Ok well i'm around the elite 4 and my pokemon are around level 42-46. Are there ANY better places to train than victory road??? The pokemon types there are starting to get boring and leveling up is starting to get slow.

Also where's the lady who trades berries for TMs???

The field outside Sunyshore City is a great place to train. Pokemon in the 40s...Floatzel, Gastrodon, Mr.Mime (For Diamond)/Purugly (For Pearl).

The Tentacruel in the waters above Sunyshore make good fodder for a Ground, Psychic or Electric type. Any evolved pokemon in general gives plenty of experience, usually around 1000 for each battle. The upper levels of Mt. Coronet also have plenty of evolved pokemon in their 40s.

And you can't forget the Vs. Seeker; just go to a place with a bunch of high-level trainers gathered in one spot (like just outside Sunyshore on Route 222). This also allows you to get more money, and you can ALWAYS use more money.

Seconding the Tentacruel. They're pretty fast and can slightly screw up EV training if you're doing that, but they give great experience and once you have a good way to fight them they rarely give you any surprises.

I'm just wondering, are we allowed to post some of our friend's FC and stuff for this game?

I don't own it myself, but I've got a friend who's always itching to get new people onto his list.

...No starter pokemon? While it's true that you have other pokemon on the team that have the starters' types, why pass them up? The starters always have some of the best stats in the game.

As for the last slot on your team, you could certainly do with a flying type. You could get Staraptor, who has Intimidate, and you can never have too much of Intimidate, or you could get Drifblim which has a unique Ghost/Flying combination. And I would also recommend a Fire type, but there's only one you can get before the National Dex outside of the starters; Rapidash. If you do want a Fire type, it's better to wait until after the National Dex so that you have a little more variety.

Your names are creative. And would anyone mind if I said how you get a legal darkrai in the japanese games? Maybe they'll do something like that in other countries. Like here(US).

As of right now, hacks. I don't think the movie has come out yet.

I have Pokemon Pearl, and I seem to like ghost pokemon very much. If anyone can help me, would you please tell me what would be the best combination of ghost pokemon to have (regardless of level)?

Gengar, Shuppet, Spiritomb, Mismagius, Dusknoir, and Froslass. Although having a team that all have the same type (and therefore the same weaknesses and stengths) might not be a good idea.

While I agree with you, there is one type that happens to be the exception to that rule: an all-Water team. What with the obscene amount of Water types out there, there are dual Water types for everything except Ghost and Fire, and a few out there that can cover for Water's weaknesses. The three that are probably essential are a Water/Ground like Quagsire for Electric types, a Water/Ice like Walrein for Grass types and a Water/Dragon like Kingdra since it has none of Water's weakness; you could fill the last three slots with whichever other types you want and you'd be set.

If for no other reason, teams centered around a single type make for some good fun. That, and they make you feel like a gym leader. Razz

I'd suggest a Lucario. It's fighting/steel, has decent speed, and Aura Sphere is a very useful attack that does good damage and ignores evasion. It has a decent movepool as well. Mine knows fighting, ghost, and dragon moves.

I was considering Lucario, but I decided that Porygon-Z, Gengar, and Garchomp are fast enough to handle any relatively quick threat. So goodbye Toxicroak hello Tyranitar.
