Now now, don't worry. This isn't some random tidbit that was put on Wikipedia by a prankster. There is, in fact, a Nights game come out on the Wii, and since I'm apparently the only one here on REO who has a supscription to the GameInformer magazine ( Who happened to have some info on it in this month's issue.), I'm the only one who knows about it. So, Here's some basic info:

According to the article, its name is "Nights: Journey of Dreams", and it'll be released sometime this fall. ( But my guess is that it might be later, maybe about Chirstmas.) It says that the story will "revolve around the themes of hope and courage", but the thing that caught my attention is the use of masks for different abilities, like in LoZ: Majora's Mask. ( Examples from GameInformer: a dragon mask lets Nights withstand winds, a dolphin mask will transform him into a dolphin to swim underwater, and a rocket mask will let him fly faster.)

Also, GameInformer states that Sega "is hoping to use the Wii controls in some new and innovative ways" for the game controls. There's also supposedly a two-player mode, and the game will somehow use the Forecast Channel of the Wii to change the in-game setting according to the weather. Quite interesting, I must admit.

Now, I would scan and show you the screenshots that goes with the article, but I'm afraid of any... legal issues that might occur. But I'll tell ya this: the screenshots look awesome.

( But really now, am I the only one here who reads GameInformer, or any gaming magazine for that matter, and found out about this? Sad )

Ive known about it since the beginning of April if not earlier. I for one never played the original on saturn and am looking forward to playing the new one.

EDIT: I know about it because Rangerboard is up with all the rumors and such and the rumors have been around a while and I want to say March but Ill say early April was when it was officially announced, game informer is a little late on that I think my Nintendo power that came a few weeks ago had an article about it

P.S. Game Informer always was slow IMO on getting info out, there are a few games I can think of that Game Informer didnt release anything about until after the systems magazine (I.E. Nintendo Power, PSM) came out with info on it.

Well, I used to be a subscriber to Game Informer, PSM, and Nintendo Power. None of 'em anymore, however. Even though GI is the leading gaming mag in terms of subscribers, it is afterall, nothing more than an upstart newsletter that started here in Minnesota. And we are not paradise for the gaming world, by any means. You know those Gameboy Advance Dragonball Z games like 'Legend of Goku'? Those were partially made here! And that's about it in terms of our gaming connection. Neutral

So all those other publications out on the West Coast probably have better access to info at Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft's American offices than the reporters do here. Not that they probably don't travel or have their sources out there, but I'm sure it's part of the reason why they might not be the quickest to publish some news.

Never played the original, but thought it looked sorta interesting. Curious to see how it would play out on the Wii.

Yeah, I've know about this for a month or two. It should play well on the Wii.
The controls are perfect for the Wii. And as I wanted to play the first one, I will be playing this.
