NT Warrior on so I watched it and fell in love with the show, my friend started getting me the manga for my birthday and stuff. Pretty simple way but yeah thats how I got into it

I started getting interested in Megaman when a friend of mine game me Megaman 8 for PSX, I loved it. A few months later, around 2003, I went to U.S.A. for vacations... and well, during one of my shopping sprees, I had already used all my money... but I had enough for one more game... after I checked one place... "Oh, what's this? Megaman Battle Network? Well, he sure doesn't look like the original Megaman... meh, I'll try it anyways..." and well, that's it, after I tried it, I loved it and that's when my Megaman.EXE/Rockman.EXE addiction begun.

Well, Nintendo Power Magazine did it for me.

I mean, I'd heard of Megaman before then, but I read a review/strategy guide for the first Battle Network Game, and I was like, "Cool."

Then, when BN2 actually came out, I fell in love with it. IT. FREAKING. RULED. I still have that Heatguts V3, and I love it to death. Gospel was the hardest boss in a BN game I've ever faced, and Freezeman (or whatever the ice-based dude's name was) was almost harder. Almost.

Then, from there, my sister and I would look around online for pics of megaman, and we stumbled onto Bob and George, and that's how we fell in love with Classic megaman, and got our first taste of Bass (I haden't fought him yet in the WWW comp, okay?)

Next on the list were BN3 and 4, where Erin and I truly learned to love and fear Bass. Finding the Megaman NT Warrior Manga in the bookstore only made us, and I quote, "Squeal like fangirls before a shirtless Cloud" as Erin put it.

THen, I found out about Megaman NT Warrior on Kids WB from a free Promo DVD in the MMBN3 box.

Again, I was hooked. I showed it to anyone I thought would like it, including, after much persuasion, my friend Robert.

Before I showed him, he only knew megaman from the old cartoon show, and he hated it. I showed him NT Warrior, and now he somehow manages to always beat me in every net battle we've ever fought. Especially scary, since he's technically blind.

Somewhere in there, I found my true Megaman favorite character:

Zero.

And through him, I found the X, Zero, and Zero X series of games.

So, in the end, thanks to Nintendo power, I now am connected to a wide series of games! THANKS, NINTENDO!!!

I won't lie. Viewing the sprite comic, Bob and George got me into Megaman. A friend at school told me in sixth grade about it, and I started reading up on it, blah blah, then I downlo---I mean PLAYED Megaman Zero 2 and got hooked.

...Hehe, took me a while to figure out how to equip that saber...XD

I had played my sister's classic MM roms on her laptop, but always died really easy-like.

Here's a strange story- I found the manga by accident. Well, since there were a lot of people at my school reading manga books but sort of hiding them from view, i decided to go and investigate at borders to see what the hype was about. But all was not the same always, my brother pointed to a stack of books and said that they were strange, but i noticed the megaman manga was among the books he was pointing at on the shelf.

i did not even know that the actual name of the japanese series was rockman.exe until i checked in the inside cover of the book, although it listed the japanese name for it (rokkuman eguze.) *sigh* Yeah, mine's a terribly long story.

Megaman X3 was the first game I ever played and beat, around the time I was four. I still have my original copy and play it pretty often on the SNES :D
Playing Megaman X3, I feel, is enough to get a person hooked on just about anything.
