Hi, Been awhile since the last time show you guys any new AMVs.

Any way, I have 2 amvs that I want to enter this year AMV contest in Otakon convention. Which I am wonder if you guys/girls could help me out to choose which one I should use. The First amv will be a .Hack//Roots and G.U's intro with "Bring me to Life". The 2nd one is Reyuseii No Rockman with "In the end" by linking park.

Here's the first one

Title: Come back
Song: Bring me to Life
Length 3:45 minutes
Series: .Hack//Roots and G.U intro
Link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0ZGE6Y0D

And heres the 2nd one

Title: Till the end
Song: "In The end"
Length: 3:28 (I think?)
Series: Reyuseii No Rockman

I've downloaded both versions but I don't have enough time anymore to watch them both and comment. I'll edit my post tomorrow. I look forward to see them!

First, I am no AMV maker myself. I don't have any experience with AMV's so I am not entirely sure how helpful my reply will be to you. Still, I do hope I can be of some help.

Let me tell you that I definitely enjoyed watching both AMV's and they are both very good. My choice mainly was based on how much I enjoyed watching your AMV's and which one holds the most replay value to me, as well as which one I rewinded back the most during the scenes just to see that part again.

I am not familiar with this series named .Hack//Roots and G.U intro although the series does look interesting to me. However, I have become a fan of the Ryusei series lately so maybe my judgement isn't entirely fair.

Maybe it was the music but in the end I felt more emotional attachment (for a lack of words, English is my second language) with the Ryusei AMV. (for example 2:15-2:35) I definitely liked the first AMV as well but in the end I just enjoyed this one more. Very well put together with several scenes that fit with the music.

So, my choice, and it wasn't an easy one has become your Ryusei AMV. Still, those scenes that contained the text of the video converter were distracting. Is there a possibility to remove the text?

----

Below I give a basic rundown on what I liked and noticed in both your AMV's

.Hack//Roots and G.U intro

- 0:15-0:50 Very strong opening, great scenes for me personally exactly on 0:15-0:30 and then the darker scenes right thereafter, which matches with the music

- 0:50-1:15 Great action scenes, but for some reason the scenes don't seem to flow as well with the music as in the first part. Like I said, I am no AMV maker but I couldn't get rid of that feeling. Still, nice scenes.

- 1:15-1:35 These scenes go along pretty well with the music IMO, I quite enjoyed this part, but I expected a somewhat different scene around 1:35, when the word 'die' is sung.

- 2:13-2:17 Only a small scene, but this took me out of your AMV for a moment. Maybe I've missed it but there was almost no match with the music.

- 2:20-2:38 My most favorite part of this AMV. Awesome!

- 2:48 You have a scene of someone's eyes, but it comes a bit too late to match with the song and I found the picture not entirely fitting for the text. Is there maybe an alternative scene of a person opening his eyes more clearly? Sorry for nitpicking.

- 2:58-3:15 This is my least favorite part, something seems to be missing, it feels as if the flow isn't entirely right. Many scenes have no real connection or match with the music.

The ending was definitely good but I was hoping for a somewhat bigger impact. I am sorry if I sounded a bit too harsh. This was a great AMV and you definitely should be proud on it.

----------------

Ryusei AMV

- I already mentioned it but the 'WINavi' converter text is really distracting. It would definitely be better it you have a way to remove the text. Your other AMV didn't had it.

- I like the way how you put Cancer in it on 0:18.

- 0:31 Nice scene, flows well with the music and text.

- 0:40-1:13 My second favorite part of your AMV.

- 1:14-1:21 Not bad, but these scenes are somewhat weaker then those before or after. Or did you intend to create a small pause between the action?

- 1:24-1:25 Perfect, very good!

- 1:29 This particular scene with Cancer Bubble does seem a bit out of place. It could just be me though.

- 2:11-2:40 For me personally the best and most favorite part of this AMV. The scenes were emotional and the music fit in very well with the best moment around 2:29. Awesome!

- 2:42 Inspector Goyoda was talking very fast in this scene, I understand you sped this part up to fit it in but it looked a bit out of place to me.

- 3:00 The part were Rockman falls down again doesn't coincide with the music. I am being nitpicky but a better match would be possible.

- 3:22 I love how the FM's teleport away and how that matches the final beats.

----------

I hope I was able to help you a bit with this. Have a nice weekend!

1:14- 1:20 you are right was intended to be a little break from the fight scenes. 1:29..hm..I dont know what to say this has been kinda quesitoning myself about that. But Winvista likes to corrupt my AMVs and make them unplayable.

2:10-40 I agree I really outdone myself with these scenes. Wasn't easy making them flow with the music.

As for the Winconverter, Some one put it on the episode when I got it on there, I couldnt get rid of it at all.

Rockman falling again..hmm I do have to agree..but it was sappouse to show where he was fallen into hence I made that scene.

Goyoda (Thats how you spell it?) Was sappouse to be a short clip, but WMM made him us a Battle card and then spoke with the words.

Overall Figure out how to get rid of the Winverter and we have ourselfs a great AMV from your Point of view. Question..How will I be able to get rid of it is the problem-_-

----

.Hack//Roots Is a anime that is on Cartoonnetwork at 5am on saturday in America. Its almost like, .Hack//Sign& Legend of twilight takes 7 years I think?? from the first show and games. .Hack/ G.U takes 7 months after the Incident of Tri-Edges attack on Shino from the episode who the Main character from the Show and Game is Haseo. When you start out you get the useual tutotrial. But he once was a Lv133 PKKer name Terror of Death who has been data drain by Tri-Edge and lost all that level and back down to LV1. Any way lets see If I can clear some things in the AMV

Ok so 0:15-0:50 there were all good k.

on the fighting scene right after I tryed to make their attacks clash right when the instruments clashes.

Die??..Thats part of the lyrics?.huh..didnt know that....I heard it, Didnt expect that, While I was making that part, the Clips went in sync with that little part of the inrtuments when it was swicthing scenes.

2:13-17. While I tryed to search through the clips I couldnt find any parts that would clash with the song. I thought to put those clips there to go with Bring me to life when it was sung.

2:48 I too thought the same thing..But then again Yata (Hes from the Anime and Game to let ya know) He is like a Observer in the world. He watches over everything that happens in the game. Hope this clear things a bit.

Ah, this is where I got a little tricky on the eyes. "When it was born" text appeares the next scenes of Flashbacks from the G.U game of what Haseo remembers What happen to him when he was Pk and how a Unknown item sleeps deep within him. As for the other clips, I made it that he finally wakes up from what happen in the past with what he accomplish during the episode from the beging he log in, and right when he Saw Shino being deleted. Hope this info help, gotta see the anime to understand a little bit more. Don't buy the game though, Cause I only used the the intro for some fight scenes.

I didnt want to spoil any more of the Episodes hence lack of a big impact for the ending. It was to show Haseo being Data drain by Azure Kite (Viruse) and then Obvon coming in to welcome him back to the World after he got data drain.

Hope some of this help you out. I do agree where you were getting at, cause it does at first look it may not seem to macth the song. Oh and thanks for that one part in the song, I did not know she said "die" in the lyrics.

Overall they both tie in with their own Appeal right? I'm glad you enjoy these 2 AMVs hope some of my explanation help a bit for .hack.
