Ryuusei 27 (Spoilers gathering...)

Amachi is contacted by Warrock, who takes control of the man's car to show him where Subaru is. Amachi apparently views Warrock as an ally, as he doesn't seem concerned about being hijacked, and goes along willingly.

Meanwhile, Ox and Wolf scout around, and I believe Ox tries to perform Denpa Henken with a sleeping Goyoda, resulting in a flush, enraged Goyoda who jumps through a window and picks up a police cruiser before Ox leaves. The two are incompatible, after all. The two receive a summons of some sort.

Next, all the FMs save Harp, Gemini, and Cygnus meet in an old building in the middle of a forest. Interestingly enough, the floor of the room they meet in has the symbols of the real life constellations. Utagai was the one who called them their. He chooses Cancer for a demonstration, and uses a machine to turn him into Cancer Bubble. Wolf tells Cygnus (he's addressing Utagai) to hurry up and transform the rest of them, but Utagai responds with a retort that shocks everyone, leading me to believe that Utagai is doing this of his own free will. Soon, all of the FMs have transformed into their merged forms.

Next, Subaru awakens at home, in bed. Akane asks if he's all right etc. While she doesn't say it out right, her waviering voice and trembling hands lead me to believe that she now knows Subaru's secret, as does Amachi.

Warrock is not in the Tranzer, so when Subaru tries to leave to find him, Amachi stops him. Tearing up, Subaru blurts out that Warrock killed Daigo, and flees the startled man.

He finds Warrock on top of a building (Amachi has followed him), and he confronts him about Daigo. Warrock remains fairly passive, but Subaru is pretty emotional, yelling and shouting. Finally, Warrock says farewell and vanishes, and the episode ends with a teary Subaru screaming that Warrock is an idiot.

I liked this episode. Very emotional. These two better reconcile quick, lest they be steamrolled by an army of Denpa Ningen. And damn, who would've thought that the meek guy I originally dubbed 'Mr. Decaf' way back in Ryuusei 2 would become so evil.

Another note, this is the first time we see Crown. His design is pretty laughable, unfortunately. He is a disembodied head made from that FM flamey stuff wearing a crown. He does gain a few points by having a huge 'stache though.

some corrections:

warrock asked amachi for help. only after amachi agreed that warrock took over the car.

one of the fm seijin recognized utagai as cygnus. I forgot which.

what utagai/cygnus said that shocked them is that for them to get their "human-free denpa henkan", they'd have to recognize him as their leader.

subaru was in the hospital. I remember that subaru's room had a more space-y theme Cool

subaru's mom was only worried of losing her son so soon after losing her husband.

subaru told amachi that warrock "might" be his father's killer.

I think it was Wolf who recognized Cygnus, as he was the only one who really had much dialogue after Utagai entered, IIRC. I could be wrong though...

So, is Cygnus going rogue? Very interesting... Can't wait to see what's in store.

That, but I was mostly referring to the whole concept of Subaru's father's disappearance which is being presented very intensively in the anime. (After all, Daigo's fate has been changed from disappearance to presumed death now. There's some serious murder in the show now.) Even though EXE had plenty of moments with Navis, you can't quite get the same effect from characters whose morality is debatable since they're not technically human.

I'm pretty sure Ophiuchus was the one that recognized Cygnus.

This certainly isn't the end of the series by a long shot. I imagine that pretty much the only thing that'll be able to reconcile Subaru and WarRock would be some sort of revelation that WarRock really didn't kill Daigo.

Considering WarRock mentioned the AM planet early on, there's still a solid chance that he'll be revealed as an AM in the anime. Which makes me wonder, why hide it now that he's a fugitive?

I hope so. I'm already disappointed that they seemed to have 'simplified' Tsukasa'a role. He was more complex in the game. His other personality, Hikaru, was Spark Black in the game, but if you listen closely in the anime, Spark Black's voice is just Gemini's without the echo effect.

Well, that's just the voices. Spark White has Tsukasa's voice, and presumably Tsukasa's control. Spark Black may as well be the equivalent of Rockman's creepy hand, in that it's got the FM's voice and the FM's control. If I recall, isn't Hikaru the product of Gemini's control over Tsukasa? I'd imagine that in human form, Hikaru would sound just like Tsukasa. So why not take on Gemini's voice in Denpa Henkan, to help differentiate between Spark White and Spark Black?

Thus far, Gemini Spark has been kinda sitting in the background as an observer after proving he's an extraordinarily dangerous foe. As far as anime goes, that sort of thing tends to foreshadow some sort of absurdly heavy badass final plot.

Tried to capture enough of every character (although just one of delayed reaction to an explosion guy), but I like my odd facial expressions and backgrounds, so that explains why there's more this time. Couple of nice pans somebody could piece together, if they're bored, too.

*crinks neck to deal with hitting delete+space 166 times...*

Don't know if I'll continue doing this. I mostly did because the past two episodes were so artistically awesome. But if you want me to keep on cappin' in the future, speak up.

Okay, that makes plenty of sense - thanks for clearing it up. Nevertheless, I still don't think voices are much to go by.

The anime is diverging from the game. I can just tell.
Point 1. I have yet to see any evidence in the anime that Hikaru exists.
-Firstly, Gemini Spark Black speaks with Gemini's voice minus the static effect, as Comic X6 mentioned.
-Secondly, there is no real "switching" of personalities. Tsukasa, to me, seems to be just a really good actor. Unless Hikaru is being really, really subtle about how he shows himself.

Point 2. WarRock himself said that he led the attack on the space station. If I recall correctly, it was Ox who attacked the space station.

Point 3. I don't know if WarRock is an AM Seiji. In episode 3, he said that the AM planet was destroyed before he was born. Unless he was lying about that too.

But I've been wrong before. I don't know anything about Japanese, and I haven't played the game, so that's two strikes against me. Still, this is just based on my own observations.

That aside, this episode really touched me, especially at the end, how WarRock said he learned to understand "that thing called 'friendship'." This was a very emotional episode and definitely one of my favorites.

Now this is interesting. We have a bunch of human less FMs, and no megaman. Harp note fight alone next doesn't she.

I expect that WarRock will be fighting alongside Harp Note. Forgive me if I'm wrong again, but wouldn't that parallel the event in the game that led to the Andromeda Key finally being recaptured from WarRock?

I'm also fairly certain that it's been well established among the hostile FMs that Harp defected and joined WarRock (I'm pretty sure the FMs mentioned Harp joining WarRock during their meeting), so it wouldn't be a strech to imagine WarRock contacting Harp for help.

Heh, a lot of stuff I was thinking about has been mentioned.
When the FMs first entered the room, I believe one of them pointed out Utagai as "Ningen!" meaning "Human!" And then probably wolf recognized him as Cygnus. Not sure.

As well, one of them said something like "Gemini tou Harp" referring to Gemini and Harp as...someone not going with their plans I guess? I believe that's the case.

And damn. Subaru talking to War Rock was really emotional. The voice acting was great.

As far as I know, Gemini holds other plans for the FMs, I guess. Still, Utagai is what got me. I mean, if my translation of their speech, in my head of course, is correct then Utagai plays a bigger role instead of being Cygnus' puppet. I wonder when Gonta, Luna, and Kizamaro will know about Subaru's secret?
