Alright, I'll give it a shot this time around. Screencap link at the bottom of the summary.
We start out with the remaining FMs trying to contact somebody out there by the sounds of things. But all they're getting is static, so Ox is ticked. More talking including the words "wave road" and "Cygnus," and it sounds like the argument is about to get worse. But Cancer has entered the room!
"Pay attention to the big announcement I have to make, Buku!" Let's not, go the other FMs, as they turn away and get back to their argument. Cancer tries to get their attention again, and before he gets whacked by Ox, he opens up his claw to reveal a shiny Andromeda Key!
They flashback to last week's scene where War Rock bites down on it, and I believe the FMs question whether or not what Cancer has is the real thing. Wolf takes a look, and then we dive into Cancer's flashback bubble of beachyness! Hey look, a real crab wants to make friends! But Cancer's too depressed and sniffling to notice.
It's a familiar voice! Who? Gemini Spark B?! And he's giving Cancer the Andromeda Key? SWEET, BUKU!!! *Yoink* And so that's how Cancer saved the day. Back to reality, Ox takes a look, and then Cancer has this sweet maniacallly proud laugh. But Ox decides to whack him for acting like he did anything.
*Another flashback with the Gemini twins saying something important I don't understand* And Cancer tries to explain that plan to the FM group. Ooooh, they gasp, as we see Earth explode. Then we see some construction trucks, a light brightens on one, and they all drive away. I assume the FMs took control...I don't think it has anything to do with that Navi Shovelman or whatever he is...but it's reminiscent of how Navis could drive vehicles.
Next scene takes place at the hospital, where Utagai is recovering from his possession. He seems to be disturbed at what he tried to do with the Andromeda Key while possessed by Cygnus. War Rock says something, I assume to reassure him a bit, Amachi talks about what Subaru did, so Utagai makes sure to thank both Subaru and Amachi.
Back to former FM headquarters, with the glowy blocks that coverted the FMs into their denpa ningen forms. Without Cygnus, Cancer is trying to take some leadership, but Ox again slaps him outta the way to take control of the discussion. Poor Cancer.
Cancer now gets to play Utagai Wing by working on the control panel to activate the glowy blocks. Or should I say he gets to play Meijin?!!!
"Dimensional Ningenerator, tenkai!!!!" *Plays the little CF chip slot in jingle*
Ox goes into the machine first. But wait, he's not turning into the denpa ningen form!! He's turned into evil Gonta!!!! Ophichious is up next, and transforms into evil Luna!! And we keep going with Wolf becoming Juurou, Libra becoming Ikuta, and Crown becoming...Jean are we going with?. Oh wow, we're all human!! "Hey, wait, what about me?," asks Cancer. And the rest teleport away. Poor Cancer again, buku. Oh wait, it's Gemini B again! And he's unusually happy! But still, no help to Cancer.
Subaru is at school, talking to War Rock. And he gets slapped on the back by the real Gonta and crew.
Time for the fakes to take a stroll through the city. "Excuse me, miss" goes um...F-Jean? *screams and runs!!!!* What's with her, F-Jean wonders. Um, maybe that arrow in your back. F-Luna is at a theater with some crying women (no clue on the movie, but it is obviously a chick flick.) There's a major traffic accident, and that has F-Juurou ticked at the stupid people. Some kid is throwing a tantrum at the mall, and F-Ikuta observes the scene he's causing. Mom walks away, kid follows, and then sounds happier as they leave. F-Ikuta is stunned at something about that. F-Gonta is at a theme park, watching a rollercoaster go by and...gets angry at seeing a happy girl with her parents? Huh?
F-Luna watches a bit of the movie, but doesn't get it or something, so she teleports out. Libra and Crown also appear back at HQ with her, back in their FM form. Could it be they don't like being human? Whatever is in store next, it ends with Cancer having a little sweatdrop form.
Interesting episode, some nice art, even if it is mostly FM forms. Interesting to see that this machine can do some special things, but I wonder what Gemini's plan is about for these remaining FMs. Or why only some of them came back after their human transformation. We'll find out next week I guess. And as you can tell, I loved Cancer trying to be both the leader and his button pushing scene.

EDIT: Here are the pans, so now Unknown Neo can get a better glimpse of what the fakey human forms look like. Which, as mentioned, is nothing more than an FM crest dealy on their clothes.

So they turned into the human forms? As in, they look like the humans they transformed with? Sounds interesting. |

I noticed that in all the incidents with the FM-Ningen, the people they were observing were emotionally stressed. I don't know exactly what they were doing, but they seemed to be observing. Whatever they were doing, it left them very, very confused.
Did anyone besides me notice that Spark Black did all of the talking in this episode? In fact, in that one scene with Cancer, Spark Black was by himself. Just an interesting side note. XP
Oh, and apparently Tsuaksa's Wave Scanner was powering the magical switcharoo machine. XP
...I can't help wondering that all of this has something to do with restoring the Andromeda Key's power. =| _________________

Hmm... That key Spark Black gave Cancer... It's obviously a fake. It looks nothing like the discarded trinket that Tsukasa picked up last week. Where's the crack? Where's the opaqueness? Nowhere. Also, note that it was Spark Black, Gemini, who handed it over and did all the talking. That, and him giving it to Cancer out of all the FMs, makes me arrive at the conclusion that Gemini is just mentally screwing with them all.
That out of the way, the scene with Utagai was cute, and I looked the piano bit in the background. Looks like Utagai has learned to finally open himself up to others.
And Crown, scaring people is what you get for merging with a ghost. I guess this is the only way we're ever going to see Jean in the anime, being dead and all.
Looks like the FMs were trying to call home in the beginning. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

You can actually tell them apart from the real people. The human-form FMs all have the symbols of their respective constellations somewhere on their clothes. For example, human form Ox has an ox head on his shirt whereas Gonta has cutlery. _________________

Has anyone else noticed the mention of "minus energy"? I believe one of the FM Seijins said that in the beginning. Also, does anybody know how Cancer got a hold of Tsukasa's Transer? |

My, my. What interesting guesses

SeijinKage13 wrote: | Has anyone else noticed the mention of "minus energy"? | Yup, and that's why the FM's are going around town as ningens.
(Warning! Japanese language lesson) "Minus" is the foreign term the Japanese use to mean "negative". There's a local word, but it's considered a mega-techie term (I've only met one person that actually used it), so "minus" was used so the kids can understand
Negative energy from the FM planet was the original power source for the key, and Cancer was told that negative energy from humans will be good enough since, for the moment, they can't contact their planet.
The FM's walked around where people are crying, screaming, shouting, etc., to find out what stimulant they can use to generate the amount of negative energy they needed.
So far they found people that cried, screamed, shouted, but all, so far, were not caused by negative feelings
I'll need to watch the ep again, though. I didn't quite get why Wolf didn't get it. _________________ TGS 2007:MISSED! T_T |

It was an interesting episode. The fact that the FM Ningen can change into a likeness of their Denpa Henkan hosts could pose a problem for Subaru and WarRock later on... although, I suppose that goes without saying.
What exactly was it that they couldn't understand at the end? Was it human behaviour in general? Or the specific situations they were observing and the human reactions to them? _________________ "There is no coincidence, only Hitsuzen" Yuko, xxxHolic

Didn't Gemini Spark's scenario in the game involve positive and negative energy? Hmm.
I'm still not sure about the key being genuine. Of course Spark Black would say he fixed it. If you're going to con someone in that manner, giving the person something that looks workable is smarter than something that is obviously broken. Still, we'll see what comes of this. I still think Gemini is screwing with them though. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

Hey, so the FM-humans have the symbols on them just like the navis and Net-OPs from the old shows huh? That's pretty cool. |

My guess is that they just don't get Humans and their complex emotions, making them a bit confuzzled. A lack of general understanding of Humans doesn't help them, either.
And I agree with Comic X6. Since when does the Andromeda Key have a cork stopper? XP _________________

The neck with the cork in it was probably put there by Gemini Spark, no doubt. There's got to be a way to fill it back up, after all.
My guess is that the key is the real thing, and the FMs are just getting duped into doing Gemini's dirty work for him. Considering how hard Gemini Spark was able to pwn Cygnus when he reached his peak level of anime villain badassery, getting it from the rest of the FMs probably wouldn't be much trouble. _________________ *placeholder* |
