Well, like I said, never say never, UN. Slash and Baxter Yuuichirou were drawn, just not inked/finished. And I still have an itching to make Shadowman Foot Soldiers+Beastman Mousers. But for now, this was enough.
Here's a sad little quicky I threw together the past two nights. Mostly as practice to draw Hinoken, before I do another one of him for an art trade with Haly K. But then I lost it and made some chibi Barrels, along with some others. Prepare to groan and do exactly what the title says:

I'd throw a brick at you but still, that's something alright. Very nice work. And just put bunny ears on someone. Like in that one stream episode. |

Well, despite knowing I'm limited with my mouse skills, I decided I wanted to try an oekaki. So here's a little EXE/Ryuusei baseball-themed one I did at Atomic-Fire that I felt turned out pretty decent:
Daisuke Mania
If you want to see how bad my real first attempt at oekaki was, you can check out this scrapped link. It's that laughably bad. Basically just saved it for posterity's sake, so I could say I improved over time. And in just one day, I think the Daisuke one is much better, so I can't complain. But I still don't really know what I'm doing yet...
Let's Bowling
And one minor lineart preview for part 3 of that Final Fantasy 12 comic I'm working on. Gilgamesh has been crossed with someone from Futurama. Huh? Read the description to figure that out.

Another 3 part update. Two more oekakis you may or may not have seen at Atomic Fire.
First is sorta spoilerish, if you haven't seen Ryuusei Ep. 26. Basically just a headshot of Utagai, though. Whether the BG makes it REALLY spoilerish is up to you:
Trust Me, Subaru...
Now some Classic Megaman from me for once. This is done in more of the manga style of Hitoshi Ariga, and it's Shadowman! Messing around with the watercolor oekaki brush to do my main layer of color. Shading wasn't though. And some slight touchup was done with my photo program:
Ariga-ish Shadowman
Finally, a random Classic enemy?! That's it? Yep. I called this guy Cactus Joe. Whether or not that's really his name, I don't remember. But that's what I always called the green cowboy-looking enemy with the silver gun arm from Tomahawkman's stage in Megaman 6:

Holy schnikes, who on earth has been going through the fanart galleries lately? Seems like a lot of people's threads are jumping 100-200 views a day! Guess I better repeat this again, since I'm getting closer. Since nobody seems to want a kiriban dealy on DA from me, if you take a capture of my thread here at lucky number 7777 views, you can have a free request from me!
That segways nicely into my update tonight. Hit the 2,000 pageview mark at deviantart a little while ago, and made this to commemorate it. Quite a few Price is Right specials on TV this week, so that influence helped me come up with the idea for this pic:
2,000 Hit Kiriban - Let's Play Pluku!
Oh, and if you're lookin', Haly, I'm inking one more part of your art trade right now, and then I'm ready to color. So I really am working hard on it, even though it's taking a while. Been too distracted doing those Ryuusei caps. ^^; _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

I remember Plinko from the last times I watched The Price is Right. Nice idea!
Bubbleman's been appearing a fair amount in your art lately... how fun is it to draw him? XD |

Eh, I just really think he's easy to draw and has a lot of comedic value, so naturally, I tend to throw him in a lot. Like I said on the Ninja Pukus pic, I used to draw Ninja Turtles a lot when I was a kid, and he really isn't that much different to draw than they were back in the day. Is he my favorite? Probably not. But I'm a guy who really doesn't play favorites, so I like to think I'll end up drawing something about every character one day. I'm not super biased against my fanart characters!
...Of course there's also my secret desire to figure out some way to get just about everyone here who hasn't commented on my stuff to comment eventually. And if it takes me forever to draw something about some character that compels each and every one of you to say something, I will!! Bwahahaha! Yep, you don't want to be on my list forever, do ya?! LOL... _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

You may remember Haly K showing her half of the art trade we were doing, and now, here's my half!
Don't know if any of this really turned out how I envisioned it, other than teacher Match. Something seems odd about their bodies in a funky way to me. I still might do some random touchup or changes to it, but I'll let you know if that happens, Haly. You had to wait long enough, anyways. Also, if you want any of the 3 pieces to this separately without the text, I can post them in my scraps or Imageshack them for ya. For everybody else, it should get you in the mood for getting out of school and getting ready for vacation time!

Nice work. Real nice work. And funny too. But why he would be a teacher is weird. As weird as shuuko being a teacher. How old is she? But this is about haly's favorite couple/characters. Not mine. Great work again. |

Re "Pluku":
Major bonus points for referencing Plinko. As a loyal fan of The Price is Right, the effect that artwork has had on me was instant and profound. You certainly have kept an eye out for detail--and most of the aspects of the game are quite accurate, from the stairs on the right side, to the symmetrical distributions of the payoff slots on the bottom row of the board. I admit, seeing Bubbleman's head as the chip itself game me a few laughs. The only thing about this is probably Bubbleman's head at the top left--that has no corresponding prop on the actual game board. Nevertheless, you did an excellent job, and you managed to make an old fan quite pleased. Bravo.
You did a good job with the art up for trade. The setup was quite nice--as if I was reading a random Rockman-themed comic strip. I won't comment on the pairings, as that is not my right to do so. However, the art looks splendid.
I'll have to keep a watch on this thread in the future. Cheers to you! _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! Thank you, Middy. The reason for the larger Bubble head in the corner was really just because I wanted to show off that Bubblechip head a bit larger. Those were all just copied and pasted on, and I took liberties making a couple of them bigger than I should have anyways. But for my money, they were still too small, so I threw that big one on as well.
If I was ever the technical artist, using rulers and compasses and the like, the board would be a bit more even. I'm never one to be that precise. But I did try to pay attention to making the correct number of slots as I was thinking how to put the words and icons on it.
And you might be seeing one more TPiR piece from me before the summer ends. Our old friend Metal Shark Player gave me the idea to do Blizzardman as the mountain climber guy, and I might have another connection or two I can make in a non-thank you themed pic. _________________ Avatar art thanks to toberboobap, animated gif thanks to Dr. Wily II

Man, I don't even know why I try offering these kiriban thingies! I sat there a couple days ago and saw I was at 7776. So I waited to see it turn over to lucky #7777, and once I refreshed, somebody bumped it over by one. And obviously nobody took a screenshot of it, or I assume I would've seen it by now. Tried 3 times, haven't had a taker once. Sigh...oh well, guess I've got enough on my plate to deal with anyways. Thanks for all the views and comments again, everyone.
Two pics for today's update. First is another AF oekaki which screwed up on me, so I had to finish it with my photo program. Wood Soul Rock has gotten more than he bargained for in that form. Swallowman and crew in bird form...kinda.
The birds and the trees
Second one heads back to the classic series again. After doing that "Cactus Joe" pic, I decided to do a bunch of chibis of the real Joe characters from 1-6. Sniper, Hammer, Skeleton, Crystal, etc. The title is supposed to be read like G.I. Joe, even though that's easier said than done. Their inventor has a cameo as well.

Sorry about that. I forgot about it. Ha ha ha. That bird and wood soul one is funny right there. Real funny.
Incredibly cute work on the joe figures. I'm sure they'd sell pretty well.
.....I got it! That's how he can fund his next plots. He can even make things like woodjoe Combining woodman and a basic joe. |
